26/07/2025: my first time here and I was impressed with all aspects of the service etc provided.I am in catering buisness 45 years ,this is the blue Ribband of Breakfast.I am 6ft 3 and banged my head on a ceiling beam , but thats the price you pay for a wonderful view of the River Dodder .😊😊👍

10/07/2025: We were pleased with our visit to this establishment. Despite the large number of visitors, they prepared the food relatively quickly. The waiter was polite and patient, advised what was best to take. Everything was delicious. The price is a bit steep, but I didn't really get my bearings on the prices in general. Also, there was a crushed woodlouse on one of the plates, but that happens, it's not a big deal, I just asked to change the plate. The Napoleon cake was wonderful.

Service personnel were extremely kind and service was good, even when we arrived right at opening.
Highly recommend the wings or the roast, but all food we tested was excellent.

02/07/2025: Cute little shop! We loved the focaccia there so much that we went back the next day to get some more. The granola was also delicious. The lavender matcha isn't for everyone, but I liked it. The service was super friendly and sweet. I highly recommend this shop to everyone! Since you can't make reservations, we were worried we wouldn't get a table, but it worked out both times. It was very clean and cutely decorated.
15/06/2025: Unbeatable array of sweet treats and sandwiches. Highly recommend the tracker/ energy balls!
Coffee is also top notch. It gets very busy and in my option, has too many seats inside which leads to people who are queuing for takeaway to be very cramped. I only ever get takeaway so it doesn’t bother me. Perhaps another bench outside would be good.

09/07/2025: We have been many times and each time it gets a little bit more disappointing
Today we arrived and as it was a beautiful day we asked to sit outside - told in a curt manner that we would have to come in to order- ok
We did not have huge issue with that but others were promptly seated and orders taken outside which was strange at best
Food was ok but service was really poor - no checking if we were ok or needed extra serviettes or cutlery after starter - uninterested staff with zero motivation
It’s a shame as it’s a lovely place
09/07/2025: We recently had our wedding at The Anglers Rest. The setting is so beautiful, but what really made our day so special was the service from the team, especially Agata. Agata and the team could not have done more to make our day so easy and relaxed, nothing was too much trouble. The food and wine were excellent, so many of our guests commented on the quality! We danced the night away to DJ Niall, who the venue recommend to us, he was brilliant!
Thanks to the anglers for everything, we will definitely be back for dinner soon.

27/06/2025: This is Vanilla Pod's second best cousin. VP is next door and excellent and always busy so ppl who can't get in there, opt for here. The staff are great. The fried food is delicious but only comes with a magnitude of chips. Some salad on the plate would be helpful. The garlic mayo needed more mayo and less garlic, it resembled garlic paste. Would I return? Yes. But I'd avoid the fried food, which is unfortunately my Achille's heel.
22/06/2025: The food is quite nice, I usually get the smashed avocado or the veggie breakfast, but everything else I've had has been enjoyable.
Service is very good.
Good music (in my opinion at least) and plenty of seating.
Gets busy quite quickly in the mornings.
