Fujiyama Sushi
Dublin
22/03/2026: There is a separate Chinese menu.
This is a great Chinese restaurant.
The steamed fish is really, really delicious.
The fish had a slightly fried texture and was crispy yet plump. You can also request that the bones be removed.
The seasoning has a slight mala flavor, and it is a taste that Koreans will definitely love.
It is the small size, but the portion is larger than expected, so it is enough for three women to share just this and rice.
17/03/2026: Extremely unfortunate experience.
I have been here many times and love the cuisine but must warn other patrons.
DO NOT GO ON A PUBLIC HOLIDAY.
I go here often for special occasions, beautiful decor and atmosphere, quick service, and good, well priced food. However, this past St Patrick's day has permanently tainted my experience.
Me and my family were queueing for 30 minutes. This was to be expected due to the busy period. During this time however we were not told ONCE about the reduced menu we were going to have to choose from. Their previously expansive menu was 10-12 items. And the dishes listed were doubled in price. Every dish was 20+ euro, a complete change from their usual price point. The portion of food was the same, not mirroring the price increase. When we wanted to leave due to the uncontrolled, loud environment we were charged 50 cent per takeaway box where we previously weren't charged EVER. The staff did very well to move things along and serve quickly, but as a regular this change was exorbitant. Reflects extremely poorly on this once reliable business. It's gimmicky and reads as greedy. Would reccomend any other day but a public holiday, my trust in this establishment however has been hurt.

4Friends Burger & Pizza
Dublin
17/01/2026: I used to order from 4Friends back when I worked in the city, back when it was a place you would actively recommend rather than quietly apologise for. I am now living on the other side of town, usually relying on Deliveroo to get my 4friends, and after a lot of travel I found myself back in the city centre this week. Feeling nostalgic and full of goodwill, I brought my girlfriend in, proudly talking it up like a man revisiting an old pub that once served the perfect pint.
What I found instead was deeply depressing.
The first thing you notice is not the smell of burgers or sizzling beef. It is grime. Tables smeared with old sauce, sticky to the touch, looking like they had lost a fight with a bottle of ketchup sometime last Tuesday and never recovered. The place felt tired, unloved, and frankly unclean. Then came the real horror. After eating, I went downstairs to the toilet and was greeted by a smell so aggressively sewage like that it should come with a warning sign and a hard hat. Sitting upstairs you are blissfully unaware, but once you know, you know. And it makes the idea of eating there again physically impossible.
Now to the burgers. I ordered the Professor, a burger I once travelled for, a burger I spoke about with the reverence normally reserved for religious experiences. This version was a pale imitation. Somewhere along the way you have swapped out your beef supplier for something generic, bland, and utterly forgettable. The signature juiciness is gone. The flavour has packed its bags and left without saying goodbye. You can taste the cost cutting in every bite.
My girlfriend’s reaction summed it up perfectly. One bite, a pause, and a polite “it’s just ok”. That silence was louder than any review I could write.
While I was there, a delivery arrived from Sysco, which rather confirmed my suspicions. This is not progress. This is what happens when you start shaving quality to save a few bob. The place was empty, and that should worry you. I want you to be around. I want 4Friends to succeed. But you do not get there by serving burgers that could have come from anywhere.
Behind the counter there were three staff members and a rotating cast of their mates coming in, laughing and joking, while tables sat uncleared and customers sat wondering why nobody cared. Basic stuff is being ignored. Cleaning tables. Keeping the place fresh. Making sure it does not smell like a blocked drain.
This place used to be worth the journey. Now it feels like it is going to the dogs. Please go back to the original beef supplier. Please sort out the hygiene. Please fix that smell. Because cutting corners does not save you money in the long run. It just drives away the people who once loved you.
Do better. With genuine affection from a once loyal customer.
10/01/2026: Loved this place but recently their portions have reduced (tapioca dice) by almost half and the price has increased. Understandable to have a small price increase but cutting the potion size that drastically was pretty disappointing as someone who has spent a good amount of money here over the years.

Axis Art Centre and Theatre
Dublin
03/12/2025: Lovely people, great space and show. I would recommend a visit to this venue. The only area that could be improved is the bar, queueing for quite a while, perhaps pre order on arrival prior to the show would save a lot of time and solve the queuing problem.
13/10/2025: Superb play "My Right Foot" by Michael Patrick Campbell.

Bittersweet Cafe
Dublin
18/09/2025: Too expensive for what is offered
14/09/2025: Overall quite good.
We had the French Toasts, he love them, but i fond them a bit dry, and too much cinnamon.
Lattés were great and so was the mixed berry muffin.
Place is quite small so it gets packed fast.

Sin É
Dublin
03/01/2026: Top staff, good pint, something something Flanders.
21/11/2025: Was refused with a group of my friends by a rude American bartender because I was wearing cargos 😂 he then said it’s because they have a cuff they are tracksuit bottoms. Never seen the like, it you go here because of the name and think it’s an Irish bar expect anything but. It’s a hipster joint where apparently cargos are not allowed

Bel Gelato
Dublin
18/10/2025: I like the strawberry and chocolate ice cream because it isn't too sweet or artificial. The ice cream at Bel Gelato is better than the majority of the gelaterias in Italy.
23/09/2025: Bel Gelato in Dalkey is, without a doubt, the best ice cream in Ireland — truly Italian-style and full of authentic flavor. My personal favorites are the pistachio, which is rich and nutty, and the salted caramel, which instantly reminds me of the *dulce de leche* I grew up loving in Uruguay.
The service is always warm and welcoming, whether from the friendly staff or the owner himself, and the place is usually busy — a clear sign of its excellent quality.
One of the best parts is making the cycle from Dublin down to Dalkey along the dedicated bike lanes and rewarding yourself at the end with an amazing gelato. It’s the perfect combination of exercise, scenery, and indulgence. Highly recommended!

A Slice Of Paradise
Dublin
08/12/2025: This is the place for a enjoyable day out
06/12/2025: Attended a conference at Leopardstown Racecourse and was really impressed. The facilities are excellent – modern, well organised, and perfect for hosting large events. The staff were helpful throughout, and everything ran smoothly.
The views over the racecourse are fantastic and add something really special to the day. Overall, a brilliant venue for conferences, meetings or events. Highly recommended.
