Tucano Restaurant
Dublin
28/10/2025: Tucano restaurant in Dublin is a true celebration of Brazilian gastronomy in the heart of Ireland.
The atmosphere is welcoming, the service is impeccable, and the food… simply wonderful! Authentic flavors, well-seasoned and served with care. Each dish brings a little piece of Brazil and a dose of good nostalgia.
The prices are fair and reflect the quality of what is offered.
Just one detail: the musical selection could be more diverse. Playing sertanejo universitário all the time doesn't represent the richness of Brazilian music — which ranges from samba to MPB, from forró to bossa nova. This is a suggestion to make the experience even more complete and unforgettable.
27/10/2025: First time trying Brazilian food in Dublin and it was such a pleasant surprise; warm, welcoming atmosphere with cosy music playing in the background, filled with comforting flavours that took me straight to Brazil 🇧🇷

Old Music Shop
Dublin
02/02/2026: We had a lovely enjoyable afternoon tea here where the food, tea and coffee were delicious.
The favourite was the toasted fruit cake.
The selection of savoury and sweet were all tasty.
The staff were very friendly and attentive.
08/01/2026: We came for afternoon tea with my 8 years old daughter as her very first experience of this tradition. Until a certain point, everything was lovely: a calm atmosphere, beautiful table setting, and the feeling of taking part in a special ritual together. However, the moment that changed everything was when she noticed that other tables had plenty of fresh strawberries on their afternoon tea stands, while ours had none at all. For an adult, this might seem like a small detail. But for a child — and especially when it’s her first introduction to afternoon tea — it matters a lot. Her immediate question was simple and heartbreaking: “Why do they have it and we don’t?” From that moment, my attitude towards the place shifted. Afternoon tea is about care, attention, and making every guest feel equally valued. When that balance is broken — particularly for a child — the experience loses its magic. Perhaps it was a mistake or an ingredient shortage, but no explanation was offered, and no alternative was suggested. Sometimes a small gesture or a few words can change everything — but that didn’t happen here. The venue itself is charming and has great potential, but for us this visit ended with disappointment. When it comes to a child’s first impression, details are not minor — they are the foundation of trust and memory.

Stillgarden Distillery
Dublin
06/01/2026: A café promoted even by HOTbox.
After a sauna, all we wanted was to have a coffee. We arrived and found a sign saying “Ring the bell.”
A girl came to the door and asked us, “Do you want to have a coffee?” We said yes.
Her response? She flipped the sign to “Closed” and said they were closed.
So what is the point of promoting this café and listing opening hours from 8:45 on weekdays if, in reality, you’re not open at all?
Very disappointing and confusing experience.
04/01/2026: Had a great tour and Gin making class. I would highly recommend it.

Scholars
Dublin
14/03/2026: Food and service is always fantastic!
13/03/2026: My local, busy pub, decent staff, I marked a star off for the lack of windows, also my kids are coeliac and they weren't very helpful with this unlike other pubs in the area where they would at least be able to fry some chips or something for them.

Grand Central
Dublin
17/03/2026: A former bank transformed into a welcoming venue, good value for money.
15/03/2026: Irish coffee, rather cold and bland despite the whiskey; they didn't add sugar to the cream, and the coffee was that lukewarm, watery brew you get everywhere. €9. The place is very nice, but the service was listless. There weren't many customers. They didn't even bring me a saucer or spoon and were surprised that I wanted to pay in cash.

Lord Mayor's Lounge
Dublin
28/02/2026: Excellent experience for afternoon tea.
Refills of sandwiches and scones are unlimited.
The scones and pastries are truly delicious. The only slight drawback was that the sandwiches were a little bland.
A wide selection of teas and a few coffees are available.
The setting is beautiful (special mention for the fresh flowers).
Thank you, Claudia, for serving us so professionally.
