05/11/2024: Food was v disappointing I thought. It’s very basic, not worth the price. You go down the canal for like 5 minutes and then turn around. People running it are nice but I wouldn’t recommend it. We did it as a work get together. Woudlnt do it again

08/12/2024: Absolutely terrible experience. The front of house staff was rude and should learn how to smile and greet customers. The food was awful, eggs burnt toast cold and soggy. And overpriced. Wouldn’t be returning again.

03/12/2024: Went in for quick drink before getting the Luas, dark haired barmaid was essentially struggling with a quiet Monday, I sat at the bar and it took an age to even get noticed. Finally got served and after a minute or two her colleague asked if I was ok to which I said I’m waiting on a pint to which she snapped saying don’t double order, which I didn’t I was simply asked a question and answered. Even the fella beside me at the bar was shocked. If she’s like that with people she’s really in the wrong profession. It’s gorgeous pub but this left a sour taste unfortunately. Barmaids attitude needs addressing.

30/11/2024: Weirdo in the jacks and it wasn’t me! Left an item behind on Thursday, no bullshit, got it back on Saturday. Fair play, could’ve dumped it,didn’t, kept it for me. Thanks a million.

01/12/2024: Average food and service for an expensive experience. It's like the restaurant have two different chefs: One preparing the starters and another one for the rest of courses. The starters were amazing, the rest was a total disappointment (overcooked meat, tasteless sides and desserts), additionally the waiting time between meals was extremely long. For the price paid (110€ per head) we expected much better...

04/11/2024: It started wonderfully but by the end we couldn't wait to leave. Having just returned to live in Dublin after 30 years, I thought I should take the wife out to one of the fancy new restaurants that are now common place. Volpe Nera looked very promising and we were delighted to get a booking for a Saturday evening. After arriving we ordered the 'bites', and 'starters' along with the main dish. The bites and starters were lovely - no complaints. Then we waited for the main dish. And waited. And waited. We waited so long we found ourselves turning every time a waiter entered the room. The meal arrived about an hour and a half after we had ordered. The staff were apologetic and took the cost of our drinks off the bill (one glass of wine and one juice). It could have been worse. - the table behind us had to wait even longer!

13/12/2024: Food very good. Service excellent. Wine list limited. The acoustics are dreadful. This has been the case for years and nothing has been done about it , unfortunately. It puts us off dining there

06/12/2024: Good place to have a few pints with friends while listening to live music. The place on the ground floor is very noisy and is created for having a drink and listening to music. If you want to be a little more relaxed while dining you can always choose to go upstairs… The food is nothing out of this world but the waiters are attentive.

09/11/2024: There's a good selection of food, however I found my eclair to be a bit dry and the matcha latte was a bit lacking. That said, it is proportional for the price you pay and I agree that the staff are friendly.

12/12/2024: I recently visited Ananda with my friends, and I must say it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. I had fond memories of this restaurant from two years ago, but it seems the quality has plummeted drastically since then. The Raj Kachori, once a highlight, is now so poorly made that it’s practically inedible—impossible to take a proper bite. When I brought this up with the Indian manager, his response was shockingly dismissive and downright rude. Instead of addressing my concerns, he arrogantly insisted the chef was the same and denied any drop in quality. His behavior bordered on racist, which was both offensive and unacceptable in a restaurant that claims to uphold high standards. To make matters worse, the men’s washroom was in a deplorable state—dirty and utterly neglected, which is shocking for a restaurant that prides itself on being Michelin-starred. At this point, I wouldn’t return to Ananda—99% because of the rude, unprofessional manager and 1% because of the food quality. It’s a shame that such a reputable restaurant has fallen to this level. A serious quality check is desperately needed!

15/12/2024: Disappointing… I have been eating in Soup DL for years and this last experience was a sorrowful one sadly. Went for lunch with the homies, and upon inspecting the menu we were shocked at the prices, but alas we weren’t deterred and decided to get the lunch specials. First and foremost, the deal seemed reasonable, but as soon as the food came our minds were changed. As you can see in the picture, the chicken was a sleazy fried chicken breast whose coating was more out than in and sauced as if not caring. The “curry” sauce was as insipid as a blank canvas. The broth was fine and the rice was the best part. To make matters worse, at the time of paying a 10% service charge was automatically applied. Now, i understand the struggle of the service industry and completely empathize with the restaurant, but a restaurant that offers a casual dining experience cannot have a fine dining price point. So overall, disappointing but I believe in the restaurant and the food that I have had in the past, so I hope it returns to its former glory.

06/12/2024: Their ability to keep others from parking and blocking disabled parking bays leaves a lot to be desired Edit : For the record . Thank you for the reply . However to reiterate , disabled parking bays are for the benefit of disabled drivers like myself . They are not for the benefit of coach drivers dropping off or picking up from the hotel . Neither are they for the benefit of guests picking up or checking into the hotel . Apart from it being distasteful and rather unethical for an able bodied driver to park or block a disabled parking bay it’s also illegal

04/12/2024: Brilliant location. Right in the centre of the city. Had a meeting at the 7th floor. Good service with free WiFi, polite and very helpful staff thanks to Mel for outstanding customer service. The light refreshments was great and the reception was helpful.

22/12/2024: We had a great stay at the Clayton Hotel Charlemont. Great location,great hotel. The breakfast was fab and Carmel and her team were just so lovely and very helpful.We look forward to our return.

15/12/2024: First time at docker, and what a cool 😎 bar. Wonderful staff and really clean and well run. They have the wonderful artwork of KinMix, the street artist, as well as some great historical photos of the dockers. Really nice vibe, lovely crowd.

06/12/2024: Great spot in a very busy area, it gets very busy with the after work crowd. Lovely pint of Guinness here, staff look after you well.
