27/07/2026: We held our wedding lunch at The Old Spot in July 2026, having visited several times in the months leading up to the day. It quickly became one of our favourite restaurants in Dublin, so choosing it for such an important occasion felt like an easy decision. From the very beginning, the service was exceptional. Alisa, Hazel and Denise in the reservations team were incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. They happily accommodated all of our requests, from creating a bespoke menu and ensuring there were excellent vegan options to guiding us through the wine selection. We were also able to drop off all of our decorations the day before, and Alisa made sure everything was beautifully set up and ready for our arrival. On the day itself, Aiden was simply outstanding. Professional, warm and effortlessly organised, he made everything run seamlessly. What really stood out was that the entire team felt like part of the celebration rather than just serving it. Every member of staff was genuinely invested in making sure we and our guests had an unforgettable day, and their enthusiasm and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. We had 40 guests across four tables, and the upstairs private room was the perfect size, with plenty of space to comfortably accommodate larger groups. The natural light from the ceiling windows made the room bright and welcoming throughout the afternoon, the air conditioning kept everyone comfortable despite a warm July day, and the linen tablecloths were well worth adding for an extra touch of class. One of the biggest talking points among our guests was the food. Being able to order from the full menu without asking our guests to pre order in advance made the whole experience feel much more relaxed and personal. With five main course options and excellent vegetarian and vegan choices, everyone found something they loved. The wine list is extensive and very reasonably priced. If you’re looking for a venue for a wedding lunch, birthday celebration, corporate event or any special occasion, I genuinely couldn’t recommend The Old Spot highly enough. The food is outstanding, the venue is fantastic, but it’s the people who truly make it special. To everyone at The Old Spot, thank you for helping to make one of the most important days of our lives so memorable. We’ll be back many more times in the years ahead.

15/07/2026: We were looking for a place to dine and this place looked appealing. So on spec we went and tried it out, and we were so glad we did. The food, the lighting, the atmosphere, the service are all top notch. Good honest food, and everything is delivered with precision. The pizza tomato topping was delicious and a second visit is definitely in the cards. The chocolate brownie was also treat. Thanks to everyone. Would definitely recommend. Update 15-July-2026 : my second visit- pizza is even better than I recalled. Simply Delicious.

03/08/2026: We were really looking forward to trying this restaurant. Unfortunately, the welcome was a little underwhelming, although the waiter looking after our table was friendly, attentive and professional. The starters and the burger were both very good, but the tagliatelle ragù was a real disappointment. It felt like quantity over quality. The tagliatelle tasted like a very cheap brand, and the sauce was bland, lacking the rich, slow-cooked flavour you'd expect from a proper ragù. It certainly didn't live up to its description. Overall, there were some positives, but based on this visit, we left feeling a little disappointed.

12/07/2026: Great place to start for our first place in Dublin! Food and coffee was delicious when it actually arrived because I think the waiter must’ve forgotten my order and had to ask us for it again so it took a long time…. HOWEVER the staff were very apologetic and gave us a mini Victoria sponge to make up for it and that it did! 😊 the waiter also gave us some great local recommendations and was super friendly!

05/08/2026: It's a restaurant where you can order a bowl of noodles, choosing your own ingredients and sauces. They're very helpful and attentive, explaining everything. We don't speak English very well, but the manager was incredibly kind and spoke a little Spanish. Truly, the service was unbeatable. They even provided tap water upon arrival, without us even having to ask. Fantastic!

17/07/2026: Plz try the beef braised noodle. Their handmade noodle are perfect and beef is so tender. Me and my bf had a happy meal.

11/07/2026: We popped in for lunch in this cozy cafe. The food was not bad but quite expensive for what you get, especially the eggs benedict.

05/08/2026: We had their traditional Irish Lamb Stew and Scotch eggs, yum yum! A very friendly waitress suggested these after we asked her for some traditional Irish dishes, "what would your grandma cook for you?". We enjoyed Sheehan's a great deal more than Brazen Head. PS... We were about to leave when we saw their onion rings and ordered our own, wow! They selected the largest ones with crispy batter. Highly recommended for such a simple dish.
