28/01/2025: Very nice restaurant. We had a party of about 20 and had no issues at all. The bar and food areas all have tv to watch sporting events, and they have a room upstairs that's available to book for functions. The food was excellent and fairly prompt in delivery. Can't really fault anything, although the ceasar salad could be a little bigger 😉. There is plenty of parking out there back and a heater indoor/outdoor area. There is also a lift for wheelchair access to the upper level. The girls serving the food were brilliant, very friendly and helpful 👌.

19/02/2025: Great coffee place experience. Staff and food exxcellent. A bit noisy when I went. Sara was welcoming and quick to serve. Lemonade is class! Paper straws are useless. Definetly reccomend this place if you’re in Malahide area or near the castle. Will visit again 😊

29/03/2025: Fantastic views as you walk around the extensive grounds. There is a dog off leash area, a big playground and a nice coffee shop in the main house. The carpark is a good stroll from the cafe so they have a small carpark near the house for older less mobile people. You can walk short circuits as well as longer more hilly ones.

20/03/2025: Was here earlier.i was torn between two cakes my first choice was the Victoria sponge cake which was fresh soft very tasty.I couldn't leave the almond cake behind so I had a slice fresh and tasty also served warm home made is best 😋😄

26/02/2025: The food at Old Street is exceptional and warrants 5 stars from me. A lot of thought has gone into each element of every course, which sets your tastebuds alight. The service was also excellent and the waitress looked after our every need. I'm looking forward to our next visit.

22/02/2025: Overall good experience. The drinks and dishes we ordered were really good & tasty. Pleasant atmosphere. However, one thing was a bit bothersome—within the span of about five minutes, three or four different staff members approached us to ask if we were ready to order. We repeatedly had to let them know we needed a few more minutes, which felt a bit rushed. Additionally, what seemed to be the staff lead (a lady) came by to inform us that our reservation was for two hours and that they would need the table back by 2 pm. While we understand time limits for reservations, the way it was communicated felt a little pushy, especially as we were still deciding on our order. That said, the food and general service were good, and we did enjoy our visit—but a bit more breathing room to decide would have made the experience even better.

15/02/2025: Really enjoyed the meal in Townyard Bistro. I had eaten in a previous restaurant in this space and the first impression was that the new restaurant was a nice modern layout with a lot of natural light. The service was friendly and professional. I'm not a lover of stuffy formal restaurants. The staff took drink orders first and were good explaining the specials. My brother had the fish and chips and our partners had duck. I had the John Dory with mussel volute and seasonal greens. I thought it was excellent. The volute was subtle and had complimented the John Dory rather than overpowering it. The seasonal green were perfectly cooked. I ordered a side of chips which looked triple cooked and were very nice. The other 3 in our group all said their meals were really nice. It was the type of restaurant experience I want. Friendly service, very good food, a nice informal atmosphere and not ridiculously expensive. We had a very nice conversation with one of the waiting staff when we were paying the bill. I don't eat out very often but I'll certainly be looking to return. With 2 coffees, a bottle of beer, a glass of wine, a mug of hot chocolate and 4 main courses the bill was €136.
