16/03/2026: *avoid* Very disappointing experience. Service was extremely slow from the start. We weren’t even given menus and had to repeatedly ask for service throughout the meal. When we finished our starters the plates sat on the table for ages until we asked for them to be cleared, and our mains then arrived immediately afterwards on scalding hot plates that had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for god knows how long. After finishing our mains we again had to ask for the plates to be cleared and then faced an even longer wait for coffee. Throughout this, not one member of staff apologised despite us having to repeatedly ask for basic service. To make matters worse, when we simply asked for cutlery, the manager responded in a very cheeky and dismissive manner. I can understand being short staffed can be stressful, but the attitude we received was uncalled for. What concerned me most was when a member of staff passed a cup of scorching hot coffee directly over my baby’s head, only a few inches away, which felt extremely unsafe and quite alarming. I told her to not do that, yet she continued to pass another cup even closer over his head. This isn’t a lack of service skills, but a lack of common sense. I shouldn’t have to ask twice for her to stop and to then not even receive an apology from her. We brought this up with the manager when leaving. She did apologise but not for the interaction we had with her prior when simply asking for cutlery. Overall the service was very poor, the attitude from staff was disappointing, and the lack of awareness around safety was very worrying.

19/04/2026: Great place to eat dinner and buying something for house

19/04/2026: I'm late to this party. Went for the first time today to have a look round. Came out with lots of stuff I hadn't even imagined buying. Had dinner in the Swedish restaurant. The food was average but I suppose that's reflected in the price. It's good value for money.

03/01/2026: Beautiful, quirky pub with a unique character. Excellent Guinness, Estrella Galicia 0.0, and friendly staff... their Copper Throat cask strength whiskey is quite good too. This is a local for those who prefer an intimate, authentic setting over larger, more modern venues. A great spot if you want a pint in a place with soul, character, and a warm, fireplace-lit welcome. It does feel like a "living room" rather than a commercial bar, with music-heavy decor, vintage memorabilia, and an open fireplace. Music seems to be central to its identity, particularly during the Skerries Traditional Music Weekend, but also with a great eclectic soundtrack. Overall a well balanced cosy atmosphere with a traditional Irish pub feel and a modern, somewhat alternative edge. In addition to being a pub, it now houses a coffee shop and bakery right beside.

12/12/2025: Such a cosy pub and warm atmosphere. Perfect for a date, few deinks and caters for large groups too and opens late. Didn't eat here but say the food is pretty good if they do serve food.

21/04/2026: 2026 and we have come back again. Still, as ever, Gibney's doesn't disappoint. The food was very tasty and value for money. The staff are excellent, warm and friendly (everything you expect from the Irish people). It is a place we are always looking forward to visiting on our trips to Ireland. This time it was in an evening and quite busy, a little claustrophobic and noisy but what do you expect from a popular drinking establishment! Still worth it

02/11/2025: Just wanted to share my experience at Bare Acre Farm shop. Back at the start of the summer I was on my way to visit my mother in a nearby nursing home on a lovely Sunday morning. She likes a coffee so I stopped at Bare Acre Farm (1st time there as I didn't normally pass the farm on route) Dave served me and asked me what was i planning for the day and I told him I was on the way to visit my Mum in the Nursing home. As I was leaving he gave me a bunch of flowers to give to my Mum from him and his family. Dave never met me or my mum before...it was just such a lovely thing to do. I now call regularly to Bare Acre Farm... the coffee is great as is all the food and produce but people are what make it. Thanks you.

02/11/2025: We just left with our family and our granddaughter, and we absolutely loved the experience on this farm! The coffee and cakes were delicious. 21/03/2026: First time trying this cafe, as every time I have passed before could not gain entry due to how popular it is 😊 Went on a quieter weekday lunch time and had ham & cheese toastie with a white coffee. My friend had veggie burrito and an iced matcha latte. Food is hearty and coffee is good . Staff friendly indoor and some outdoor seating available also. Good veggie and vegan options.

24/03/2026: Honestly, I might’ve walked in with a high expectation on the food. I’ve had the chicken Milanese which was alight, the breading was a bit soggy, didn’t have any taste of lemon which in my opinion is essential in that dish and i don’t why they added some sweet yellow paste in there, which in my opinion just ruins the point of the chicken Milanese because frankly why would a salty and lemon ish dish would have something so sweet in it?.my gf had some sea food pasta she really enjoyed it. But apart from that Milanese great place. Love the aesthetic of the building👍

08/03/2026: Love the variety of shops however parking seems to have become a bit of a problem lately for some reason. The toilet facilities need a revamp urgently.
