My room was absolutely spotless clean and overall lovely.
It is a great location, 20 minute walk from the city, and close to everything else.
Overall great experience, would definitely recommend to anyone and would stay again :)

5 mins drive from kilkenny city centre ( well worth the drive ).

Could I just recommend ( to the chef ) adding a roast potato to the roast dishes?
Please don't change the stir-fry, it's đź’Ż % amazing.
At least 3 separate dining/drinking areas +outside personal boots.
I'll be leaving my hotel again next time to eat here .
Also background music was fab đź‘Ś .

The bouncers took one look at my ID and turned me away for not being 21 the place was an 18 plus venue and Instagram posts suggested this.
I suspect this was due to me carrying a if from the north…..its a shame like people like this are still common

15/12/2025: This place is awful. The food is terrible, service is worse and it's expensive. We ordered the burger and vol au vent and they were horrible. The salads are bland and disgusting. The server was rude, clueles and didn't even know what lager beer was, so we drank water. Please avoid this place. It was just horrible. I made sure to tell our tour guide never to recommend this place again. In fact, don't bother going to Kilkenny at all. It's not worth it.

29/12/2025: One of the best pubs in Kilkenny, without a doubt. I’m visiting the city and wanted to experience the best pubs around, and this place truly stands out. The atmosphere is great, but what really makes it special is the service. I was genuinely amazed by how smoothly and professionally everything is handled at the bar. A special shout-out to Adam, he is absolutely fantastic at what he doe, he truly elevates the entire experience. People like him are what make a place world-class. Cheers to Adam and the wonderful way he serves customers. Kudos to him! Attaching some of his skills. Love to visit this place again, just because of the service.
23/12/2025: Really good food and drinks in a cool atmosphere. Took a long time to get service or have anyone take our orders but otherwise very good!

The only real let down is the shower curtain. The thing was like a jellyfish, it kept coming in on me & clinging to me.
Shower screen would be đź’Ż % better.

05/12/2025: I rarely leave reviews, and now I'll be honest this did happen a while ago. But the experience was so bad it's actually stuck with me, I think about it a lot. I believe it actually changed the course of my life, if I didnt go to rafters that morning for the fry with my friends id be a different man... a better man. But the service was so bad it tainted me.
I hear the waitress' shrill voice everytime I close my eyes. "A cappuccino?" she says to my friend quizzicaly, "but id have to make that... just for you" she screeches. Followed by a torrent of obscenities and abuse. I thought the experience was over but then the slop arrived.
Lads honestly I cant even put into words how bad the entire experience was, from the start the place was dead empty and she was still trying to run us out the door, saying the guests would be awake soon and there'd be no room for us, 40 minutes later still waiting for the grub and not a sign of a guest... it actually had me thinking we weren't real for a bit, that we were wandering spirits only she could interact with. But then the amount of abuse she muttered at us anchored me back to the mortal realm.
The overall experience was 0 stars, but the strangeness/funniness of every interaction in there and the fact we get such a laugh talking about it gives it 5 stars on the banter scale
