28/09/2026: Recently had a family birthday here and from initial booking to having a lovely evening with good food good service and lovely atmosphere I can only but highly recommend visiting this lovely restaurant

27/09/2026: Avoid Really disappointing experience. We found the restaurant very overpriced for what we received. €6 for a bottle of water is excessive, and the main courses were €19 without a side, with extra charges for sides on top. The starter was also very basic for the price. Overall, we just didn’t feel the food or portions matched the prices, and unfortunately we left feeling it wasn’t good value for money. There are definitely better options around Athlone for the price.

25/08/2026: Fabulous place. No complaints at all. Staff were so friendly and even though they were extremely busy they made sure everything was good for us. The picture doesn't not do the meal justice. The bigger was huge 😘

22/08/2026: Had a 21st party nearby and reached out to pepes about doing food for 60 plus people , we got pizzas and chicken boxes and everyone was so happy with the food !! the pizzas were amazing nicest i’ve ever tasted , the chicken Goujons were divine . Everyone was fed and delighted 10 /10 would recommend anyone in the nenagh area or passing by to try pepes ☺️☺️

24/08/2026: Excellent Italian restaurant in Dublin! Perfect location to eat before or after the Kilmainham Goal Tour. We ordered four pasta dishes – they were delicious! No long wait times!

25/10/2026: First time here since restaurant moved to Clogherhead. As usual Mr owner/chef as rude as ever! Arrived at 7.08 for our table booked for 7.15 and he made a big deal about us being early, great welcome. Got Brusetta for starter. Was not great. Not much flavour off it and the bread it was served on was bland. Got Clogherhead prawn pasta for main course. Nice flavour but the prawns were tiny. It was like each prawn was cut in 3! Fast forward to getting ready to leave our table after paying and leaving a tip, my mom had popped to the toilet and the owner/chef came over to advise us they close at 10pm on a Sunday. It was 10.12, it was quite obvious we were ready to leave. There was another table celebrating a 50th and they left just as my mom was going to the toilet and nothing said to them! I won't be handing over my hard earned money again to this establishment as he made it clear we were not welcome! I would have brought all of the above to owner/chefs attention but he us renounded for rudness so what was the point. I had just hoped he might have mellowed with time, clearly not.

15/07/2026: Lovely food, nice atmosphere, the staff are friendly but a bit forgetful, had to ask the chap that served us twice for my drink then twice for a jug of water for the table. It is what it is though.

06/06/2026: Food was nice but the portion sizes for the price are just so bad. 55 euro for a 12 inch pizza and a pasta dish with a portion of chips that I could count how many in this tiny bowl with my fingers. It’s gone like most restaurants in Waterford now, overpriced with tiny portions. Very small deserts that you can see when you walk in for 9 euros a pop, no thanks

07/08/2026: Very nice eating experience. The food was top class and the service very efficient and friendly. Very accommodating to all dietary requirements. Really highly recommend this restaurant.

02/08/2026: Absolutely divine. Impeccable service, a vibrant Italian atmosphere, succulent and generous dishes. A true delight. Italian cuisine just like home cooking. A very pleasant surprise. Bravo!

19/05/2026: Never again. What a rude male waiter/owner we had. Not only were we ignored the whole time, but he really treated us like dirt. I have never experienced anything like this. We will NEVER come here again.

10/08/2025: My partner and I left vomiting all night and extreme stomach sickness after eating here, no manager to speak to, to help deal with this situation, was left speaking to the assistant manager who has no clue what she is doing and accused me of lying just to get my money back, told me to go get proof that im sick from the doctor, said her name was Monica just talked over me the whole time on the phone and acuused me of lying and was shouting at me the whole phonecall, absolutely horrible person, has no place in a customer service job, please dont eat in this dump unless you want to be sick and abused

23/09/2026: Really enjoyed a lovely evening here with a couple of friends. The staff were friendly and always ready to help. The food was delicious and i felt very fairly priced, good portion sizes and plenty of choice on the menu for everyone. I will definitely be back. Parking wise,after 4 its free and the restaurant is about 150 meters from the Arthur Guinness car park.

04/10/2026: Dreadful food. Battered cod had hardly any fish in it was mostly batter. Grilled chicken kebab was mostly lettuce with very little chicken. Burger was ok but nearly cold. I wont be back !!

16/10/2026: I ordered from clonsilla and carpenterstown for years and always had a great experience. Its been about 2 years since I've had romayos. It's turned into a tasteless fast food place. Nearly no sauce on the big beef, tasteless garlic sauce chips, taco chips tasted like cheap post nightclub crap. We got cheesy Bites which we're inedible and the dirty bird goujons had so much crappy herbs on it we had to wash them before even eating them. This place has gone so downhill it's so disappointing. Will never order again from here.
