15/09/2026: Sophie's is an amazing place, great atmosphere and great service. The only criticism is that the French Toast is way too simple to be €17, I'd recommend adding some cream or whipped cream to make it worth it the price. Mine came with 2 small Toast, 2 sliced strawberries and syrup. Apart of that, everything else is great!!

14/09/2026: A lovely birthday evening for drinks at Sophie’s. A big thank you to Mario for his hospitality and looking after us on my partner’s birthday! We had already ate, therefore just drinks but would definitely return for a meal! Amazing atmosphere as well.

01/08/2026: We were looking forward to dinner at Siroccos having booked a table downstairs in the main restaurant for 6:00 PM. Instead, we arrived to find our table had been given to someone else, and we were placed upstairs. The waiter was unaccommodating when we mentioned our booking with Paula the owner, offering no real explanation. While the main restaurant looked better, the upstairs area is dark, dingy, and features failing floor boards that need urgent renovation. We won't be back . Food is good but they need to up there game in decor....

21/07/2026: July 2026 Poor service, great food. Three of us were passing through Tullamore on 20th July, having driven for much of the day and with two hours of driving to go. We dropped in. Two tables for two were put together for us next to the counter. Apparently it wasn't possible to put two tables for two together in a quieter part of the restaurant because those tables were needed for couples. A few minutes later I noticed a table for four being cleared by the window (a much quieter spot) and asked if we could move. I was told it was needed in 30 minutes for a booking. 20 minutes later two people were seated at that table. When I asked for the bill I was told it would be brought to the table. It wasn't. When I went to the counter to pay I wasn't given a bill but just told the cost. Neither was I given a receipt. I could have asked for both but that shouldn't be necessary. I'm still wondering why I left a tip. It must've been tiredness from all that driving. I hope the kitchen staff got it. Read less

06/09/2026: Fine dining, great staff lovely atmosphere.

06/08/2026: We tried Battoni’s on Friday evening. The food was excellent, but overall it wasn’t for us. The atmosphere felt flat, the way staff were spoken to was uncomfortable to watch, and the place could do with a good tidy. Reading some of the glowing reviews from local high-flyers, you would have to wonder whether they do not travel very often, have unusually modest expectations, or were exceptionally well looked after with the dinner and red wine. Either way, our experience did not match the hype.

21/08/2026: The food was brilliant and such a variety on the menu. I Would eat their again 100%

06/08/2026: Anniversary celebration which had beenbooked in advance, as there was 16 of us including children. We had the upstairs private room. One waitress in attendance constantly, taking drinks orders and then food orders. There was a delay in getting the meals, which with number of us was understandable but the younger children were restless as they were hungry. Food was delicious as usual and there was a wide choice. Overall a very good night.

03/08/2026: Food was delicious. I hadn't eaten such a delicious soup in a long time. My husband ordered the Calzone pizza twice because he enjoyed it so much. We will definitely be coming back! Thanks a lot ...

30/07/2026: After both having a pretty awful day, we decided to call into this restaurant on a Thursday evening with our two kids (one toddler and one baby) From the moment we walked in, the service was absolutely perfect. The staff were welcoming and accommodating with the kids, which made the whole experience stress-free. The food was exceptional. I had the Chicken Arrabbiata, and as someone who orders it whenever I visit an Italian restaurant, I can honestly say it was the nicest I've ever had. It was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. We walked in feeling exhausted and fed up, and we left happy, full, and smiling. Sometimes a great meal and fantastic service can completely turn your day around, and that's exactly what happened here. Thank you – we'll definitely be back!

22/08/2026: Lovely staff and great food selection which was served fast.

20/08/2026: I observed maggie the manager clearly and publicly bullying the staff which was unreal to watch and especially during such a busy part of their shifts where it was hectic. Public humiliation when working at full speed was ridiculous and as someone who has worked in hospitality that was really difficult to watch. Great food, great service, terrible management!

30/08/2026: What a hidden gem! This tiny Italian restaurant transports you straight to Italy through its incredible flavours and atmosphere - and Claudio makes sure you feel that way from the moment you step in. Every dish is beautifully presented and full of flavour, but the tiramisù... absolutely out of this world. It feels like an Italian nonna prepared it just for you right then and there. A 10/10 experience! Just a heads-up: they don’t sell alcohol, but they are BYOB, so feel free to bring what you'd like to drink. Walk-ins are accepted but reservations are recommended.

10/06/2026: Lovely warm and cosy atmosphere and the food was incredible. My partner and I got a sirloin each which was cooked perfectly and then shared a delicious light cheesecake. Absolutely perfect, will definitely be back.

22/08/2026: Collected 3 pizzas for a park dinner with my kids this evening, and none of them were sliced. Trying to eat unsliced pizza outdoors with children is a disaster. Tried calling to report it, but couldn't get through to anyone."

19/08/2026: Very good pizza; a carafe of water was served with the meal (unfortunately, as everywhere else we've had in Ireland, it was chlorinated). Very friendly service and a very cozy atmosphere.

19/05/2026: Never again. What a rude male waiter/owner we had. Not only were we ignored the whole time, but he really treated us like dirt. I have never experienced anything like this. We will NEVER come here again.
