26/09/2025: Fantastic true Italian cuisine! The quality is good enough for a formal restaurant setting with cloth tablecloths. The pasta was true el dente, the sauces homemade, the flavors exquisite. Purchased a pizza for take away also. I fully recommend this restaurant.

27/08/2025: Absolutely fantastic, authentic Italian food. Plenty of vegetarian options e.g. pizza, pasta, suppli (rice balls with cheese). The pizza dough is perfect and fresh and plenty of mozzarella on top. I had spaghetti puttanesca without anchovies and it was delicious! Honestly, do not waste your money going to chain "Italian" restaurants, go here if you're in the area. They provide full waiter service. There's plenty of free parking outside.

05/10/2025: Still the best pizza there is and I've had pizza all over the world. However my favourite is the Tortellini Ala Panna which is just like crack for me. Insanely good food and prices. My only problem is i need to go more to sample more of the menu because i keep getting the same thing that i love so much. I have been told the steak is amazing, up there with the best of them. One thing i would say is get comfortable. This is not fast food, relax and enjoy the place.

12/01/2026: VERY DISAPPOINTING dinner at Sophie’s Rooftop in Dublin. I ordered chicken parmigiana with pasta. The pasta was just okay, nothing special, honestly something we could easily make at home. The chicken parmigiana was the biggest letdown: the chicken was dry, not juicy at all, and completely lacking in flavor. For a restaurant at this level and price point, the food was well below expectations. Overall, the dinner did not live up to what we expected, and I WOULD NOT RETURN based on the FOOD QUALITY.

08/01/2026: I was there a few weeks ago, the Brazilian waitress was very kind, but unfortunately I don't remember her name. The food was impeccable and the drinks, even though overpriced, were also great

05/01/2026: Absolutely amazing food, atmosphere, staff and restaurant. I can’t thank the staff enough for how delicious and tasty the food was . Must try for anyone who has not tried this beautiful gem yet . Defo will be back again soon. Special mention and thanks to Patricia and all that helped with the my engagement plans too.

12/12/2025: The owner insulted a man's religion right infront me and I lost my appetite. I didn't even taste the food because the owner was rude to the other man

16/01/2026: I had the best espresso in Dublin. The place is also beautiful and feels like being in Italy. The staff is excellent and above all speaks Italian.

04/09/2025: Stop in after walking the Dingle Way and it was a very nice place. The owner greeted me and was really nice and helpful. The room had everything you needed. There was a bathroom in the room, the WiFi was fast, and the room and entire hotel was very clean. Felt very welcomed and would stay again.

09/08/2025: Beautiful bnb in the town that gave us one of the greatest arctic explorers the world has ever seen, Tom Crean (awesome hiking audiobook btw). Great accommodation. The full Irish was to die for. Brian even went the extra mile to deliver an item I had left behind to the next bnb in our Dingle Way adventure. Thanks Brian, I’ll be back.

08/12/2025: The first place (in a loonnngggg time, if ever before) that the person who met us at the door (& even helped clear off the table we got to sit at) - took our order brought us our food, brought us our bill AND took payment for a great Dinner..., 'twould be great if more places would be THIS attentive to their customers..., it just felt more homely/personal. Also, a big Thank You to everyones "Uncle" Monto, the proprietor.

20/10/2025: We felt very comfortable there, and the food was very good and plentiful. We highly recommend it.

05/11/2025: This was the only restaurant we could get into late at night without a reservation in Dingle the night we were there. I ordered an antipasta dish as an appetizer which was very minimal and not worth the money (I could do better with grocery store items with a better display). For my main course, I ordered the meat & cheese tortellini, which was edible but nothing fancy or worth the 17.50 euro spent. There's much better restaurants to explore in the area.

21/12/2025: Food is absolutely lovely, it's cheap too. Service is great, sometimes you have to wait a bit but that's fine. Atmosphere, I love it, music blaring, very friendly staff too.

26/10/2025: I would consider myself a regular customer of the claddagh restaurant and what makes me a "regular customer " is simple. Quality. Quality food, quality service. I have sampled virtually every choice on the menu over the past few years and have never left disappointed. As they say in sporting circles, " form is temporary, class is permanent ". BTW, im not connected with management, staff, in any way other than a relationship built on wonderful dining experiences. My wife and I love the place and will continue to tell anyone with ears about the claddagh restaurant.

16/10/2025: Dropped into the Claddagh after seeing a few “decent” reviews. We arrived just after opening, yet three dishes on the menu were already unavailable — not a great start. “The best fish & chips in Blarney”… Bold claim. I had to see for myself. The verdict? This title could only be accurate under two circumstances: 1. The Claddagh is the only place serving fish in Blarney. 2. The claim is quietly revised to “best fish goujon” — because what arrived was a tiny portion that under the right lighting, could have been mistaken for a length of dental floss. To make matters worse, the peas listed on the menu were missing entirely. I’d normally raise this with staff, but by the time I noticed, the meagre 2–3 bites of fish had already vanished. At least the little that was served seemed fresh and was decently cooked. Meanwhile, the Asian/Chinese options looked suspiciously like they’d wandered in from the Chinese restaurant next door. My girlfriend’s chilli chicken was significantly better than my “fish & chips” and actually resembled a meal. In short: don’t come here for the fish. If you do venture in, stick to the Asian dishes. Otherwise, save yourself the disappointment.

13/01/2026: This is a fabulous restaurant located adjacent to the East Pier in Dun Laoghaire. The decor is beautiful and the restaurant boasts exceptionally warm staff and in my ten plus visits to this restaurant I’ve never had a bad meal! The meatball starter is a myriad of flavours and I can attest to both the pasta and pizza dishes as sumptuous! Also the pricing is very fair in comparison to other South Dublin restaurants! Cannot wait to return!!

The food is always fresh, delicious, The atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, making every visit enjoyable. The owner is genuinely kind and attentive — someone who truly cares about the customers and the quality of the restaurant. You can feel the passion behind the service.
