29/06/2025: This is a very well presented large restaurant, nice decor and a very lovely setting right on the grand canal and their outdoor seating area is lovely on a bright day. I was here on Saturday and the restaurant was very quiet - hardly four tables occupied and that is very surprising for Dublin. I had the cauliflower soup to start - it was flavoured well and tasted good but was just coloured broth instead of soup - watery. For mains I had the chicken and what arrived was half a piece of chicken that was tough accompanied by a bit of courgette and some mash and jus. The jus was flavourful and mash was really smooth and tasty - but the dish was very disappointing as a whole. My friend had speck and truffle pizza and that was very flavourful and perfectly baked. Overall I might try them for breakfast sometime as the setting is lovely - but the food is nothing to rush back for and the prices are ridiculously high for what you get.

27/06/2025: Wouldn’t have guessed how nice this place was walking up to it - it’s a gorgeous spot overlooking the river - food was excellent - everyone in my group loved what they ordered & some tend to be hard to please! Will be back very soon!

18/05/2025: Tuvimos una experiencia fantástica! La pizza estaba absolutamente deliciosa, perfectamente cocinada con un gran sabor. Nuestro servidor, Cathal, era amable, atento, y nos hizo sentir muy bienvenidos. Terminamos con el tiramisú, que fue honestamente uno de los mejores que hemos tenido. Muy recomendable!

12/07/2025: Food was very good. I had the Katsu Chicken and my friend had the guniesa beef stew. Both of us were impressed by the taste. My Katsu was close to the best I've ever had even the ones made by Japanese people. I tried the beef stew and it was so rich that I almost couldn't handle it. It's well made. If you like that sort of thing it's a must try. Service was excellent. Even though it was busy both bartenders kept asking if we were settled and took our orders as well as helping us know where to sit. This place will be on my list for a lifetime.

30/06/2025: What a lovely lunch spot! Enjoyed every bite of our meals and even dessert. Everything was so fresh and the restaurant had the perfect view of the city. Grazie mille!

25/10/2024: Excellent meal & excellent service. I ordered a rare steak & wow I’m a steak lover but this was exceptional. Salad, baby potatoes, sautéed onions along with a glass of Merlot. I don’t often eat alone but was made to feel very welcome & comfortable. Unable to finish meal but have lunch sorted for tomorrow! Top class, thank you to the chef Gregory and waiting staff. A special thanks to Silvane, she has the X factor!

21/10/2024: This was an unbelievably very good restaurant. Heading into winter on the West Coast of Ireland, the food, the service, and the atmosphere including the playlist was simply sublime. I’m not being paid to write this review, but it was probably one of the best meals I have eaten out in a very long time. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavour; from the steak to the asparagus to the potatoes, bread and peppercorn sauce I don’t think I have tasted better.

10/06/2025: Ordered burger n chips n a kebab as a treat for myself n the kids. Was told 15/20 mins to collect. Arrived 30 mins later and meal still hadn't been started. Got home and burger and kebab meat was burnt (overdone), chewy and chips were hard, cleary undercooked. Was as if they quickly torches the meal as they forgot about my order. I did get a free pasta but a big disappointment having chosen this place under a tight schedule with kids etc.

27/05/2025: Ordered here through Deliveroo and was really unimpressed. I had the chicken in pepper sauce, which consisted of a small chicken breast swimming in pepper sauce and two measly scoops of mash. No side of veg, nothing. For €13 a portion it's scandalous, you'd get a whole carvery dinner for nearly the same money. The only good thing was that the food arrived quickly, but I'd never order from here again.

16/06/2025: Really good pizza. Prices are average for Ireland. In a previous negative review, I read that a customer complained because they refused to add chicken to the pasta. That’s actually a positive point, well done! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the waitress was very kind, and the owner of the place was lovely as well.

24/05/2025: Went there tonight, the atmosphere was dead. Ordered bruchetta for Starters. Was chopped cherry tomatoes on cold burned toast. The ravioli for mains was the strangest thing I've ever seen. A pinky/grey sauce. Was average. My wife ordered a pasta and mushroom dish and asked for chicken to be added which they refused to do. She made pasta at home on Monday that would match the quality. With3 pints and 2 glasses of wine for drinks and average food it was 110 euro. The waitresses were lovely so I did leave a tip. I don't think we'll go back.

22/05/2025: Best Chicken Alfredo we'd ever had, HUGE portion of chicken. The server was kind, sweet and attentive. You won't be disappointed. Good grub, great prices, nice atmosphere and AMAZING people!

21/06/2025: Food was OK but staff works as a robots and not pleasant. No smile, no talk. Even was asked by business owner to be quite at our birthday party. Waiting for starter 1h45min and alway had to ask to be approached. Not my choice. Not recommended for parties .

10/06/2025: What a delightful surprise. We had a big family dinner here tonight and let me tell you nobody left hungry or unsatisfied. Now I love Italian food. I'm quite picky about it. I had the Matriciana pasta course and it was exceptional. The chef had found some wonderful chilli's in the market that morning and included them in the dish. It was fresh hot sweet and a nice chilli heat. Really impressive. I also had the chicken parmesan with pasta in tomato sauce. Hearty and tasty. David the owner is a hoot. Thanks again.

05/05/2025: I recently dined at an La Locandina restaurant and had the pleasure of trying their carbonara, and it was absolutely delicious! The pasta was perfectly cooked, with a rich, creamy sauce that had just the right amount of flavor. The bacon was good. The dish was a perfect balance of creamy and savory, making it one of the best carbonaras I've ever had.
