The best restaurants in Kerry

26/03/2025: Me and a friend walked into lighthouse full of enthusiasm to try it for the 1st time, we walked in the door and was greeted by a man with a moustache, we asked him did he serve milkshakes and told us did we see it on the menu in a displeasing way. We asked to order a pizza, this was at 1:45am when they close at 4am, and he told us he couldn't serve it as they were closing which was quite surprising to us as they said online they closed at 4am, we ordered 2 wraps one chicken and one doner (both extra spicy)and 2 fantas, the cans were over 4 months expired and as we were waiting for our food we heard a microwave turn on, this was seen by both of us as we were standing at the counter. We then left and took a bite found out how disgusting it was and threw it in the bin. Lighthouses represents a point of hope, but in tralee it represents melancholy, if you ever wanted to know what depression tastes like i would recommend you go to lighthouse, if not i would keep away from the door.

11/11/2024: Ordered a pizza 2 hours before Close and they cancelled my order after I had been waiting an hour.

17/08/2025: We ordered three different dishes, chicken and beef. Everything was ready in less than 5 minutes. It was probably days old. Both my partner and I spent the next day vomiting and other things. Basically, we got some serious food poisoning. Plus, the price was really high. 02/06/2025: Not great. 35 min wait for spring rolls and a main. It unfortunately wasn’t worth the wait. The lady behind the counter was nothing but lovely. And if the food was better I would forgive the wait as everyone can be back logged with orders. But the spring rolls don’t come with a sauce, crispy chicken was chewy chicken (and hard to get through) and the rice was over cooked.

17/08/2024: ‘Best 2 dinners, I’ve ever eaten’ says the father and that’s saying something. Went for the fish platter - unbelievable. Service was spot on, including my 7 year nephew who was clearly auditioning for a spot on the team. Next time we’re in Sneem, I’ll be there. Unmissable.

07/07/2024: The staff we friendly and the dining room was cozy. Was really looking forward to their fish and chips but was underwhelmed. More like chips with a wee piece of fish. The batter was lovely though but chips a bit soggy.

22/07/2025: Very delicious and lovely looking seafood chowder and fish with chorizo.
