Ballygarry House Brasserie
02/01/2025: We arrived as a group of 5 people for lunch today.
We were swiftly seated by a manager, we ordered drinks and food , the starters arrived promptly and we waited almost 30min for our main courses, 4 of the 5 dishes were salads, all tasted fine.
The biggest gripe was we were positioned between families with babies, how on earth could you enjoy a meal surrounded by screaming children and parents oblivious to their behaviour.
It ruined our afternoon. We ordered desert and coffee's which took another 30 mins.
Service was always very prompt and efficient here .
Not sure that I would bother coming back.
30/11/2024: Lunch sounded simple and standard based on the menu, but the food was very fresh and super delicious. A memorably good meal! The calamari was crispy and great and the chicken wrap was elevated. Service was charming despite it being a very busy lunch rush. Don’t miss this place!

27/09/2024: Estábamos en un viaje en coche por Irlanda con amigos y nos alojamos por dos noches en el Lake Hotel. Elegimos comer en Herbert's ya que estaba cerca del hotel y tenÃa buenas crÃticas. El servicio fue muy atento y la provisión de pequeños extras como un aperitivo fueron un buen toque. La comida estaba muy bien presentada y bastante sabrosa, aunque las porciones en particular los entrantes eran pequeños. En general una buena cena, pero era un poco caro.
15/08/2024: Nous avons séjourné deux nuits dans cet établissement magique.
Cadre, accueil, prestations, restaurant, effet waouh garanti si vous aimez le charme Irish délicieusement désuet mais tellement classe.
Si vous n’aimiez pas vous aimerez… on est transporté dans un autre temps mais avec tout le confort moderne.
Réellement félicitations à toute l’équipe.
J’oubliais le restaurant.
Un peu cher mais tellement bon et fin.
Vraiment zéro défaut.

17/08/2024: ‘Best 2 dinners, I’ve ever eaten’ says the father and that’s saying something.
Went for the fish platter - unbelievable. Service was spot on, including my 7 year nephew who was clearly auditioning for a spot on the team. Next time we’re in Sneem, I’ll be there. Unmissable.
07/07/2024: The staff we friendly and the dining room was cozy. Was really looking forward to their fish and chips but was underwhelmed. More like chips with a wee piece of fish. The batter was lovely though but chips a bit soggy.
