The best restaurants in Kerry

01/08/2024: Wouldn’t bother trying again. Placed order online wasn’t accepted so I called to ask and she said order site/app wasn’t on but took down my order, would check and would call me back. Sounded busy so thought no problem I waited a half hour because I didn’t want to be a pain. Never called and when I rang again she just said system is down so nothing they could do and the money was only on hold on my account. I could order over the phone if I wanted. Couldn’t be bothered to be charged and second time if I couldn’t get a call back.

05/07/2024: Waited an hour and 10 mins for my food. Pizza was barely warm, over cooked and the chips were dried out and very hard. Not the best service and I've been in to eat and had takeaway several times. Will have to rethink next time at the cost today.

08/09/2024: Fantastic experience. My 2 year old son has an epipen for a peanut allergy. The lady was so helpful and conscientious. She recommended the vanilla ice cream but double checked all the allergens. Opened a fresh batch and used clean utensils. Often my son misses out on treats when his 2 sisters are enjoying them as we are unsure about staff/hygiene/contaminates but we were reassured with their knowledge. Gorgeous icecream too 😋

26/08/2024: Delicious homemade ice-cream, my daughter loves the freshly made doughnuts. All the girls are so friendly and polite. The shop always looks so clean and tidy also.

08/08/2023: This review does not concern the cuisine because we were not given the opportunity to taste it or set foot in this establishment. This morning (9:30-9:45) we wanted to have breakfast here. Google indicated it as open, but given some comments, I wanted to check while my husband waited for me further away. Outside, a small sign announces that there is indeed a tea room that can be seen through the windows, and the only door to access it is open. I returned, looking for any sign and I saw a little further on a lady who was busy in the tea room through the door which was also open. I didn't have time to say a word as she said something (which I didn't understand), shouted at me to get out ("OMG! Get out! Get out! Get out!" I understood that) while running after me (that finally convinced me). I left without asking for my rest. I don't like to give negative reviews, but it was an experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone (especially for those who don't speak English very well like me) so I'm taking the liberty of sharing it. Maybe this lady doesn't work in this establishment but in any case it is unacceptable to let customers be received in this way.

17/07/2024: I love John Doughs! They have super yummy food and drinks! I love the iced caramel frappes I’m obsessed 💗 and the DOUGHNUTSSSSSSS are to DIE FOR 😍😍😍 The staff are super nice too!

08/07/2024: Stopped off today with my 2 boys, who each got a pepperoni pizza slice, they said it was the best pizza ever! The dough was so fresh, tasty and excellent value. Lovely to be able to get pizza slices in Tralee. Will definitely be greeting again.. Thanks.

03/10/2024: Food and service excellent, spoilt a little by a rather expensive ice cream and a very poor quality coffee. Needed to use WIFI but disappointed to hear that WIFI service is a no no in Ballygarry, to which I expressed my surprise!!

16/08/2024: We nearly needed to get a taxi from the only place we could find to park, there are a huge amount of parking spaces here but they were all full, even where we parked wasn't a real park. It was worth the walk, the food was great and cheaper than the place looks, the service was initially slow but once we had attention the service was great. We will be back

26/05/2024: Fantastic pizza and the attached Chipper is a hidden gem with some of the best burgers or fish & chips I've had in my life. Can't recommend enough for quick quality takeaway
