06/09/2025: Ordered the food took my money and never got it and still have not gotten a refund

05/08/2025: Ordered chicken and lamb sheek kebab in June 2025. Lamb sheek was like apsara rubber. Chicken pieces were like seashore pebbles. Naan bread was like an elastic sheet. Total waste of money and health. Won’t go again

09/04/2025: Delicious. Ate every bite. Such a lovely spot and staff so friendly and helpful..great range of artisanal food and drinks to takeaway. Delicious chocolate

20/03/2025: Have visited here 3 times over the past 6 months. Delicious eat-in curry each time. Now my go-to place when I hit Castleisland. Next time will post pic.

20/07/2025: What an absolute disgrace! Please be warned, they only serve you half shots in your drinks. Keep an eye on the bartenders when they are pouring your drinks. Rude bouncers. Charging €10 for entry and won’t even let you finish your drink when they are closing. I live outside of Ireland now and used to frequent JDs ALOT and it breaks my heart the absolute state of the place. It’s the middle of July and it used to be the place to be. Greed ruins everything and that just sums up JDs!

19/07/2025: The bouncer is a very unkind man. He actually ruined my night & I went home early. I have alopecia & I am very self conscious about my hair. Last night was showery & I was wearing an expensive Columbia hat. The bouncer very condescendingly made me take it off. I was working at the races all week & was supposed to meet some of my colleagues for the Latin night in Scruffys. What right does this bully have to tell me if I can wear headwear or not. Honestly how dare him. I might add we were at a stag party here before & the same man refused us entry because the stag was wearing a dress. Some of the group suggested we take legal action for that incident. It’s 2025 lads & ye are in one of the most popular tourist destinations in Ireland sort it out immediately. That man owes me an apology & if he doesn’t change his attitude he should change his job.

25/08/2024: Sitio genial, personal muy amable desayuno riquísimo abre temprano tiene mucho sitio y piso superior tiene tronas para bebés, os recomiendo el blueberry muffins, nada pesado y riquísimo

01/06/2025: Fab pizzas. Bit old fashioned interior but when the food is good , who cares. Staff very friendly and quick service . Everything was nice and clean

02/04/2025: Have always loved Pizza time , however the past two occasions I have ordered food for collection, it was very poor. Carbonara was horrific as it smelled like the cheese was definitely gone off. A rip off with the small containers they are now using for their garlic mayonnaise and the price they are charging. This used to be our favourite place for takeaway but definitely won't be going back anytime soon.

09/11/2025: Although we had previously stayed in the hotel, on this more recent trip we just popped into the Monk’s Lounge for lunch and it was really excellent. Spectacular soup and salads. Highly recommended.
