Jam Cafe
13/08/2024: Great spot for family outing. Took my three kids there for breakie and the waitress was lovely. Quick on the food being served. Friendly smiles from staff. Lovely calm atmosphere. Kids had pancakes and the kids portion was huge. Great value.

Very disappointing visit.I ordered soup and brown bread.....the soup was very tastey but I got 2 slices of brown toast.I told the young waiter that I ordered brown bread but he didn't seem to want to know!My pal arrived and ordered soup with white bread and got 2 slices of white toast.Its a 1st for me... soup and toast...maybe a good way to get rid of stale bread.10 other customers there...what a shame used to be packed.Wont be going back again.No manager around to complain to although I did feel she was keeping out of sight.

14/02/2025: Ooo la la! Very pleased with every dish!
Very thought, well prepared and presented dishes! Plus you get appetisers, variety of homemade breads and 3 types of butter, and complimentary miniature treats without extra cost. And you have option with wine pairing which is brilliant.
Enjoyed every bite, i think they should aim at claiming a Micheline star :)

17/10/2024: The food was delicious with outstanding service. Lucian couldn’t do enough for you, he really went the extra mile. It was a very enjoyable fine dining experience. Thanks so much

03/02/2024: Place is decent enough but the owner is an evil little smurf. I heard this place is closing, if that guy opens restaurant again, all stuff waiters and chefs please be careful.. ☺️

New Mayflower Chinese restaurant & takeaway

18/05/2025: Spice bag was dire, worst Chinese I've ever had. Chicken was so chewy it was barely edible, there was no veg or garnish of any sort, and the curry sauce was not good, as if it had been watered down and then had thickener added, it was generic but blander and paler than the usual chinese curry sauce you'd get. I threw out most of it and I wasn't the only one in our group to do so. Avoid.
29/11/2024: Complete dirt, even after a few pints I threw it in the bin. Shredded salt and chilli chicken was like beef jerky , beef curry crap, avoid.

05/02/2025: Ordered for delivery, missing items and person on phone very rude refusing to replace items. When asked for a refund he said ok and hung up in my face. Wouldn't answer me after so had to get my partner to ring from my phone.
