The best restaurants in Kildare

13/10/2026: Service at the bar was exceptional and the sushi was some of the best I’ve ever eaten. They were kind enough to accommodate us even when they were fully booked and we didn’t have a reservation. 10/10

08/10/2026: Unexpectedly this is a very good Japanese resteurant . After visiting Japan I wasn't expecting to eat a food which taste similar to Japanese here in Naas. Defo worth to visit. Place is getting busy after 7pm so reservation is highly recommended. One comment only - rice in sushi is too sweet.

05/10/2026: Great food and service. The cafe is nice too. I thought the prices are a bit too much. I had the same for slightly cheaper in salthill in Galway! Kilcock is no salthill that’s for sure. Can’t fault the food and portions though.

04/06/2026: I can't say enough about our experience at Silken Thomas. The owners are clearly treating their staff well, because it shows in how the staff treat the clients. Everyone from Reception, to the Bar, to the Restaurant (for both dinner and breakfast), to the person who showed us to our room, had a smile on their face and looked happy to be there. We felt well taken care of and everything we ate was delicious. We both loved the location and the recent redo, especially the shower. Special shout out to the lovely room cleaners and management who went the extra-mile to not only reach out to me to let me know I'd left a t-shirt behind on the bed, but also posted it to me in Dublin. My offer to reimburse them for the postage fell on deaf ears. The t-shirt has an illustration of a dearly departed pet on it and means an enormous amount to me, so I'll never forget Silken Thomas's kindness. Aces from top to bottom.

15/10/2026: Had a wonderful experience at Maloti Indian Cuisine! The atmosphere was lovely, and the service was excellent. The restaurant has a welcoming vibe, and everything felt great. Highly recommend visiting if you’re looking for a nice place to enjoy Indian cuisine. Definitely worth a visit! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

26/09/2026: Had a lovely meal , the service was excellent and the food was delicious. I was very impressed with my baileys coffee.. they whipped the cream and Baileys in a cocktail shaker it was lovely. Great service.. Would highly recommend

I really loved the Ellipsis home brew and enjoyed tasting the sample paddle with my wife, who also complimented the excellent wine selection. 30/09/2026: An update!! Decided to give them another shot (handy for on the way home), wife wasn’t too hungry, so had the soup, and was asked if she’d like an extra slice of bread to with it, as no main. No indication that it was an extra charge, just a nice gesture. How wrong. I have to say we were shocked, absolutely incredulous that it was charged for €1.25 for slice of bread. I get things can be tight, margins etc, but really, down to charging for slices of bread. Anyways, that’s us done with the Dew Drop. “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me” Staff are great, and it is a nice pleasant location, but, but, I do think the food quality has fallen off over time. Had the feather blade beef, it was just too dry, needed more gravy than what was on the plate, need to get extra gravy to make up. Also a €4 supplement on the fixed menu, pretty small font there! The fish in the fish and chips wasn’t great neither, the fish just was too soggy, just ok. The panda cotta was woeful though, a useless tulip glass that made it hard eat, and it was just liquid rather than firm. Has to check the menu to see the description, as we thought it was supposed to have orange. It did, in the bottom, but not enough. Overall, an absolutely woeful dessert. A pity, as we have enjoyed diners there previously

11/07/2026: I place the order like before money is taken from account, and when i go for collection, they sey there is no orders, and they say for payment u need to contact customer service online through email. I offer to give me bank number and details, they refuse to help. My questions is who is responsible for payment? No answer
