21/02/2026: Tonight I ordered a ginger boy, half of the box was onions, there was no garlic, 2 micro sticks of ginger and 2 slices of shitake mushrooms. Prawns were over cooked. I'm very disappointed because last time it was excellent. If there is no consistency in the food quality I won't order again.

22/02/2026: My breakfast was served long before my partners arrived to the table even though we ordered the same breakfast at the same time! Grabbed the occasional coffee/hot chocolate here when doing our shopping in Dunnes but they are very inconsistent. 90% of them are not worth the money. Cold lattes and hot choc and sometimes way too little chocolate in the hot choc. Like drinking foamy warmish milk with a few marshmallows on top that can't even melt. Won't be wasting our money here again.

17/07/2026: I won’t be coming back to this place again, at least not for food. I ordered the Mexican chicken bowl, and the rice was bitter. This had nothing to do with the spice level—it simply tasted bad. The chicken also had obvious issues with its quality and preparation. The only edible parts of the meal were the lettuce and the tomato salsa. In the end, I threw the rest of the food away. This is the first time I’ve ever disliked a meal so much that I couldn’t finish it. I also have to mention the coffee. It was basically hot water with a drop of coffee. I honestly don’t know how it’s possible to ruin such a simple drink. The prices were clearly overpriced. I understand that it’s a service station, but the quality should at least match the price. Next time, I’ll definitely choose somewhere else for a snack or lunch.

08/06/2026: The main takeaway is that Macari's a great takeway, I like the fish and chips! Service is good, it doesn't take too long for your food to be ready, I would highly recommend to anyone who wants fish 'n' chips in Clane.

30/09/2025: Ordered a cake from them, when I went to pick it up, it was melted and slid off the base before I could even get home. The got my order wrong and when I complained they argued that they gave me a discount. Which was lies. Instead they blocked me on their business page on Instagram sugardrop77. No refund, just an apology. Never order from them again

23/06/2025: They were late to give my daughter her bday cake were left waiting hours only to be given the wrong cake. Showed no remorse daughter was promised a Taylor Swift cake. Don't even think they bothered making it I think they just chanced their arm. They refunded the money a week later. Too little too late damage wad done. Charged alot for the cake too

22/05/2026: Did my order through the website was waiting for my food, it was never arrived, called the place several times no answer, the money was gone from my account. They called me back the next morning to say they were closed yesterday but I can have a discount on my next order. When I ordered next time I ordered a garlic and cheese chips as a side order which they say it will be free. Still charged me delivery fee etc . And after all they sent me a plain chips instead because I guess was cheaper.. absolute joke never again

26/07/2026: Will never order from this place again. They got my order wrong. Phoned them up only for them say I’m wrong instead. They even had the cheek to say they checked the bagging on the cctv. Eventually they said they’d send the missing burger from the order..an hour later and still waiting. Very poor attitude from this takeaway.

14/06/2026: First time here and it will be my last , the ribs were good but the sauce was supposed to be BBQ ( I’m not sure what it tasted of) , the aromatic duck was unfortunately burnt and had small bones in it. Sweet and sour chicken was ok. You would expect better for the price. Staff were nice.

29/03/2026: Ordered two bags of chips. Everyone else in the shop was served before us, despite ordering later. Not sure if they were waiting for the potatoes to grow or if they just forgot we existed. Either way, plenty of other chippers in the area with better timing and customer service.
