The best restaurants in Kildare

26/04/2025: Spice bag was lovely, very big portion, great value. Delivery for me was quick ordered Friday night and was with me in 30 to 35 minutes.

22/02/2025: Originally posted 11 months ago March 24...Food is lovely, but the last few times delivery is taking over an hour. There are closer places in the town I could get from but prefer here, but the length of time delivery takes is starting to put me off, might me something they need to look at. Update Feb 25... Every week the service is getting longer and longer, unfortunately tonight was the breaking point.. over 2 hours for a delivery that cost €50.. it's been the same the last few times and everytime you ring a girl says 'oh he's on his way' that's literally the explanation.. The food is unreal but unfortunately tonight the lack of service lost them a customer.. Back to Hons in Kildare town where they can deliver the food while your hungry...

11/05/2025: As regular customers to Newbridge silverware restaurant..today was disappointing to say the least. My wife had tea and a raspberry scone which she said was lovely but as she was eating the scone she felt something in her mouth which happened to be a 1cm of hard plastic that was in the scone and my wife had it in her mouth. To our shock we went back to the counter where one girl at the till was shocked ..and then another girl came who I presume was the Supervisor..apologised and asked my wife if she wanted another scone..In my opinion those scones where contaminated and should have been removed immediately but they were left for other customers. No offer or an alter product ...no fresh tea but the ultimate insult was when she came down to the table and left 4 euro ..the price of the scone on the table. We were not looking for anything but just the situation was handled so poorly ..will not be visiting again which is a shame because we liked this restaurant

05/05/2025: It's a shame the food is so mediocre as the setting is quite lovely. I had the worst sandwich today. Rock hard crust that I nearly chipped a tooth on. Thick clumps of tomato, one measly sliver of ham, rocket that was absolutely scorched and chips that were over cooked and tasteless. Disappointing for the price point. The menu was quite bland overall. I think it would be better for coffee and cake than a lunch.

31/05/2025: Not great to be honest. Ordered the Tokyo bowl and felt that because it was almost the end of the day everything was just thrown into it and left swimming in sauce. Ate half of it and the rest went into the bin.not great “value” either

24/05/2025: Food was relatively good but it’s definitely on the pricy side for a fancy salad. The chicken was a little on the dry side but overall fine. Feta cheese was an extra €3.50 for a tablespoons at best.

20/10/2024: The Irish breakfast and French toast were completely greasy, and the sausage was undercooked, not to mention the coffee, which was terrible

19/04/2025: Frozen chicken that is fried on the spot by listless staff, dirty tables and cold lights. It was late at night and we didn't have many other options... I wonder if other spots in this chain are better, but I don't think I'll take the risk of trying.

03/05/2025: Food is okay but expensive. We spent 100 euro on food and waited 2 hours for our order to arrive. Called twice waiting and not so much as an apology from the staff. One garlic dip is 1 euro and is only half filled? The delivery driver also tried to walk off with a 10er and then claimed he had no change. Not the first time he "has no change" but miracously has change when you tell him you want him to come back with it.

23/04/2025: Really Good Place, Good Prices and the food it's really good, I went when it was a Latina Girl Working and was a good service, Really good Music and Atmosphere, Chicken and Chips was the best but also the pizza was delicious.

24/04/2025: Currently eating a pizza. It has chicken, peppers, onions, sweetcorn and mixed herbs. I am so happy eating this. It is perfect. I will call in personally to tell you all. Chips are also delicious. Never stop.

09/02/2025: A No for me. Food here is not good. Ordered a doner kebab tray and it wasn’t a bit nice. Food here is tasteless. Just pretty bang average any time I’ve got food from here. The sauce he puts on is just horrible altogether.

02/05/2025: ***WOW*** Walked into the door, to a large open space with tables and seating areas, to then be greeted by a lovely staff member at the till. The prices of the meals were a very pleasant surprise. We were seated immediately, and within a short amount of time, the food started to arrive. The food in this establishment, would have to be the freshest and tastiest food we have eaten. Every mouthful came with an explosion of flavours. Each meal is quite a substantial size and will leave you quite full when you are finished. The food is great value for money. *The Kebabs are by far the best we have had in years*

28/03/2025: Used to be a great coffee house in Naas with a lovely atmosphere. Yet recently the staff are atrocious, not all of them but certainly two or three bad eggs there now. In my last few visits I've heard staff cursing, they are constantly loudly complaining about management. Loud to the point of actually hurting your ears, very much disturbing the peace. Most patrons quietly having a chill time and the staff just shout-talking to each other. Completely damaging the atmosphere. For years I would have commended the professionalism in here, now it feels like young spoilt people slowly producing coffees in-between their bitching sessions.

18/03/2025: Always something missing from order usually drinks and sides but have had mains missing. Then take 40 mins to get missing items. If you're lucky enough to get your food you get to look forward to reheated chips, stale prawn crackers and chewy chicken. We order at least once a week in case you're wondering if it was a once off. It was one too many times for us unfortunately and will be finding somewhere else now.
