19/08/2025: Came with my 5year old on a trip visiting grandparents. Fantastic customer service from Kayleigh who went above and beyond to make our visit special. Lovely venue with kind friendly staff. Thank you Kayleigh for a wonderful visit ❤️

11/08/2025: It seems like it should be a traditional pub with a lovely atmosphere but when you enter it’s hard to figure out what’s going on! The layout is disorientating - seats higher than tables, tables that don’t move which force you to wedge yourself in and a lot of tree like stumps to navigate around. I did notice traces of Spider-Man within the bar, hanging directly above the taps. He had caught his latest victim, the humble blue bottle fly… maybe give the bar a dusting? We did go on a Monday night which probably doesn’t help with the atmosphere, however, it’s hard to picture the building full and the vibe changing. We wanted it to be nice and quaint but we were left looking at things we would change if we owned it, however we don’t, so if the owners happy cothrom go leor! The pint of Guinness was delicious though, but my glass had the reminiscence of lipstick on it… never a good sign! Overall we wanted to be dazzled, walking from our stay into the heritage to a cozy pub 400m away but left disappointed in what seems like a forgotten gem!

04/05/2025: The food was amazing. A prefect place for lunch. I hope I can come again soon maybe for dinner. For anyone thinking about having lunch out try Mulhall restaurant.

10/07/2025: For such a big community I can’t believe this is the only public pool. The changing rooms are disgusting. Filthy and rubbish, plasters and filth everywhere. Didn’t see one person of staff cleaning anywhere around the pool, in the changing rooms etc I wouldn’t go back for the simple reason it was so filthy it put me off swimming.

01/08/2025: Worst food I’ve eaten in my entire life! I was abused by the workers and there was food in my hair. The quality of life code tadpole yes yes! Ok bye I will be play when yes. My tadpole carrying babies so hungry Chinese food yes. My squid escape from house chickpea rainbow space. That’s all for now! Goodbye from tadpole superhero and friends!

22/06/2025: Great cinema, super clean. Very friendly staff. Prices are a bit steep but that seems to be common across cinemas now.

28/05/2025: Went yesterday to see "thunderbolts" in screen "5" first thing I notice is the seats are clapped out and nothing underneath you so it's a uncomfortable after a about 20 mins, then there screen not being formatted right ie colour and brightness so your left with a white sheen over the movie like when you turn your setting to full brightness watching a video on your phone, only 2 speakers working out the six so no surround sound plus you hear people talking and using there phones. I left after 20 mins. Staff are the only saving grace polite, kind and friendly. Don't waste your money watch at home or go somewhere decent.

23/05/2025: Wow - what a delightful transformation ! I enjoyed a wonderful evening at this little gem in the square. Our barman Darren was a delight- our glasses were full al night . Lovely touch in the ladies toilet with sanitary products. Great fun with darts, karaoke and pool. Best pub in the town .

30/08/2025: Reading other reviews here ,we must have got you on a bad day, Just had a takeaway from here,and we are gutted over it , the chicken was tough and dry and like rubber , the curry was like water absolutely brutal . Never again.

04/07/2025: Main courses were grand, I did order a sticky toffee pudding which was actually a very dry bland chocolate cake. I hate doing it but I sent it back. No fuss, the guy dealing with it was very polite and helpful. Staff are ran off their feet, not near enough of them and this made service fall short, waiting 20+ mins after asking for bill. To really emphasise, the wait staff themselves are individually great and cannot be faulted, management is the clear issue here! They really need to do better to look after food standards and smooth service
