17/02/2026: I have a usual order that I have been ordering for the last 12 years. Everyone in Mezza Portlaoise knows my order. I went in one night and ordered my usual. I got home and discovered what I got was not my usual. I went back a couple of days later and the guy who appears to be in charge said he was surprised when my food was being handed out to me wasn't my usual order despite acknowledging that I had clearly ordered my usual order. I hadn't planned on asking for my next order to be free but when this guy acknowledged that what I got was not what I ordered I expected that 12 years as a customer might mean something and I asked if the order i had just submitted would be free gratis. Nope, wasn't going to happen and I made it very clear I will not set foot in this establishment again. Good customer service is not hard folks but apparently it is.

04/10/2025: I have been using Leisure centre for about 3 years, it is notoriously the worst gym in Portlaoise on account of the small space lacking some serious equipment and horrible changing room facilities. I still enjoyed it as the price correlated to the quality/size and was usually quite and had a lovely crowd. When renewing my membership after the remodel the price had sky rocketed only being a few euros cheaper then Midlands which has much better classes, changing rooms, spa discounts, etc. There is an obvious issue with maintaining staff especially in the last few months. Most of the staff inside the gym are lovely but the front desk staff always seem to have a horrible attitude and seem frustrated with the most basic questions. What has driven me to the point of a negative review is there has been a huge influx of children/very young teenagers using the gym. Younger people being there would not be an issue if they werent so disruptive, they are wrestling each other, half of them wearing school uniforms (jeans) leaving phones and other belongings over all the equipment that they’re not using so it cannot be used by other members. If say your using a bench in the dumbbell section theres 5 kids crowding around one on another and they are accidentally sitting on top of you and bumping into you with weights in hand making it impossible to work out. Not to mention the fact they’re constantly hitting, pushing, and pulling at each other around other people who are paying a high price to just clear their head after a long work day. The gym is much too expensive for what it is and to pay that much to not be able to workout because they have no regard for anyone else and staff instead of asking them to mellow down a little are fistbumping them, taking selfies with them and actively encouraging the behaviour. My partner asked the other day who was in charge and the woman who identified herself as so, I asked her this Thursday what time does the gym close at on Saturdays and she said half 5 yet this Saturday was kicked out at 5 because “they’re closed.” They keep repainting the place but no effort to maintain the changing rooms or maintain any sort of gym environment. If I had paid for the month I would simply change gyms but I paid for the year in May and have noticed such a drastic steady decline since then. Extremely disappointing.

10/04/2026: Just got an order for collection from here. Doner meat in the wrap and kebab was absolutely freezing… inedible… chips raw.. all to go to the bin.. don’t waste your money

01/05/2026: Ordered mixed doner and chicken kebab + naan bread. Food was great. Hoping more veggies next time. Fast delivery, it came 35 minutes early.

31/05/2026: Got food tonight Delivered and have to say it was lovely Rice cooked perfect tasty curry and the chicken cheese rolls were Amazing even gave us a free can of coke and extra tub of sauce would definitely order again

The food arrived super fast and tasted incredibly fresh, not greasy or rushed at all. ​The staff was super friendly and handled a busy rush professionally. The food arrived really quick, not greasy or rushed at all. ​The staff is super friendly especially Johnny who was so helpful and made sure our food was ok, and handled a busy rush with total ease. On top of that, the place is spotlessly clean. ​ It’s rare to find a fast food place that nails the food, speed, and service all at once. Highly reccomend!

28/03/2026: There is zero quantitie to quality ratio , €36 for a meal deal for two with sides ! . The pizza was erm basically like a cracker texture with minimal cheese or sauce with Zero taste , as for the sides erm best way to describe it would be lidil frozen food quality (cheap but not cheerful) I should of questioned the place , not one soul in it on a Saturday night very strange , I won't be returning customer. Domino's should be embarrassed with the lack of quality. Save your money and avoid .

01/06/2026: I ordered a meal using their online menu. The price was 12.00 for the meal. When I went to collect it there was a paper menu on the counter which had the different price of €12.80. I understand also that if you order through Just Eat there is a different price again. Having 2 or 3 different prices is wrong and not legal. When asked about the different price the server played the Manuel card "I know nothing" Not good enough I'm afraid.

13/03/2026: Always love their singapore noodles (chicken) what i got the other nite was not the chicken i usually get!! I was not impressed if i wanted a spice bag i would have ordered that!! Noodles should not be served with breadded chicken!
