09/08/2026: Below par, probably wouldn't eat there again

07/08/2026: We were surprised how fresh and delicious the kebab and pizza were. Got it delivered faster then expected, too.

16/08/2026: Nice staff and fabulous donor kebab.

27/07/2026: Bought burgers and chicken curried chips. The burgers were horrendous. The curried chicken had a soapy taste. All four agreed about the soapy taste. Only went here because our regular chipper in Kilminchy are on holidays.

29/03/2026: I used to be a very loyal customer of Costa Portarlington but now going forward never again I will go back and support this business after today. I went in today and went to go to the counter to get a coffee and scanned my Costa app on my phone and the staff member (her name Sakunrat) told me the item I was getting was free today as I had a coupon. Now I began to question her why did I have a coupon as they never normally give out free drinks just like that, and she didn’t explain to me and told me it was free. So I completed the sale and asked for a receipt just to make sure but little of my knowledge the only reason why it was free because she used it against all of my loyalty card points. I was unaware of this and neither would’ve I consented for this to happen as I was saving up those points for a day I might need them. I was left in absolute distraught and anger after this had happened. I was a very loyal customer of Costa Portarlington and I will assure you I will never support this business anymore until this disgusting behaviour is sorted.

10/05/2026: The service is terrible but the food is delicious, the people are mean.

10/05/2026: The staff has a very bad attitude. The employee doesn't understand English and overcharges me by 2€. He always says the price is higher than necessary.

03/07/2026: I would like to make a complaint about the service from Pakistan owner customer service I received at Pizza Max today. My son, who uses walking sticks and cannot stand for long periods, went into the shop to order a doner kebab. He was charged €10 for the kebab and was not asked if he wanted chips or a drink. He then had to come back outside to ask me for more money so he could order them separately. After ordering, he waited around 10 minutes. When he went back to order the chips and drink, he had to wait another 10 minutes. No customer at all and he jot serious him.let him.wait for lond time i went into the shop and politely asked why he had not been asked about chips and a drink when he first ordered, especially as he has difficulty standing for long periods. The staff member responded very rudely i am mother and he talk to my beside my son aggressively the Pakistani owner men took €6 from the till and threw the money on the floor in front of me. He said, “Do you think I need your money? I have more money than you.” I explained that the issue was not about money, but about how customers are treated, especially a young person with mobility difficulties. I was then told to leave the shop. I am very disappointed by the poor customer service from pakistan , disrespectful behaviour, and lack of professionalism shown by this staff member. I hope this complaint will be taken seriously and investigated.

20/06/2026: Everything was fine until after i ate my kebab and chips and my stomach wanted a eviction notice 😭🙏

03/08/2026: We had a lovely lunch in the Emo café last Saturday, staff so welcoming+friendly. Food was delicious +atmosphere was very relaxed, efficient +well managed. My only 2 negatives wld be the crampt area the staff are working in +the gift shop, very disorganised, expensive +no one managing till or stock.

24/07/2026: Really enjoyed lunch here on Tuesday, food was very nice and fresh, great variety. We had soup, vegan panini, chicken panini, cake and coffee. Staff were very friendly and helpful, they were in and out cleaning tables and asking if anyone needed anything else, I noticed them going back in to get napkins and cutlery for a customer who forget to bring them out, they also provided water for dogs in the courtyard.
