The best restaurants in Laois

10/08/2025: Food is tasteless, but they give you loads of chips. The chicken curry and chips is the worst i have ever had and if the quarter pounder burger was any thinner you would be able to see through it.

13/08/2025: The seating area is lovely, but the toasted sandwiches were such a disappointment. 6.20 for a ham and cheese toastie that had meagre fillings in it and the cheese wasn’t even melted or hot. A lick of relish or a bit of onion wouldn’t have gone astray. It was the same story for the “Dubliner cheese” sandwich too. 28 euro for 2 sandwiches, a sausage roll, Coke Zero and a kids smoothie.

29/06/2025: Great location and lots of parking. Also great for dogs. Coffee was very nice, we had toasties - they were okay. No very filled and no crisps or sides and still cost over €6 each. Would return as handy spot to pull in.

25/03/2025: Probably the worst food I've eaten from a Chinese. It's sad to watch prices go up and the product quality go down dramatically. Restaurants are getting away with this, creeping prices and low quality food.

04/09/2025: We got food delivered and we're very disappointed, there was a chip missing no straws, salt or ketchup and the wrong sauces, my drink was also the wrong size, my dads burger was cold and a mess with sauce, we rang multiple times with no answer, they clearly dont bother read the online orders properly or bother answer the phone.

23/06/2025: Delivers to my area on just eat which is way overpriced on that but on their actual website they cant deliver to my area which makes no sense at all Needs to be changed Not even 10 minutes drive away like ridiculous

13/05/2025: Located at the roundabout makes that service station well accessible. Outside the building there is a defibrillator and atm. The place serves very nice coffee with an opinion of oat milk which is a big plus. You can get there very nice chicken roll for breakfast or lunch. New car wash machine is great!

20/07/2025: It was the worst chicken swarma I have ever had. It has nothing to do with the swarma seasoning. First of all, we didn't get what we paid for for €24, I called them back and they fought with me. The delivery guy was really rude.I will never order from them again. Disappointing

08/06/2025: I've been ordering from here the last 20yrs but my God the last 2 times it's been dirt Burnt crusts and cold pizzas Il never order again from here. Changed the oven from stone cooked to a tray cooking And it's gone down hill. Go back to the original way or don't sell pizzas It's absolutely dirt your selling now

02/04/2025: Placed a takeaway order, when driving in they called to say they were too busy and could I wait longer or accept a refund. Accepted the refund option. Then received a call about 2 hours later to say the food was ready, fair enough we all make mistakes, but explained it to the restaurant about the refund and they said refund would be sorted out, 4 days later there is still no refund!!

22/07/2025: The food was absolutely delicious however I got delivery and I feel like that the time it took to get to me was a bit long.

07/06/2025: Absolutely diabolical!! Food was greasy stuck together and under cooked . To think this was one of the best takeaways in Portlaoise. Don't waste your money stay well clear . Women behind the counter was very rude and laughing when I complained.

04/05/2025: The worst kebab I've ever seen in my life , nothing in it and the fish was over done with hard batter, with the smallest bag of chips in the world ......never again , don't go there whatever you do !

04/05/2025: This was our first time having food from this place . We got a delivery and it was the worst food we ever got 😒 cost us 25e for fish and chips and a kebab. My dog 🐕 would of not eaten it . We had to throw it out . Please stay away 🙏 and don't waste your money . Thanks 👍

28/08/2025: It was good but has completely lost focus on the food that they sent out , the last three pizzas were starting to change my mind . The food is very salty leaving you with a incredible thrist the following morning ( yes the last three so it wasn't anything else that I consumed) the ingredients appear to have way cheaper and not fresh . The last pizza was a nightmare. My honest opinion go somewhere else . especially with response of customer services . See photo that's meant to be half and half ....the premises said sorry but we are busy can we do something for you tomorrow!!! So I get a response from Apache to reach out Management to which I did with the response from them above ...well that says it all and yes I have What's app prove of their response .

07/08/2025: Avoid at all cost. I got food poisoning same as the other person who left a review 3 days ago as that’s when I ordered. I’m still throwing up this shop definitely needs to get shut down with amount of bad reviews. AVOID AT ALL COST
