The best restaurants in Limerick

19/08/2026: Everything I would want in a pub and dining experience. They introduced me to a local whisky that will make me long for it when I get back to the states. You can’t go wrong here and the staff made me feel like a treasured guest.

16/08/2026: Genuinely one of my favourite pubs in Ireland. Staff are so helpful, the bouncers are great craic and the venue is fantastic. Gigs here are always 10/10, Limerick fans know how to rock 🤘

10/07/2026: Everything was absolutely fantastic. Even from before our arrival at the restaurant, the contact and communication from Linda and the team ensured a perfect dinner. Most of our had the steak (which is the best in limerick for sure) along with the monkfish and pork belly. Everyone was delighted with th food it was AMAZING. The service and staff are all so fab and accommodating, service was fun and always with a smile. I haven’t been here in a good few years and I must sa, Freddy’s has kept the same consistency now as it has ten years ago. I look forward to going back soon.

30/06/2026: Here for a couple weeks for work and I reserve seating for my coworker and myself. I would have to say it’s one of the best spots that I have tried in Limerick. I had the pork tacos, ohhh so good. Steak was tender as can be. Lemon tart was good. I would highly recommend both the pork tacos and the steak.

I went with a friend to have a cocktail on the hotel terrace and I was surprised by the quality price, in addition to a quiet and very beautiful environment next to the river. I was attended by a very nice guy, I think his name was Vicente, thank you very much I'll be back for sure!

21/05/2026: One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at! Amazing concierge service, rooms, location, room service, breakfast, etc. We had a great time here and it was the perfect location for us to walk all of Limerick and learn the city. We loved our room and housekeeping did a fantastic job keeping it clean during our stay. We didn’t want to leave!

19/08/2026: A limerick classic with great music and Irish dancers. We went back a couple of times and nothing disappointed.

15/08/2026: The burgers are very good and the servers are very friendly. However, the wait is very long and the restaurant is extremely noisy, especially during live music. We left as soon as we finished our meals with headaches from the noise. Avoid going on Saturday nights for an indoor meal.

19/07/2026: Just spotted this cafe as I was walking into town and I must say and what a great spot! See, this is why sometimes walking really is the best mode of transportation, especially when you’re not familiar with the area or you’re a tourist/permanent resident exploring. My feet just wandered into this beautiful cafe, and I’m so happy they did. First thing I noticed was how popular it was. There were already lots of people inside enjoying their breakfast, which immediately gave it a lively and welcoming atmosphere. I admittedly checked the Google score and saw it had a very impressive 4.8. With that kind of rating, I couldn’t say no and I’m really glad I didn’t! The omelette I ordered was fantastic. It was very well cooked, packed with great flavour, and not dry at all. It tasted fresh and satisfying from the first bite to the last. I also tried the chai latte, and it was really great. In fact, I liked it so much that I ended up having two of them during our visit. My mother, who was with me, let me convince her to have one too, and she agreed it was super delicious and well made. Add to that the excellent service the staff were super friendly with absolutely no rudeness at all. The lovely decor added to the pleasant environment, making the whole place feel warm and inviting. Overall, the food was delicious and everything came together for a really enjoyable experience. If you’re in the area, whether you’re a local or just passing through, I would definitely recommend stopping by Rose Cafe. It’s the perfect spot for a tasty breakfast or a relaxing drink, and it’s exactly the kind of hidden gem you hope to find when exploring on foot. We left feeling very happy with our choice!

22/08/2026: We couldn’t help but stop on our way to Burren after reading the shops name. All together we had three espresso drinks, a croissant with Nutella and butter, as well as a cinnamon bun. Perfecto! The croissant was buttery and flaky, and most importantly, the cinnamon bun was the perfect amount of sweetness. The very discerning particular palate who ordered it had absolutely no complaints. Thank you for such a warm part of our morning!

20/08/2026: Our experiences in Ireland and the UK have been very hit and miss with coffees. The coffee at this cafe was creamy and the flavour was delicious. Beans were from Spain. Food in Ireland has been exceptional and the breakfast we had was nothing short of this. Must try in Abbeyfeale!

27/08/2026: We did the whiskey stories class and the Irish coffee class at this place, what a wonderful time!! Our instructor was warm, knowledgeable and accommodating. My wife is lactose intolerant and he went out of his way to make sure she had a great time. The classes were fantastic, the whiskey was outstanding as was the Irish coffee. If you are ever in Limerick and looking for something to do, I can't recommend this establishment enough; I'd give them 10 stars if I could!!

26/08/2026: Incredible food, the bacon and cabbage was legendary, I will be dreaming about that meal for a long time. Additionally the Guinness was on point as all Guinness in Ireland is, this is a great spot to stop in for a bite and a pint when in Adare, 5 stars at least!
