06/05/2025: Visited Esquires for late lunch after the Limerick Great Run. Unfortunately they were out of most of the dishes on the menu (probably because of the crowds).
We had to get the chicken chorizo sandwich. The sandwich was huge, so quantity was not an issue. The combination of chicken and cheese was also delicious. However the sandwich was a bit dry, too toasty. The chips we got as a side were also good. Didn't get any coffee.
The seating is good and comfortable. The staff is great.
Had heard really good reviews about this place (and food). Will visit again to try the other dishes.

06/06/2025: We were here last year while on a trip to Ireland and I should have written this review sooner, but I just wanted to say we really enjoyed their gluten free fish & chips and cottage pie! Yum! Also the atmosphere here was very nice and just what you'd expect from a proper old time Irish pub.

09/06/2025: Had a beautiful lunch here. The vegetarian platter was made to suit our choices - beautifully presented - so fresh and tasty. The staff were so friendly too - we couldn't have asked for anything better after exploring the city on our day trip. Simple food with great flavours!
26/05/2025: We were looking for somewhere for dinner on a quiet Monday night in Limerick but didn't fancy a typical burger or chicken establishment. We found this restaurant on Google maps and decided to give it a try. It was quiet so the service was great. The food was incredible! I would highly recommend the mezze.

30/04/2025: This place has been a favourite for years! The food is consistently good - the Cajun chicken salad is so delicious!! Their desserts are all home made and very hard to resist! Staff are always helpful and nice. Even if you don't get a table straight away - it's always busy at lunch time - don't give up! The queue moves quickly and it's definitely worth the wait.

I was only in Adere for 5 days and I ate here 2 x (that good)
Food wise I had the best seafood chowder I have ever had and on my 2nd visit I had the fish & chips (piping hot and incredible ) Both visits I had the lovely Chloe as our server. She was delightful and provided exemplary service

06/06/2025: Stupendous selection of Irish whiskey, from a majority of very reasonable, normal prices to a selection of rarer bottles too. Many discoveries to be made.
10/05/2025: Straight after moving to Limerick, Ireland, Mother Mac's have made me feel like this is home. The beer selection is second to none, with rotating taps celebrating local and national beers, and a fantastic selection of local beers.
The staff however are the cherry on top. So wonderful, friendly and full of recommendations and advice, they really make the pub what it is. Sláinte!

08/05/2025: Amazing music, only a 15 minute wait when they were short of staff and I ordered a feast, also the service was so stellar! Doublechecked the order, made sure I got everything, and threw in an order of plantains for free. The food was piping hot all the way home and packaged so well, everyting was wrapped up to not spill. The food is as authentic as it gets! The proper amount of spice and all! Very reasonable prices as well! The portions are quite large!
14/04/2025: If you are in Limerick, you will need to make this spot a staple. The food here is INCREDIBLE! If you want tasty, spicy and utterly delicious go no further. The jollof rice was unreal! The staff are also fabulous. Had a great chat with the server who gave me extra spice when I asked for it and it was perfect!! I will 100% be back. 😍

20/05/2025: Few pints on Saturday outdoors. Sunny day. Couldn't get seats on footpath so we're on smoking area. Trad music on inside, cold beers , watching world go by. Couldn't fault it ..lovely bar.

10/04/2025: Unfortunately they don’t serve waffles anymore at all. Which is why we went there. But the scones and other food are good. I do wish A Lot that they served waffles even one day a week as I have not found anywhere in Ireland that serves decent American style waffles
