The best restaurants in Limerick

05/06/2025: They have all coffee ☕ for 2 eur only

01/06/2025: We visited McGettins on our first night in Limerick. It was the restaurant/bar inside our hotel, Limerick City Hotel. We actually were going to go somewhere else but they gave us a $5 voucher per person upon checkin. It was a great business move, because it did entice our hungry tired selves to just venture down there instead of go outside of the hotel. We went around 6:30 pm and there were minimal people, most likely due to it being a Monday night. I ordered the Carbonara and my partner ordered the fish and chips. The food came out very quick, within 10 minutes of us ordering and it was very hot. They were both delicious, I even preferred the fish and chips here to the one I ordered at Locke Bar down the street the next night. We also ordered an Orchard Thieves for the first time and it was refreshing and not too sweet for a cider. I took off a star for service because we were a bit confused how it all worked. We were told to sit wherever but weren't sure if we were supposed to go find someone to order or if someone would come to us since both servers/bartenders were behind the bar. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere though with comfortable seating and fun decor.

28/03/2025: Had a fantastic experience. Despite short notice, Nikki and the team were nothing but kind and helpful. They adhered to all dietary needs of those dining and delivered the food to our corporate event. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

26/11/2024: Very cold ... food and staff lovely but it was like a ice box no heating. It was freezing outside to be fair but restaurant was colder.

06/06/2025: We got a great kick-off for the day with Cappuccinos and some very healthy snacks. The staff was kind and we sat down while having a chat in this gorgeous small shop. Thank you so much!

31/01/2025: Gorgeous coffee shop, two very friendly and accommodating girls working today. Unreal quality coffee and açai bowls and chicken toasties with a few crisps on the side. The girls were so accommodating when my mom wanted an extra tea bag etc. very good prices. thanks a mil!

26/06/2025: Fantastic place came here for a late lunch. Panini was simple but amazing served with salad and soup and the coffee hit the spot. Great place will definitely come back here

22/02/2025: First time in Jack Monday's. It's a good place for a late breakfast or lunch. We had nice food for lunch. I had a wrap and my wife had a club sandwich. It came with salad and cubed potatoes. The coffee (I had a double espresso) was okay, but I like it a bit stronger. Lovely place with a view over the river Shannon and towards the castle. We will certainly come back for lunch.

12/06/2025: I ordered a large plate, the sushi was average, but not the worst. Very tasty fish plate and salad. The staff is friendly. My friend spilled some sauce on herself, so they immediately came over and offered to help.

12/03/2025: No exaggerating, this was the best food I have ever had! The pasta alla vodka was delicious and their daily special cheesecake was fantastic. The staff (server, chef, and everyone else) was extremely kind and helpful when we had to return due to our bus being canceled. I could not recommend it more

18/03/2025: Had a lovely stay at this hotel. We met with very welcoming staff at reception, Stephanie and hotel staff , Josephine and Maggie could not have been nicer. Lovely riverside walk. Bar food and Breakfast very nice ,freshly cooked. Rooms and Hotel area nice, warm and comfortable. All in all a lovely place to stay, a hidden gem!

26/05/2025: Incredible place. The best coffee and food I have ever had at a cafe in my 19 years of living . Brilliant staff especially the young man who served me coffee (I think his name is Louis but I’m not sure) but everyone working there is incredible as-well. Probably one of the best cafes in Europe and that’s an understatement. When I’m in the cafe I feel as though I am in Saint Denis that’s how good the atmosphere is.

03/06/2025: Haven’t been here in a while and not be back in the distant future. Mistakes happen and when you request no mayo on something, from time to time the kitchen misses the request. What’s completely unacceptable is when you send it back and it comes back with the mayo scraped off (and some still visible). Sending it back twice is a joke. Out of the three other meals - the chicken wings came with the wrong sauce, the veg for the roast beef was cold and the fish pie was overcooked. The manager was nice about applying discounts after I had to ask for them but this quality was ridiculous. It wasn’t the fault of the front of house staff either, I saw the order screen and everything was perfect.
