The best restaurants in Limerick

05/09/2025: Just had bacon and eggs in shake dog, the Cresent. Excellent, attentive staff...food cooked to perfection and a lively playlist, highly recommend

04/09/2025: Visited here today with family. Waited for ages to be seated, waitress went off attending to tables and forgot about us. Eventually brought to a table by a member of staff behind the counter. Ordered and waited, and I mean waited for the food. Whilst wait though, we could see that the table was all greasy as well as the seating. No propper attempt made here to clean. 2 of the meals were identical chicken dippers. One was very very warm, the other was icey cold on the inside. Not good I'm afraid, will not be returning in future. This place needs an audit to bring it up to standard.

07/08/2025: Lovely staff offered me and my friend water for free upon entry as we waited our take away. The restaurant itself was breathtaking in a gorgeous location. Luxury experience for reasonable prices. The food itself was delicious. I honestly have no complaints.

18/08/2025: We had our daughter's christening yesterday and we cannot thank everyone enough - Marta for taking my booking and arranging the event with us and Aundrea and Catherine and the rest of the team who looked after us on the day (also Shannon who took the cake from us the night before). We were shocked when we walked in and saw how much the team had decorated the side room for our meal. The tables looked beautiful with flowers, white table cloths and everything was set up for us. All we had done oursleves was drop in the balloons and cake earlier on. The menu was laid out without us having to decide on dishes which was great and everyone loved the food. Thanks for looking after us. We had a ball.

12/08/2025: Great lunch with friends today. Food selection excellent. Staff very friendly. Reasonably priced.

22/02/2025: First time in Jack Monday's. It's a good place for a late breakfast or lunch. We had nice food for lunch. I had a wrap and my wife had a club sandwich. It came with salad and cubed potatoes. The coffee (I had a double espresso) was okay, but I like it a bit stronger. Lovely place with a view over the river Shannon and towards the castle. We will certainly come back for lunch.

04/09/2025: An Italian restaurant right on the River Shannon. The service was very friendly and the pizzas were delicious. Definitely recommended.

25/08/2025: I ordered Singapore Rice to go from their classic menu, in which, Fried Rice ala Singapore. It's very good with the exact portion of Rice, combined with fresh vegetables, Chicken fillet, and Shrimps. Thanks Chef.

21/08/2025: I got spice boxes all over Limerick city this was 23 for the big spice box which is about usual me and my boyfriend got it and even left a bit and we can eat the spice was bang on not two much got a big tub of curry sauce and two drinks with it which were included in the price I recommend U give it a go

05/07/2025: I have one of those card stamps where you get a free coffee and when i presented it, the lady at the counter looked at it like it was a fake and said it's not stamped. It was signatured by the staff there. My first time using it. It was awkward and rude. Safe to say it's a stupid gimmick they have. Won't be going back.

02/07/2025: A lovely spot, just enough away from the chaos but still has a sense of busyness. A great spot to people watch. A shared space for the demographics of men over 60 and Art Students I hope they start doing soya milk

10/08/2025: Attended a birthday party here, great music, friendly staff , very clean toilets and there is a large smokers area outside. Great craic was had by all up dancing all night.

18/08/2025: The hotel is located on a canal, which in the summer appears brown with murky waters: it's not the same beauty as a mountain lake, but quite the opposite, much worse! To the side of the hotel, visible from the room, is a river transport depot: a storage area for scrap metal, logs, and skeins of wire. Not exactly a desirable view. The rooms are old, smell stale, and the ceilings are low—claustrophobic guests should beware. The choice of warm lighting in the room is questionable, while the bathroom is cold. The reception staff are young, but I wouldn't say they're friendly; in fact, they're a bit peppy. But why? Just because I refused their paid parking? The only redeeming feature was the manager, so I gave the service 3 stars. Postscript: I forgot to mention that after the first night, because the room was so cold, I ran away! It's part of my personality: I can't stand paying so much for such a low-quality room!

16/08/2025: The rooms have had better days - there is a smell of old that lingers. The receptionist needs to like her job a bit more and keep her attitude in check. Very disappointed on this front. It’s definitely too pricey for what it offers.
