The best restaurants in Westport

18/12/2025: Not your typical dinner menu. Creative and delicious food equated with fine dining. Thought given to portions and not overloading the starches. It’s all about tastes and providing quality food. Wine options are excellent, but it is best to ask which pairs best with your meal choices. Will definitely be making a reservation and returning when in the area.

08/11/2025: Our group of four friends have come back again to Sage! As before, we had a fabulous meal and pleasant and efficient service! Would highly recommend Sage! 🙌👏

08/01/2026: Nice bar, service ok, nice atmosphere but the food I had was pricey for a poor quality. Definitely not gastropub food. I had a fish and chips, fish was ok, but at this price you can't serve frozen chips, the same you'd find in a 5 euros kebab. It's not complicated to cut potatoes and make fresh chips, it's the basis of cooking. (Looking at previous photos of your chips, they looked way better before)

12/12/2025: What a beautiful café! I had breakfast here this morning and enjoyed a lovely mini breakfast. The service was prompt, and the owner is wonderful — He really looks after everyone with genuine care. A lovely addition to Westport!

21/11/2025: Okay, image if Chapter One and the Winding Stair went on holidays and opened a restaurant in Westport, Co. Mayo. It is honest, homely and true Irish fare with one of the best interpretations of a salmon starter. A venison main, which is not easy to present, is one of the finest I've ever had. It is a true test of a fine restaurant on how to offer such a complex meat. It was perfect! The desert brought back memories of my Granny's best rice pudding. Not at all easy to replicate to such perfection. All topped off with excellent service and wonderful atmosphere! Thank you to all the team at An Port Mór! 03/12/2025: The food is excellent in the Creel we had the steak sandwich and the soup of the day it was delicious, the staff are polite, friendly and professional. There is a nice relaxed vibe in Creel. Go check it our now. 😉

20/09/2025: The Gallery Wine Bar is a MUST visit! Delicious natural wines, delectable food served up with excellent vinyl music. Owner Tom is a real character, he’s inviting, knowledgeable and always great conversation. He took his time to chat about our wines and the importance of them being Natural, pulling books off the shelf he though we might like. The Gallery is our first, and often only port of call when in Westport…. Even the coffee is absolutely spot on. If you love natural wine, vinyls and a super chill spot, you have to get yourself there.

10/09/2025: Amazing high-end food in a very casual environment. I had the roasted lamb rump which was excellent. My partner had the cassoulet which was just as good. Highly recommend if you make your way to Westport.

08/01/2026: Great pint of Smithwicks. Nice bar area with great service. Has a large dining area that I didn't use but it was always busy, so I assume food was great.
