The best restaurantsof pizza & pasta

14/09/2025: Service was appalling, was trying to order a drink was asked to move certain area so I did. Then proceeded to get ignored by the bar staff who asked me to move in so I asked why, again because I was “not in the que” even though there was no designated Que here sign. Didn’t get name but very distinct staff member, Round glasses and mullet working upstairs by the smoking area absolutely awful service. All could have been avoided by better communication.

20/07/2025: We had Laguna cater for our wedding in April, the day ran so smoothly with them and the food was perfect! Amit and team from Laguna were absolutely incredible from start to finish! Amit was professional, incredibly responsive and attentive, he offered us advice and guidance throughout our wedding planning journey, always answering our many questions. We appreciated how Amit supported us through the creation of our menu, giving suggestions and advice on what dishes worked well together. We also had a great time at all of our tasting sessions at the restaurant, the high standards of food made us feel at ease at what we would receive on the day. Alongside the attentive table service at lunch, we also really appreciated that the team organised a separate canapes platter for us to eat and again at dinner the table service was impeccable. We had so many compliments on the food and are still receiving them many months later, we had a range of guests so we had to take into account spice levels and choices of dishes to suit everyone - Laguna hit the spot as everyone enjoyed it so much!

03/07/2025: I recently tried this food truck and was completely blown away by their wood-fired pizza. The crust was perfectly crisp with that amazing smoky flavor you can only get from a real wood fire oven. Every bite was fresh, hot, and packed with delicious toppings. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into making each pizza. The staff were super friendly and made the experience even better. If you’re a pizza lover, you have to check this place out. Easily one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had, food truck or not. Highly recommend!

19/08/2025: What a gem! Go downstairs into the gorgeous space and be treated like royalty by the gracious staff. I loved my lunch here -- the arancini was the best I've ever had. I tried my friend's mushroom polenta appetizer as well, which was also tasty.

02/08/2025: La comida era muy agradable, el vino era encantador y crujiente. La comida sabía fresca y muy bien presentada. Pan de focaccia encantador, casero y fresco. Mi único problema es la hospitalidad. Delante de la casa joven mujer es muy grosero. Por suerte no tuvimos que lidiar demasiado con ella ya que estábamos sentados detrás del restaurante. El hombre mayor que nos atiende no tuvo la mejor recepción, ya que estamos incomodándolo. Sin embargo, algunos miembros del personal eran muy amables, una chica pelirroja joven increíble servicio. Algunos miembros del personal son incómodos de estar cerca, en particular la parte delantera de la casa femenina que marcó el tono desde el primer minuto de nuestra experiencia aquí.

20/07/2025: I had the worst seafood pasta ever! Prawns was hard and tasted like paper disguasting and old, calmars very chewy, mussels was good and this all for over 23e. We have a very good memories from this place, that why it was very disappointing after what we get today. We have to wait for a menu because the waiters watch the match in tv. Long time waiting for a food. You can get better pizza in supermacs. Chefs is not Italian for sure. Or he just don't care. Never again. Overrating!!! Highly recommend the cocktails ,the only good thing in this place.

25/08/2025: I ordered chips and battered sausage the chips were fine but the batter on the sausage was awful and not edible as it was heavily soaked in fat and near burnt.....you need to have more control of what you send out to consumers ..in this day and age its not acceptable.

26/07/2025: Family-friendly and delicious Took my kids here last night and we all loved it. Big shoutout to the chef — the wings were cooked to perfection and the garlic mayo is to die for. There’s something for everyone on the menu. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

19/08/2025: Family restaurant with daily specials handwritten on a white board – always a good sign. The food was freshly cooked and great value for money. The roast beef was really tender, recommended. Kind notice for non-locals: this place does not serve alcohol or fancy drinks. It's just tea, coffee, orange juice and probably Coke/Fanta.

10/08/2025: Excellent home-cooked food, simple but good and authentic. A restaurant that focuses on substance, not appearances. That's a good thing. They don't have beer (I don't know if they have wine because I don't drink it). Unfortunately, the owner/waiter wasn't as welcoming as almost all the Irish people we encountered. He was brusque and sometimes annoyed, for some reason. Anyway, everyone has bad days, and if I were to pass by again, I'd definitely stop and eat there again.

29/08/2025: We ordered our pizza from the bar next door. The Neapolitan-style pizza itself was very good; with a few extras, you could make it a sensational pizza. Your dough is fantastic, but feel free to be a little bolder and use more salt; it will give it, and therefore the pizza, more flavor overall. Your pizza sauce with San Marzano tomatoes is similar. It's very good, but could use a bit more salt; that would help the pizza overall.

22/08/2025: The pizzas were delicious. The crust was really crispy and not at all hard or dry. Friendly service. I can recommend this place.

22/08/2025: Tasty fresh Pizzas on a nice thin base cooked by professionals . Great menu choices available. I chose the 12" option which was perfect for me without being a glutton. Eat in or take away. Nice ice cream too, thanks.

25/08/2025: Connolly's of Leap is an amazing family run pub and live music venue. An historical gem which is full of atmosphere. Inside there is a superb intimate music venue with a small balcony/mezzanine either side. In the garden is a beautiful unique stage, crafted in timber by a local artisan, with a good built-in sound system. The proprieters, siblings Sam & Mary, strive to keep this iconic little music venue thriving, They looked after us really well. All staff and crew are friendly and welcoming. We tried a few delicious wood-fired Pizzas, which were very tasty, in a word exceptional. I have travelled the length and breadth of Ireland over the last 40 years, visiting literally hundreds of pubs and live music venues in every county and this is one of the very best. My single regret is that I didn't discover it much earlier. Despite it being over a 4 hour drive from home we will definitely return.
