23/11/2024: I know this place gets great reviews, and, maybe we came in on an off night. But.... We thought there weren't enough snugs and the music was nothing to write home about. Bartender was friendly and service was fine, though.

24/11/2024: Honestly one of the nicest meals out we've had in a while. While expensive (we did have a voucher, and we did have a full three coure meal with wine for two people), we thought that the food itself was fantastic and we would consider going back again..

Portions were more than sufficient Staff very friendly and service was quick I am sure there would be good craic at night

01/12/2024: I loved the atmosphere 😍 cosy and lovely place. For starter, I ordered Tortillini, the main dish was beef, and the desert was a mix of tiramisu, creme brulle, and fruit cake with coffee. even though beef was a medium cooked one, it was one of the most delicious food 🥰 portions of main and starter were so big but desert was small. I absolutely recommend it 😊

03/12/2024: Great friendly central location for food, olamh & craic
23/11/2024: Wow! We didn't have a reservation; but, they were able to squeeze us in. We just came for a pint and the trad session; but, couldn't resist ordering the camembert. A-May-Zing!!! Then we had to order the sticky wings and they were impressive as well.
And, so much fun to listen to the superb trad session and wash everything down with a couple of pints (Guinness and Orchard Thieves).

05/11/2024: So many incredible menu options. I settled on the seafood chowder, oysters and Camembert app. Every bite was beyond delicious and tasty. I also enjoyed the gin recommendation of our delightful and helpful server. All that said, the crowning jewel is the historic atmosphere. Highest recommendation for this pub!

14/12/2024: Had a lovely meal out with family and was very pleased. The food was excellent, the staff were all very friendly and genuine and the overall experience was very enjoyable. Funke is well known and recommended in Sligo and for good reason. Highly recommended.

08/12/2024: Had a fab evening here recently, the team were so welcoming and helpful. The food is fab! I'll be back without a doubt. Got the carnival mix and WOW! And got to try the strawberry soju, so easy to drink, a really lovely tipple. The kimchi gyoza were particularly tasty.

08/11/2024: I was very surprised at how good the hotel was for a 3star, the room I had with a riverside view was lovely, very clean, I suffer was a bad back but the bed was very comfy, very quiet, I had a lovely sleep, I had dinner in the bar the seafood chowder was lovely, staff were pleasent and very attentive to all customers, thankyou, breakfast was lovely and a great choice, I would highly recommend staying here, such a great price for bed and breakfast, Riverside is more like a 4star, I will be back again and thankyou for a lovely stay.

27/10/2024: What an amazing find. Absolutely spotless pub, from the bar to the toilet to the smoking area. Love all the rooms and snug off the main bar. Very friendly staff and customers alike. The barman was lovely and chatty and had time to talk with us. Would definitely like to say we will be back!
04/10/2024: The Barman was wonderful -- he introduced me to some outstanding whiskies. The music was superb -- Leonard Barry led the sesh on the night I was there. Class, all the way around.
