Today i was there with my partner, we had really nice dinner in really cozy atmosphere with really nice staff. All yummy but be careful with the negroni is very strong 😀😇❤️ Now we have our favorite place ☺️

17/11/2025: Me and my family have just returned to England after taking our daughter to mullingar for a surprise 14th birthday treat as she is a massive one direction fan and even bigger niall horan fan.We arrived in clarke's bar on Saturday evening when the Irish rugby team was playing and it was very busy,as soon as kieron realised that my daughter tia was a niall fan he couldn't of done anything more for us he gave us all a personal tour and gave tia some special gifts he honestly made it the best day of her life.I can't recommend clarke's highly enough it is a very warm and friendly place I want to thank you kieron from the bottom of my heart for everything you done for Tia you are a very caring nice man,we all definitely will be back again soon thanks from Stuart and all his family.

17/11/2025: I just spent 3 of the most amazing days in Mullingar and the crew at Clarke's are a HUGE reason why. I was there to Celebrate Niall Horan's 32nd birthday and it was an awesome experience. I will NEVER forget how kind Kieran, Carole, Ryan, and Naomi were to me. Kieran let me pour my own Guinness - so much fun. Hope to return some day, but until then Slainte! Forever grateful in Texas, the "vintage" Niall Horan fan for life! P.S. Ryan I am expecting photos of the Texas recipes you try!

19/10/2025: My family and I went here for my birthday meal. The staff were lovely and very accommodating to our dietary requirements. The service was great very quick but still had great customer service along with it. We all ordered different food and were in agreement that our food was lovely. Great flavour and good portion sizing. The owner came over to talk with us and we briefly stated it was my birthday in a passing comment during conversation which they had taken more notice of then we realised as the staff came over with a surprise birthday dessert with happy birthday written on the plate which to us made a big impression of how much they care for their customers and truly do listen to what we say. Overall this was an amazing experience and we will be back again.

11/10/2025: Visited for a birthday lunch, we asked for all courses to come at once as one of us didn't want a starter and they were incredibly accommodating and everything came out really fast. Food was great and service was brilliant too, highly recommend

13/12/2025: We arrived (6persons) completely unprepared and without a booking. The floor manager greeted us so warmly and was able to accommodate us, despite being in under pressure in a full house of Christmas groups. Couldn't believe our luck, as it was our brothers birthday. Food was perfect and came out so fast. Great price and no fuss what so ever. They even surprised my brother with ice cream, a candle and sang him happy birthday, completely unexpected and so appreciated. Absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a wholesome and relaxed meal with lovely service. Will be going out of my way to go backsoon.... (I'll be sure to book ahead from now on)

Friendly professional staff, many of whom have in place for several years which gives a very pleasing familiarity. This restaurant has been serving Athlone for almost 20 years and it’s about time I paid tribute to its consistent excellence

09/11/2025: We had a fantastic morning coffee here! This is a lovely little cafe to visit, where the staff are very welcoming and helpful; the coffee is also delicious and strong, accompanied by a perfect carrot cake recommended by one of the baristas. There are many different areas in which to sit, each offering a different atmosphere and comfortable vibe. The music was a nice, upbeat addition, and not so loud that it was hard to chat. I noted the premises is dog friendly, which makes sense given the outdoor area. The front of shop is bright and seating is well spaced throughout. The baristas brought the coffees to the table, my flat white was good and strong which was great for early in the day, and good value for €3.70 and the carrot cake with walnuts was top notch for €3.80. They have a wide selection of individual cookies, cakes and other treats on offer, as well as some more filling options.

05/11/2025: The best cappuccino and espresso in Mullingar. The Brazilian asai was nice. Lovely place, an amazing atmosphere and music. I recommended it.

25/11/2025: This is a nice hotel. I rented a double twin room and I arrived later than anticipated. The woman at the reception was nice and helpful and I got my room right away. The hotel is complicated to maneuver while getting to the rooms but it has some nice featured rooms. It has a restaurant, a bar and a dining area for breakfast. And other areas that are nicely decorated. My room is nice and fairly large. One thing I noticed when I got into my room was that it was overly hot. Almost like a warm sauna. I looked at the radiator in the room to dial down the temperature and then I noticed that the dial was broken. I went down to reception and they offered to move me to another room. I declined and just opened the windows to let the cold in. Mullingar weather is nice and cold at the moment with plenty of rain so it helped to even out the temperature. The room is nice and the beds are comfortable. The table and chairs are a nice touch but a little cramped for the space. The bathroom is nice and clean. There are nice touches that make this hotel a nice place to stay. I highly recommend a visit.

09/11/2025: Brought our 9 year old daughter in at the weekend for her second ear piercing. There is so much more to Angel Art than meets the eye. We were brought upstairs by Angel to a large 2nd floor which was divided into smaller rooms so customers had a little bit of privacy. Angel was wonderful, explained everything in a child friendly way and made our daughter feel really at ease with her. The piercing was done with a needle which I wasn’t expecting and was done so quickly even our daughter was shocked that it was over and said that it was so much easier than when she had her ears pierced the first time with the gun. Angel also gave her a squishy as a distraction which she was delighted with. Would highly recommend Angel Art for children’s ear piercing. Our daughter had a wonderful experience.

10/10/2025: A wonderful quirky place. An atmosphere of calm, wonderful collection of new age stuff, incense in the air, kate bush on the sound system. I could spend all day there and not buy anything and leave with much more than I had going in. Great place with wonderful staff. 10/10.
