08/08/2025: A stellar meal in Athlone. A real focus on local produce, and expert handling. Rabbit and black pudding ballotine to start, a chocolate and cherry Mille feuille to finish, all homemade breads and the best cheese crackers have ever had. A recommendation to visit from anywhere.

08/08/2025: Excellent little restaurant. Went for the more expensive menu as fillet steak was on it. Every course was beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. Service was spot on. If I'm ever in Athlone again then I will be sure to eat here.

16/08/2025: I visited here yesterday as a Niall fan in his home town for the day. The owner is so friendly and gave us a tour of Niall's window and the stage where he sang with Lewis capaldi. You can really tell they are proud of Niall and make his fans feel really welcome. We had a drink, took photos, listened to his music and wrote in the guestbook. Such an amazing experience and anyone thinking of visiting definitely should. Such a beautiful place.

12/08/2025: Had the pleasure of visiting this pub on a short break to Mullingar from Derry, The bar in itself is impressive, from the outside you wouldn't believe how big it is, really clean and modern and a lovely pint of stout, the bars best attribute in the short time I was in it was the staff/owners. Ciaran is the owner I believe , through conversing we learned his grandson has the same needs as my son, who was present, he made a point of taking time to talk about it, and randomly put him up crisps and a drink on the house without saying a word, likely nothing to him but absolutely massive to us, We really felt it, his wife arrived shortly after again and struck up conversation instantly and of course acknowledged her grandson and my son, its the little personal things like this that make a bar reputable and its evidently clear from the reviews on here people feel the same. Massive thanks to Ciaran and his wife for making it memorable. Will be recommending to anyone I know visiting Mullingar

07/09/2025: Probably the best food I have had in Ireland and definitely the best Thai food I have outside of Thailand. We were beyond surprised to find this gem in Athlone. The food was so delicious and very authentic. Rachel is a super star! She is very friendly and attentive. A huge shout out to everyone in the kitchen and a young man from KL who brought us our food. KinKhao a roi maak!

02/09/2025: It was lovely to get dinner after a hard day. Hadn't been in Kilbeggan for years. I remembered Harry's to discover its an IPAS centre now. Anyway Shannon's was lovely. Very reasonable priced dinner.

It’s on a corner so chairs and tables outside for some people watching, two cute streets with colorful houses waiting for your to instagram them😉

25/08/2025: We recently had our wedding reception in Weirs. We couldn't have had a better experience from start to finish. We live locally and had a small wedding, so we decided to go with Weirs. I had eaten there before and knew the food was amazing but I couldn't get over how brilliant the day was made for us. Una met me before the big day and put me so at ease. She really went above and beyond and took any bit of pressure away from us. She did the decorations, advised me on menus and drinks and sorted absolutely everything for me. The food was 10/10 , the staff were absolutely lovely and the location couldn't have been better. The way the room was decorated for us, by Una, was beautiful and very professional. Pat took our photos as an added bonus and took my favourite one of the day. Im so happy that we decided to go to Weirs. My expectations were exceeded on the day. Im so grateful to Pat and Una for giving us the best day!

07/09/2025: This is a lovely hotel in the town of Mullingar. Very well situated. It's like a tardis. Looks small from the front, but is big inside. Foyer, bar and dining room. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Parking at rear of property is gated and feels secure. Room we had was quite small but very well equipped. We stayed one night, but if we stayed longer I would have asked for a bigger room. Breakfast was included in price and was very good. Plentiful. We ate in the bar on the evening of arrival and the food was good. Value for money and the staff where attentive. Would recommend.

17/08/2025: The pizzas were good. The staff was polite.The atmosphere was nice. You should make a reservation for the weekend.

09/08/2025: I went in there on Thursday, the staff were so kind and helpful, I got my piercing done by angel and she was amazing she talked me through every step, I genuinely didn’t feel a thing she was so quick. I didn’t even have time to react, I really do recommend getting your piercings in angel arts you won’t regret it at all!!!!!!!! Thank you so much. :)

23/08/2025: This cafe is very sweet and does the most incredible hot chocolates. The food choice is basic, but they do it really well. I got an acai bowl and my sister got a ham and cheese toastie, both delicious. You can go through the cafe to a back garden bit so it extends further than you think. Will be back again.

21/08/2025: A very unique cafe in town, lovely interior, great coffee, great food , and very friendly staff. Would highly recommend
