30/12/2025: I visited this place on 29th December at around 3:15 pm intending to order the day’s special sandwich, but my experience was very disappointing. Instead of preparing it fresh, I saw the staff member take the sandwich straight from the refrigerator. I don’t understand how a “day’s special” can be sold from a fridge rather than being freshly made. On top of that, the girl behind the counter was using the same gloves to touch her phone, handle other items, and then serve food without changing them. This is extremely unhygienic and unacceptable in a food service environment. Due to the poor hygiene practices maintained by the food handler, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this place to others. After seeing this I couldn’t even eat the wraps that I order and had to dump. Unfortunately 17 euros that I spent there went straight to trash

14/04/2026: Highly recommended Indian restaurant. We ordered three dishes, including a small mixed platter with different types of chicken, which was perfect for trying a variety of flavors. The place is very quiet and clean, and the service was excellent. The food was very good. Definitely an experience worth repeating.

A special mention to Srikar, who served us—his service was exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. His professionalism and warm attitude truly enhanced our experience. Highly recommend Spice India, and thanks again to Srikar for the great service

20/04/2026: If you’re in Athlone, you have to visit this place! The food is gorgeous, the staff are incredibly friendly ,every single one of them. they’re pet-friendly too. We stopped for lunch with our little puppy and felt so welcome from the moment we arrived. We left happy and had such a great experience. Highly recommend!

17/04/2026: Food was superb, i had steak sandwich which was the best i had in a long time and my friend had fish and chips, light crispy and fresh. Drink selection was vast, cocktails, non alcoholic, beers and lovely wines. Service was excellent! Managers was both welcoming and a perfect host, offering us all the information needed for a tourist. In conclusion, highly recommend!
