10/01/2026: Hadn't visited the cottage for a while but our last two visits have been great. Last time we were there we got the spice bag and a pizza. The chicken in the spice bag was lovely not hard crispy dried up chicken like most spice bags ive had! Was happy we asked for the sauce on the side as it could have taken from the spice bag itself! The pizzas are really good too! Not greasy or soggy like some pizzas you'd get in typical pizza joints. Would recommend!

09/09/2025: Beautiful house, perfect location, best breakfast with vegan options, kind and generous hosts. Peaceful.

06/03/2026: The food is good but the tiny portions at an expensive price spoil the whole experience. Very very mean considering 90% of the food is vegetables.

13/02/2026: I get food from here regularly and food is always lovely and fresh but when I went to pay it was 50c more than usual and I always get the same thing. I didn’t question I just paid and looked after and I was overcharged (i checked Deliveroo as well) I know it’s only small but I have found this recently around cork places they put on these little charges hoping no one will notice and it all adds up. It’s already expensive enough without adding secret charges

23/12/2025: I ordered a brownie and an americano. The brownie tasted like it was only half cooked. The coffee was just plain bad.

22/12/2025: Disappointed with our visit this morning. Barrista had zero Christmas cheer and it kind of set the tone. Got our order wrong too which didn't make things better for either of us (was corrected). Given how busy it is in town this morning, I would not be surprised if she had been left single-handed which contributed to the tone. The coffee was great though (I pop in regularly enough) so hopefully it was just the grey dreary weather getting to her. 😢

09/11/2025: Really expensive and loads of annoying teenagers inside.

17/09/2025: The girl serving behind the counter was unfriendly, as if she didn’t want to be there and didn’t want to serve us. The milk was served in it’s original 2L jug and again just thrown there almost with words to the effect, if you want some milk here you go. The toilets had just been cleaned but they never replaced the soap and the soap dispenser was completely empty. All of this when the café was practically empty and the staff had not much to do. Never going back there again.

24/01/2026: The food is lovely but being regular customer just because of taste and still getting worst service ever, each time you visit them the more worst it goes.... they are not happy at all but yes food is nice come here only have patience to see their faces but never recommended😒🙄

21/11/2025: I really enjoy coming here for coffee and toast, it’s one of my favorite spots. Recently, though, I’ve noticed things seem a bit busier than usual. There’s often just one barista serving with a queue forming, and a few tables waiting to be cleaned, which made me leave the last two times I tried to stop by. It’s still a great place with great coffee; just wanted to share in case the team might be a bit short-staffed lately.

17/11/2025: The drinks and food are really good, but from what I’ve seen, the cafe is chronically understaffed. I often see trainee baristas left on their own to deal with long queues of customers. There are lots of opportunities here to improve service. There should be a minimum of two baristas at the counter.

02/01/2026: Terrifying Security !!!! We chose this place for New Year’s Eve because we wanted to sit quietly with friends, have a few drinks, and chat. The atmosphere inside was lovely and I genuinely liked it. However, we were sitting outside while waiting for the rest of our friends to arrive. I ordered a beer, and when one of our friends arrived, we were chatting in our own language. At that point, the security guard outside told him that this was not a free house that it was his property, and that he could not sit there unless he was drinking alcohol. So our friend got up, ordered a drink, and we continued waiting and talking. One of our friends did not drink alcohol because he had to go to work later. Everyone else at the table already had drinks. Despite this, the security guard approached us and told him, “If you’re not going to drink, get out of here. You can’t sit here.” Our friend calmly explained that he wasn’t drinking because he was starting work, but the security guard rudely replied, “That’s not my problem. Get out of here, you can’t sit here.” When we questioned his behavior, he insisted he wasn’t being rude, claimed the bar was his property, and then told all of us to leave. As a result, we left without even finishing the drinks we had already ordered. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. We were simply a group of four friends who wanted to sit together, chat, and have a drink. Because of the security guard’s rude and discriminatory attitude, I will never return to this place.

21/12/2025: The bouncer Ger was incredibly rude to me and my friend. Wouldn’t want to repeat it. Wouldn’t recommend going here!

21/12/2025: Fabulous place in Cork. Our waiter could not have been nicer, the food was delicious & the restaurant was beautiful. It’s a hidden gem & we will definitely be back!!!

23/11/2025: I had a very disappointing experience at Sultan Café in Cork. The staff member who served us was rude and arrogant throughout our visit, and his behaviour felt unwelcoming and borderline discriminatory. Definitely not the kind of treatment any customer deserves. Thanks for the response — it actually proves my point better than my review ever could. Telling customers ‘do not come back again’ is shocking behaviour for a café operating in Ireland, where basic hospitality and respect are expected. Instead of addressing the issue, you doubled down with arrogance and blame. If this is how you treat people publicly, I can only imagine how you behave in person. I hope future customers see this attitude and think twice before visiting.”

27/02/2026: What's going on in here ??? 🤔 Service and food are absolutely horrendous... Within the last few months.... I am a regular customer, but something is definitely wrong!!!!!! Needs to be questioned....🤨

01/01/2026: On New Year’s Eve, we were deliberately ignored for over 10 minutes while staff happily served everyone who arrived after us. We only got any attention once we called them out on it. The service felt blatantly discriminatory — unless you’re Brazilian, don’t expect to be treated properly. The staff’s attitude was arrogant, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Easily one of the worst bar experiences I’ve had. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this place altogether.
