31/01/2025: Best staff ever! Especially Seamus whom I first met I Germany! So nice and accommodating!!!

13/04/2025: Cosy spot, lovely staff, underwhelming food. The vegan sushi I got was nice, but the ramen was really underwhelming, literally tasted like just veg stock, with thin rice noodles, a few chunks of carrot and cabbage with crispy onions on top. I've never had trouble getting vegan ramen, and usually, it will have your staple ingredients like shiitake, nori, tofu, and more depth to the broth. Can't speak for non vegan dishes here. Again, the vegan sushi was lovely, but if you're looking for vegan ramen, this isn't the place.

07/04/2025: Popped in for an early coffee & scone with my Mum. Quiet busy place as always. Warm welcome from the team members. Excellent service. Delicious scones, butter & preserves. Pity cream is not fresh cream rather than tined cream.. Overall experience wonderful. Look for to returning they always do superb lunches & dinners too.

04/01/2025: We tried Eddie Farrels lamb shank and chicken masala, food is great. Crowded restaurant, atmosphere is ok. Porsions are above avarage. Efficient service with square porsions. I will visit again.

30/03/2025: Had a great experience here. Was told it would be a 20-minute wait going in, and it ended up being about 5. You do your own ordering which has some advantages and disadvantages but overall the food was great and the staff was friendly!

02/03/2025: Just very disappointing. Food is totally bland and very overpriced, staff seem embarrassed to be serving it. Having once been a very sought-after reservation in Cork, I can't believe that anyone now would come here more than once - and then only out of curiosity. €100 gone rapidly on basic student food; didn't stay around to check out desserts, we were happy to leave after 45 minutes.

23/01/2025: We ate here for a special occasion recently and didn't feel it was good value, really, or even very nice food. We had 3 courses, and the edamame beans we got as a starter were the only real veg we saw. I asked when ordering whether we should order veg on the side for our main course and were told no, but the plates were lacking. My main course was Kuro Curry - the black curry sauce was not very interesting but rich and drowned the entire plate so every bite tasted just like the first I was bored of it before I was half way through. The accompanying fermented bell pepper (yes, a veg!) was tiny in portion, less than a garnish, less than a forkful not enough to impart any flavour over the curry. My gubbeen smoked cheesecake was interesting but not really pleasing and not sweet enough to be described as dessert (throw a bit of ham in and it would have made a nice lunch). We ate using a gift voucher so blew the last of it on some warm saki which was nice but as others have noted, seems overpriced. All in all, expensive and disappointing.

18/02/2025: The best Chinese take away in Cork. Really good Chinese take away, food always arrives piping hot and they used good meat in their dishes. Curry , satay and Kung Pao chicken have been great. Really nice family run business.

20/12/2024: Beautiful food on the top floor in the calmer section of Brown Thomas. The server Kelly was cheering everyone up from the long waite in the que.she was fast and very polite.

02/04/2025: It’s a night club very well known by the cork people and foreigners too, journey the week with live music but with dj afterwards, you not be disappointed if you go there and I’m sure you’ll have a brilliant night.

31/12/2024: I visited Sliced in Ballincollig with one other person after hearing positive opinions from people who had their lunchtime sandwiches. I was more than impressed with what we got. I knew Sliced since they first opened in Cork city centre as a pizza/pasta restaurant. I usually have pizza for dinner and when I heard they offered good sandwiches, I thought to visit at lunchtime to see what it was like. The site in Ballincollig is roomy and bright. The staff were very kind and found a table for us immediately on arrival. It was not busy at the time we arrived, around 1.30pm on a Thursday. The menu is the same as what is on their website. We ordered the Guac Chicken Wrap and Chicken Caesar Wrap. Both were served with salad and tortilla crisps. Soup or chips were available as side orders. Both dishes tasted amazing. The reason I am not giving the food five stars is because they should have made it clear to customers that there is a salad and tortillas with the order. I was close to ordering a side salad but happy I did not since it was already on the plate. The price for both sandwiches was just over €20 which is not bad given the serving size and presentation. I would recommend Sliced to anyone dining out for lunch in Ballincollig.

26/03/2025: The food is always amazing and very decent portions. There are fantastic specials that change regularly, the meet and greet is always warm and welcoming and there’s a great atmosphere. Having been eating there for the past 7 years, we have noticed a decline in the service lately. Not enough to make us not go but enough for us to notice and a easy enough sort to bring the rating back up to 5 for service.

22/02/2025: Used the new golf simulator upstairs and was a great experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful in setting up and explaining how to use the simulator. Good was brilliant, fresh and hot! Again when asked staff brought extra dips etc.
