The best restaurants in Cork city council

03/04/2025: A hidden treasure in the city to grab a cup of coffee with a friend. Nestled in amongst the small shops at Winthrop arcade, Cocoa is a fantastic independent coffee shop to support in a Cork City.

08/01/2025: Always meant to visit this café and safe to say it will be the first and last. The café is cramped, tables outside but it's shared with another popular café and it's within a narrow hallway so it's not appealing. Café has an upcharge for dairy alternatives/plant drinks, predatory to those with dietary sensitivities. No toilet facilities on site. They claim their hot chocolates are made with 'real chocolate' but it was powdered chocolate. Gritty after taste and it was nothing special, for the price point we were expecting more. Tables were dirty, with some patrons clearing tables to get a table to sit at. Service staff were busy and were kind enough to bring out our beverages outside the shop as there isn't sufficient space to wait inside.

10/04/2025: The place was clean and the girl behind the bar gave excellent service being able to serve everyone very fast and at the same time, she also knew how to work the customers having all at the bar chatting to her and each other as if it was a big meet up of all old friends. Great night out and would highly recommend.

04/07/2025: Absolute kip of a place, stunk so bad and awful atmosphere. Don’t even know where you’re going in there it’s an absolute free for all.

24/05/2025: I used to enjoy coming here for pizza . it was reliably good, fresh, and full of flavour. Sadly, that’s no longer the case. Over the past few visits, the quality has noticeably gone downhill. The crust is often dry, toppings and overall the flavour just isn't what it used to be. The sauce on the pizza and cheese quality has gotten so bad. It’s disappointing to see a place that once had such consistent quality slip like this. I really hope they turn things around, but for now, it’s not somewhere I’d rush back to.

16/06/2025: Ristorante tipicamente nord europeo, senza tante apparecchiature, ma con cibo molto buono. Abbiamo mangiato fish&Chips, ben fatto, fritto bene, non unto, ma croccante e leggero. Ottimo anche l'irish coffe. Le porzioni sono abbondanti, tant'è che ci siamo limitati al solo main course, saltando apetizer e dessert. Prezzi nella norma della tipologia di ristorante. Consigliato

07/07/2025: Was walking in but a bouncer who was smoking not even at the door called after me and my boyfriend. He then pointed to all of me and said I wasn’t dressed well enough. The establishment itself seemed pretty empty as well. Wouldn’t waste my time here!

02/07/2025: Great spot, door staff friendly. Band comes on at 12 and they were REALLY GOOD. ‘Two time Polka’ have a DJ in one section, live music out back. Really good experience after a gig in the marquee.

26/05/2025: Love what they’re trying for here and hope they can make it work but won’t be eating here again until they deep clean their prep space. You can literally see the grime from standing outside the counter in the queue. Just wiping down surface areas doesn’t cut it when you’re working in the food industry guys.

20/05/2025: I had the vegan rolls and absolutely loved it! Everything was super fresh and delicious. The place is clean, well-organized, and the staff are really friendly. Highly recommend it!

18/06/2025: In this video, the Eason stationery store appears, which is very large and has everything and more. The population of Cork all know this stationery store. The quality is very good and very serious. The workers are all very helpful. This stationery store changed location not long ago because it was located across the road near the SAVOY construction site. It probably moved for reasons only the management knows, but it is much better. They made a good choice: books, notebooks, pencils, everything for children and adults for school and other things like diaries. Very good indeed. 100% guarantee.

22/06/2025: Lovely place. Dog friendly corner, and large dog free area to suit all. Delicious choice of sandwiches, quiches, sausage rolls etc as well as sweets. Had the Brie and Bacon ciabatta and apple pie after both of which I'd highly recommend. Very friendly staff too.

17/03/2025: Ordered a delivery tonight online paid in app and told a 50 min wait on confirmation took an hour and 55 mins. Food dropped on doorstep and delivery guy in his car 10 seconds after knocking on the door. Food was luke warm at best and chips cold , wanton & spring rolls crushed and broken . Won't be goung back anytime soon.
