The best restaurants in Cork city council

27/09/2026: ordered a dippers and wedges combo and a garlic bread, got home 20 mjns away and discovered there were no dippers, im not driving back, no point in calling the restaurant at this stage. dippers and wedges aren't cheap either, I feel ripped off.

21/09/2026: Fast food is fast food, but comparing to other brands, Papa Johnes is fairly tasty and good value.

12/07/2026: Not recommended if it’s lunch time and you’re vegetarian. This place came in as recommended so we went there. They were out of breakfast options (at least the vegetarian ones) and out of four items in lunch menu, not one was vegetarian. And it’s weird as it’s 2026! Having said that, the staff was good. Limited seating space and most were takeout. ----------------------------------- Response to Owner's Comment: I didn't see B&D competing with Circle K, but if that's who you're competing with, then sure! Ratings are based on overall experiences, and it's okay if you don't agree.

13/10/2026: Wasn't that impressed had to ask staff to clear our table as it hadn't been cleared after the previous customers. This is often the case. Also not much choice of food at 15:00 on a Friday. We have decided to try somewhere else next time. As this wasn't our first time here.

10/09/2026: Very clean and tidy, efficient and polite staff, and a good range of items to choose from. Plenty of seating both inside and outside in the courtyard, but the nearby road can be noisy.

20/10/2026: It was just average. The food is not very good so I wouldn't go again. The views if you are near the window are lovely.

24/10/2026: We ate burrito bowls here. You can choose from a good variety of rice, meats, cheese, salads, pickles etc. The food was absolutely delicious and the place has huge area to sit down both downstairs and upstairs. We are going to definitely return.

17/10/2026: We were on the tail end of 3 1/2 weeks in Ireland and needed a break from traditional restaurants so this was a great place for take away after enjoying music at nearby Sin E' pub. We both had fresh burrito bowls. So good.

21/06/2026: This is one of the hidden gems in Cork. It was a place that I was recommended by a friend. I had never heard of the place. When I went it has a chill atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable. A must visit for a nice glass of vino.

12/10/2026: Firstly lots of people confused with your ordering system, just put up a sign asking people to take menu from counter and order when ready. Second if there is a que waiting to order stop chatting with your friends. Third be nice it the chicken was warm in toasted sandwich

13/10/2026: What a great little pub! Really enjoyed The Cork Arms. Such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, full of character and a great place to stop for a drink and soak up the local vibe. Exactly the kind of place I love stumbling across on my travels. Would happily pop in again!

31/05/2026: Brilliant staff and atmosphere in this shop. A special mention to Shane, who was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful. He greeted customers with a smile and went out of his way to make sure everyone was looked after. It’s always nice to come across staff who genuinely care about providing great service.

10/06/2026: The Imperial is an old style hotel but has retained its lustre and offers a great stay in the centre of cork. My room was a little cold but I worked out how to add some heat with the AC unit and there was only one small window. At £260 per night for two nights and a ‘premier’ double I thought it might be better appointed. Two highlights are the beautifully refurbished Fitzgeralds Bar which is wonderfully opulent and the great tea/coffee cafe called Lafayettes which is equally opulent, table service, old fashioned tea and cake venue just inside the hotel entrance. All staff have been wonderful

08/06/2026: I recently visited The Imperial Hotel for afternoon tea. The hotel and restaurant itself are beautiful, and the ambiance is lovely. The service during our afternoon tea was excellent, the staff were polite and very professional. Unfortunately, the savory selection was disappointing. The sandwiches were very small, quite bland, and the bread didn't taste fresh. Because of the food quality and portion sizes, it didn't feel like good value for money. The setting and hospitality are wonderful, but the food needs improvement.
