29/05/2025: My favourite Chinese Takeaway. I have ordered from them countless times and they have only ever made one mistake which they corrected immediately.

15/05/2025: The food is so delicious and reminded me back the food at my home country malaysia. Best Chinese food in cork. The chef itself is malaysian and the business is run by his family. The wife who takes the order is so friendly and always recommends nice dishes. All the dishes are so yummy. 5 start for the food Will definitely recommend the food here to anyone that love malaysian food. Should definitely try they food. The service is very fast and they are friendly.

28/06/2025: The hotel is spectacular, from both the outside and inside, it feels like a living museum with the history in this building, the room was great for a one night stay, highly recommended, good location just metres from St Patrick’s Street for those shopping in brown Thomas Ect.

28/06/2025: This was the first time I stayed in a hotel room without a window. There was a window, but it was painted black, and it opened only a few inches into a tiny air shaft the size of a chimney. Ridiculously overpriced for a room without a window. On the plus side, the common areas were nice.

25/06/2025: Akira is a really nice spot modern, simple, and relaxed. The place looks clean and stylish. We went for dinner and shared some sushi, rolls, and the miso soup. Everything was fresh and tasty, not too fancy but done really well. The staff were friendly and chill, just the right amount of attention. It’s a great place if you want good Japanese food without it being too formal. Not super cheap, but fair for what you get. I’d definitely go again.

09/07/2025: Started off great, our food was really good, our waitress was great to start with but must have been busy or distracted. We asked for wine and had to remind her, same for coffees at the end. A minor complaint, the ambience and pleasantness of the place and staff was excellent.

19/04/2025: Great food and top service! One of the best spots in Cork. Always very welcoming and nice setting too. I do think the menu could be expanded though, could add burger or pasta maybe.

11/04/2025: Big sizes, delicious food, friendly staff. Prices are a bit high (around 15€) but reasonable considering what you're getting.

12/04/2025: The Southern Star is a lovely little bar. A small front pub area with some secluded tables, an area towards the back with ledges against the wall, a pool table (with terrible cues,) and a nice smoking area sitting above the South Link. It’s a little on the expensive side but what you pay for the booze is more than made up for with the atmosphere and setting. They were happy for me to taste the wine (a Pinot noir) while a woman I met there that night was only delighted to let me taste her rosé. Both wines were superb and it’s telling the people were relaxed enough straight from my arrival to share their drinks. They had the Manchester United game on the TV and I’m sure they show the rugby as well. I was hungry and asked for some Scampi Fries but they didn’t have them. Instead they gave me a free bag of Snax. Some friends (one a Jameson drinker) are interested in going, too, and I told them the burgers looked exceptional value. The only questions are when the food truck is open, if they do chips, and the whiskey drinker wanted to know if you get chips with your burger? I think she wants to dip into her partner’s grub... A warm and cosy bar — with space for a smoke if needed — it’s a pub I’d love to take my nearly seventy year old mother to to watch a Munster game, or my buddies who need a break from their kids (or they could bring their kids knowing it’s a fine family friendly place.) Me Mam would definitely love it and my buddies already do; as did I on my night in there. Patti Smith and Black Sabbath playing on the speakers was just the icing on the cake, me bopping away! I’ll be back, if they’ll have me!

18/05/2025: ¡Compré un café y un croissant en esta panadería! Hay un montón de productos, pero es más como una pastelería que una panadería! ¡Realmente no tiene una selección de productos de panadería! Aunque esta es mi opinión porque vengo de otro país y la panadería es completamente diferente. Como piroški, buhtli con queso, salazones, pretzels.

02/07/2025: Had breakfast here last weekend, it was delicious! I had the mushrooms and my partner had the avacado and both were extremely tasty! Would recommend.

18/06/2025: Good food but….. Top notch food and service. Only problem I had was the way the owner spoke to the staff. He was very snappy and made us uncomfortable and you could see on the faces of the staff, it wasn’t his first time acting like that. The staff were amazing, so welcoming and polite. Whilst the food is wonderful and well presented it’s not a place I’ll go back to again due to the owners behaviour

21/07/2025: Slow wait times in the marina market and inconsistent food options with what you can get in town. Extremely disappointed and tried to overcharge my friend who had to ask her to break down the pricing before realising she was overcharging. Cork city burrito and blues is good but don’t waste your money in marina market

08/07/2025: The Mardyke is a great place to have a fun night out in Cork. It has pool, bowling, an arcade, and so much more to offer. I come here the most often for pool, but I've also participated in karaoke pub quiz nights which are so fun. It's always a great time, the facilities are all clean and up-to-date, and it has a great atmosphere. The staff is great as well; Hayley is the best and always makes sure you're well taken care of!

02/06/2025: Visited the Mardyke Entertainment Complex as part of a stag weekend, and we all had a great time! The variety of activities kept everyone entertained. The food was good, with options that catered to everyone's tastes. The staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring our group had everything we needed. Overall, it was a fantastic experience that added a memorable highlight to our weekend. Highly recommend for group outings or anyone looking for a fun-filled evening in Cork!

29/12/2024: Could be a great place cause the food is good but the stench coming from the bathrooms needs to be sorted. Staff must be so used to it they don't get it anymore. A good clean is needed. We were hungry with kids so stayed. Food was lovely.
