The best restaurants in Cork

04/09/2025: So many savory options! Best Italian I have had since going vegan. Got there, given an hr wait, went nexdoor til she called us over earlier than expected, and she waited a little extra while we finished our pints. Kind service staff. Loved the fresh ingredients. My pesto ravioli with sweet potatoes was fantastic. The linguine were perfectly al dente and we could see them being made. Saved room for dessert, the strawberry hill was delicious. All so perfectly balanced, really. Try the appetizers! We got the socca farinata. My Omni bf and I (vegan) thought this was some of the best food we've had. Cozy, romantic, welcoming, & affordable, too.

14/09/2025: Went down for the sounds from a safe harbour festival and had a delicious pint of Beamish while enjoying live music

11/09/2025: Went along for the trad session this evening supposedly from 6pm, hoping to play, but unfortunately it had been cancelled so no tunes fix for me. Not quite sure why- one or two other bemused musicians floating around. Nice enough pub otherwise though.

06/03/2026: Ordered a Lamb Vindaloo, which is always arisk as they’re usually nowhere near hot enough in Irish Indian restaurants. This was delicious! Hot , spicy but full of flavour.

05/03/2026: We've eaten here a few times, the food has been consistently delicious and the prices are reasonable. We really appreciate all the vegetarian / vegan options and how lovely the owners are.

21/02/2026: Always when I am in cork I visit this wonderful pub. Very kind staff, amazing beers (one of the best Guiness in cork) and very homely environment.

08/03/2026: My family and I had an amazing experience at the spa in Fota Island Resort. From the facilities to the treatment itself, I cannot fault anything. Amazing, and we'll definitely be back.

27/02/2026: 2nd time to stay at foto and I have to say I really enjoyed both times the place is beautiful and the staff are all so friendly but I have to give a special mention to Jose in the Amber lounge he goes above and beyond for people he is such a lovely friendly man and very professional

04/01/2026: Really nice place to grab a pint and they seem to have some kind of agreement with the local Japanese place, Miyazaki, so you can have your drink and bring the food in from just across the street. Service is excellent, particularly the dude with the beard (might be the manager), Beamish is really good and that’s coming from a Murphys guy. The best part though is the “no phones” rule. Place could be a bit cleaner but aside from that it’s great.

27/08/2025: Nachos and the curry are both very good, got a few sample of the Kombucha as well which was delicious.

25/08/2025: Delicious vegan place, I had a broth with seitan and pickled vegetables.

25/02/2026: Really lovely helpful staff, the girl with the bun and glasses at the counter had so much time for customers, she really made an effort with every person who came through the door

06/02/2026: 1hr wait for a take away seems excessive.. People from the nearby bars come in and order and go back to the bar for their pint.. just seems unfair that this place is acting like a kitchen for the bars around.. can’t argue with it but is annoying

31/01/2026: Lovely atmosphere mixed age customers, found it a bit cold at the start but got warmer as the place filled up. We had a great time there and the food was just perfect. Grate place for a girls/lads night out no loud music a place for talk.

06/01/2026: Sober Lane is a fantastic spot with a lively but relaxed atmosphere. The food is really good, especially the comfort-style dishes, and the drinks selection is solid. It’s a great place to meet friends, enjoy a meal, or unwind with a few drinks. Friendly staff and a nice vibe make it a place worth coming back to. 🍻🍔
