25/10/2025: Forde’s Pub – an absolute gem in Cork! Stopped in and immediately loved the atmosphere — authentic, welcoming, and full of local charm. The staff were friendly and quick with a smile, the pints were perfect, and the music and conversation made it feel like a true Irish experience. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, chat, and feel right at home. A must-visit when in Cork!

12/10/2025: I'll keep this one quick. 5 Stars all around, fast, friendly and delicious. First night of our 8 day trip around Ireland and the hotel front desk raved about Son of a Bun. They were not wrong, we didn't need anything fancy, just good vibes and tasty burger and prefect fries to go along. When in Cork get the double patty with cheese!

16/10/2025: Excellent food and service. The cuisine is quite mixed, with no specific theme, but they play very well with flavors, offering excellent dishes with excellent service.

25/10/2025: Owner stole my seat while gone to get drinks for me and a friend and threatened to kick us out if we didn't comply. Don't come here on a busy night.

20/09/2025: Restaurant has nice decor and good atmosphere, but food was severely lacking in flavour and quality. Chashu ramen noodles were too soft and the soup lacked flavour and depth. Ajiso platter was not worth the price. We asked for water and was told we could not get water due to it being yellow that day and if we wanted to drink something, we would have had to pay for it. And right when we were about to eat, they showed us the yellow water. Is the water not used for all the cooking and washing of dishes? If the restaurant has an issue, it should have been closed that day. We had checked out the reviews beforehand, so confused about this overall very disappointing experience.

08/09/2025: Fantastic place - we we went early on a Monday evening so was quiet Joe the waiter was amazing and made us felt very welcome The food was incredible - we had sushi and steak and garlic rice We will go back

20/10/2025: Staying over night in a nearby hotel and popped in for dinner. Mary our server was tremendous, she made us feel welcome which made the experience that much better. The food was also very good. Would definitely recommend!

09/10/2025: The atmosphere is incredible, the bar has a pet-friendly garden which makes the environment even cooler, a great place to go with friends and their punt is simply wonderful.

14/10/2025: Old Rustic bar in South Main Street, the City Center of Cork. Across from the old Beamish and Crawford Brewary, there's a lot of history in the area. There's a younger crowd frequenting it now, and they have some seating outside. The staff are nice as is the atmosphere.

07/10/2025: Nice pub. Good music. Not the best beer selection. Used to have real candles on each table with wax spilling over the bottle they were in, now changed for fake candles. It's a pity, it was part of what made it a cosy pub.

08/11/2025: It’s the little things that count and In many of these Fota are failing. One of our party ordered a coffee and asked for a biscuit to accompany it but was told you can’t have a biscuit until after 4- how stupid is that! At dinner steaks were only offered ho share for 2 people- crazy! In general the food was fine but not fantastic and certainly not great value for money. If you charge top prices you need to deliver top class food! Three times during our one night stay the room key failed to open the door which required another trip to reception for a new key. For a 5 star hotel this is simply not acceptable Fota resort needs to up its game and certainly improve its F/ B offering so I’m afraid it’s only 3 stars from me

22/10/2025: I was served a glass of water in a plastic cup which I believe is less sustainable than if it were glass. Music quite lively, maybe not the best background for conversation or working. BUT food was great and service very warm and friendly.
