09/12/2025: Unfortunately the set menu left a lot to be desired as a vegetarian. I recently attended a Christmas party here and was dissatisfied to see that the main course options included six fish and meat dishes while only having a cauliflower steak available for vegetarians and vegans. The cocktails were incredible and everyone else in my party thoroughly enjoyed their food but the lack of a second option for vegetarians was disappointing (especially when there was two options for poultry, fish and beef) Maybe the a la carte menu would be more inclusive but for anyone thinking of booking a party with a set menu, If there is a vegetarian or vegan in the group I would go elsewhere.

03/12/2025: Beautiful decorated venue for our Christmas night out. Staff were attentive and provided a wonderful service. Everyone enjoyed the food and the variety at the table.

08/11/2025: It’s the little things that count and In many of these Fota are failing. One of our party ordered a coffee and asked for a biscuit to accompany it but was told you can’t have a biscuit until after 4- how stupid is that! At dinner steaks were only offered ho share for 2 people- crazy! In general the food was fine but not fantastic and certainly not great value for money. If you charge top prices you need to deliver top class food! Three times during our one night stay the room key failed to open the door which required another trip to reception for a new key. For a 5 star hotel this is simply not acceptable Fota resort needs to up its game and certainly improve its F/ B offering so I’m afraid it’s only 3 stars from me

14/10/2025: Old Rustic bar in South Main Street, the City Center of Cork. Across from the old Beamish and Crawford Brewary, there's a lot of history in the area. There's a younger crowd frequenting it now, and they have some seating outside. The staff are nice as is the atmosphere.

07/10/2025: Nice pub. Good music. Not the best beer selection. Used to have real candles on each table with wax spilling over the bottle they were in, now changed for fake candles. It's a pity, it was part of what made it a cosy pub.

09/12/2025: Nice and pleasant place, the waitress was very friendly and the chai latte was very good 🤗

20/11/2025: Cool café right on the River Lee with some outdoor tables. Delicious, handmade pastries and excellent coffee. Friendly service behind the counter. It was very noisy during our visit because a large group of young tourists was also in the very small space... but that shouldn't be the norm!

17/12/2025: We booked it months ago for dinner before the panto in the opera house for 10 people. We booked it in person in the restaurant. When we went there was no reservation and they couldn't go anything for us. We were left with no booking for any dinner, hungry kids and just very disappointed. We couldn't get any other restaurant the week before Christmas with such short notice and a big group of us. Very disappointing!

13/12/2025: A must visit. The breakfast was great for a family of 5 with good variety. Been there for dinner before and the wings are awesome.

06/12/2025: We visited here a few evenings while we were visiting the area. Seems like a low key great place for a few pints. They stop serving food pretty early though.

25/11/2025: Super spot, book to avoid disappointment. Great service, fantastic people running the place and top grub. Highly recommended.... Recommend the wings and burger.... Onion rings are top too.

28/12/2025: This was an amazing experience with delicious Turkish kebabs accompanied by our best drink Raki. We would definitely come back whenever we are in Cork.

26/12/2025: Our cab driver recommended this place when we visited from out of town. We tried both the meze and raki and lamb skewers that were on the board for the day. Everything was flavorful, delicious and cooked to perfection. Wish I lived in town so I could eat here more often!

07/12/2025: Had dinner for two with no reservation and we got a table straight away! Food was delicious and so much to choose from! Would definitely return if Im back in Cork!

24/11/2025: The acoustics are terrible - you leave with hives from the noise. But the food is good and the staff is great. So a very mixed experience.

20/11/2025: Write this more sincere: “Less than average experience. From the start, our waiter was running around like he only had several more minutes to live. He made us feel rushed with his scampering around. Twice, we had to ask other wait staff for assistance and both times they were very attentive. The “southern fried Chicken Wings” tasted warmed up and flavorless. My wife ordered a medium filet that showed up well past done. The presentation was bush league and we sent it back. The second pass was slightly better; edible. I ordered the lamb. The lamb was cooked perfectly; though under seasoned. I probably would have had no problem with the lamb had the other issues I mentioned were absent. To sum it up, the reputation this restaurant has, was absolutely not our experience.
