28/03/2024: I've heard a lot of talk about Jacobs on the Mall and after a recent dinner there with some friends and colleagues, I'm very happy to say that they're the talk of the town for a reason. This was probably the best dining experience I've had so far in Cork! The food was excellent, the portion sizes generous and the quality top-notch! Some of my colleagues are still raving about that dinner today! Also, I feel like I need to give a shout-out to the ambience. Too many restaurants in Cork feel small and cramped, so having a space that's spacious, with high ceilings, is a welcome change. The only fly in the ointment was that service came across as a bit rushed in the beginning, but that changed quickly and honestly, the overall experience was not really any worse because of it. It's an upscale place, with prices to match, but definitely worth the money!

28/03/2024: Really good hearty thai food after a long day of site seeing hit the spot. I got the red curry fried dish and it was really good. Fresh veggies, chicken, and spicy sauce. Service was great too. Call ahead and book a spot / make a reservation. This place gets busy... for good reason.

28/02/2024: Nice food, decent prices. Chelsea’s (waitress) service was so friendly; she brings a nice and warm energy to the place. Nice to know the meat is Halāl here too!

20/03/2024: Warm and smiling welcome. Excellent beers and pizza. We had a lovely evening with a little Celtic concert. Do not miss.

22/03/2024: A bit on the expensive side for what it offers particularly their sandwiches. Food is nice but there's better quality and value to be had in a similar vain. Their baked goods looked fantastic when I was in but I didn't purchase so I can't comment fairly

14/03/2024: It was my first time here with my wife and son, and we felt so welcomed. We asked for a hot chocolate for my son, and it was brought out in a small cup with marshmallows at a perfect temperature - he couldn't get enough of it. My wife and I can't wait to book dinner here for some lovely Saturday's summer evening and drink well into the night.

03/03/2024: It was my first time in the newer Filter on Friday and I got some of the “Healthy made delicious” and a decaf flat white with soya milk. Very nice and staff was helpful. I returned yesterday and they had none of the cake I wanted but told me they would have one in the original location so I went there and I got my caramel slice! Staff were very helpful and nice both locations Friday and Saturday, made my day. Thanks ☺️

29/03/2024: Lovely, friendly place. Always great music being played. Had a nice chat about the music of Julia Holter, which isn't something I get to do often. When I'm in Cork, I always make a point of stopping here. There aren't too many places like this around anymore. Cherish it!

04/04/2024: Have you ever taken a bite of a burger and wanted to cry actual tears of joy at how good it was ? This was my experience in Son of a Bun. Staff were great too, can imagine it's the best burger in Cork.

04/04/2024: Enjoyed a lovely meal here. The service, food and atmosphere all made for a most enjoyable experience. The nibbles starter had amongst other dishes a really tasty hake dip also pleased to say the chicken was free range. Will return and would recommend to friends, etc.

03/04/2024: We had dinner for two at Jacques restaurant. It was absolutely excellent! We had asparagus and mushrooms as a starter, lamb and hake as a main, followed by chocolate and salted caramel tart and medjool as dessert. Every single course blew us away, really. The wines that were offered were excellent too. The servers was extremely professional friendly and personable. Terrific evening. Really recommend this restaurant!
