23/05/2025: No wonder it’s called lean . They have no food ! Went up there at 11.30. Breakfast was finished. Ok . And lunch didn’t start until 1 . I asked if they had anything and she pointed to a glass case of crusty looking biscuits. She was a sulky woman with long dark hair and glasses. Rude and ignorant. I wouldn’t bother going there . Awful place. Went around the corner to bel cibo? Lovely staff and lovely food . Lean bean is mean !
22/03/2025: The place has a lovely atmosphere with nice music, and the coffee is very good. The food is tasty, but the portions are extremely small. What really put me off was the serving style—despite dining in, everything came in disposable packaging: plastic forks and spoons, small plastic containers, and even my breakfast was served in a paper cup. For the price, I expected better presentation and a more sustainable approach. It’s just too expensive for such tiny portions in single-use packaging.

12/04/2025: Best bar I've ever been to. Pool table, excellent service, and amazing pizza (perfect NY style pizza). I've been at Harlaxton for 3 months, and it's the best pub I've had while I've been here. I highly recommend it.

Service is absolutely dreadful.
No management whatsoever.Staff spend their time chatting to each other or on their phones,not interested in work or customers, who ultimately pay their salary.
Food is only ok too and usually cold by the time it eventually arrives to your table .
A total joke of a place

Also tried the taco crab - wouldn’t recommend it. It didn’t taste that good.
Totally spent 33€ on both the items.

07/04/2025: Asked for a flat white. Was handed a latte or cappuccino, when i queried it i was told they only do take away flat whites as a large size. Ridiculous. To top it off the coffee was bitter and over heated.

18/05/2025: Small pub with very helpful and friendly staff. The atmosphere created by the style of the place and the duo performing there that night gave this bar a unique charm. Music, meat, and beer lovers, this is the place to go!
14/05/2025: I had some fantastic ribs with cheesey macaroni. The ribs were cooked to perfection and almost melted in my mouth. I also had a delicious brownie with fudge sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. They also have some cocktails and I tried the Bison Hard Lemonade which tasted really good.
They are going for a bit of a rustic look and it works. You feel comfortable straight away. At the start of my visit there there were only one person managing both the bar and restaurant part of the place. Despite this the service was fast and very friendly. If they were feeling stressed, I know I would, it didn't show.
I'll happily come back for more ribs and hard lemonade

20/05/2025: Unpleasant experience. The open buffet system for €13.50 per person for 40 minutes sounds attractive at first glance, but the reality was different. The staff seemed unfriendly and watched guests critically while they ate. Despite the open buffet system, the amount of food was rather small, especially the meat dishes, which consisted mainly of bones and fat. The atmosphere was unpleasant, and the value for money was not right. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant.

15/10/2024: Really nice brunch here, food came quickly and was super filling. I was surprised that they only had filter coffee but it was also quite tasty so no issues. Prices do let them down as I was really shocked to be charged €4 for each small cup of black coffee, that is more than you would pay for a cappuccino or latte in some places. I would still come back to try something else as the food was really good! But the price of the coffee left a sour taste in my mouth, €4 for a tiny cup of black coffee was a surprise and not nice to feel you have been ripped off.
