23/08/2025: I recently had a family celebration at woodruff. Colm and his staff were exceptional, the food was wonderful and the restaurant is bright and airy. Everything was 10/10. The sunday roast is a highlight.

Sparks Bistro is undeniably a beautiful place—inside, it's elegant and thoughtfully designed, creating an upscale atmosphere that really makes for a special evening out.
However, I've noticed a shift over time: the portion sizes have gotten noticeably smaller, while prices have remained high, which makes the value feel less satisfying than it once was. It's tempting to go for the ambiance, but it feels like you're paying more for the décor than the meal.
All that said, if you're after a visually impressive spot and don't mind spending a bit more, Sparks still delivers on atmosphere. Just be prepared for smaller servings that may not meet your expectations for the price.

We visited at lunchtime and were served by a very friendly older gentleman.
He made us a delicious Irish coffee 😋
There's also a lovely, cozy outdoor area.
In the evening, we had a small platter of finger food 👌🏼
25/07/2025: Downstairs is the sports bar and upstairs is a restaurant. The atmosphere is completely different from downstairs and perhaps a little less cozy, but the delicious food more than makes up for it! I've never had such a delicious hamburger. The Asian dishes are also amazing!! The host is incredibly friendly and helpful. The gluten-free food is also delicious.

24/08/2025: I wouldn't recommend a room here for a function. Changed the agreed prices several times. Tiny room for €250 with not one single fan in it. Everyone was melted, and I spent the majority of my niece's baptism event outside. Food was pretty good, and the waitress was lovely.

26/08/2025: The food & cocktails here are absolutely delicious. We had the tequeños to start which were to-die-for. I had the cachapa for my main which was so unique and like nothing I’d ever eaten before in the best way. It combined sweet and savoury flavours masterfully.
Service was good and they have a lovely covered patio area at the back. Only negative was the metal seats were extremely uncomfortable.
25/08/2025: It is one of my favorite places in Dublin and it depends on the cook sometimes the arepas are 10/10 and sometimes 7/10!
There are times when you can't catch it all and it falls out! I love that the portions are large (since for an arepa it's very expensive) but they need to work on putting it together since it's hard to eat!
I recommend that they stop raising the prices on arepas that are so cheap to make and vary the menu so they can make money!

24/08/2025: My 4 girls and myself enjoyed a lot the delicious pizzas (they are not stingy with the toppings!) and very tasty ice-creams. A very nice service. I really recommend that restaurant. We are leaving quite far from Cabinteely but my daughter really wants to come back!

15/08/2025: I've ate a lot of Irish breakfasts in my time but the in L'Vie Cafe has to rate right up there.
The food was cooked to order and the portion was great and for €13.50 with coffee or tea included is probably the best deal in Dublin.
I would advise anyone wanting a real Irish breakfast to visit L'Vie you won't regret it.

23/08/2025: They were able to accommodate me without a booking on a Friday evening which was great. I had a nice meal here. There are several gluten-free options on the menu that are suitable for coeliacs and others that can be adapted.

IT es un gran lugar para reunirse con amigos, familiares y un indulto de bienvenida con colegas de trabajo durante la semana ocupada. La comida es siempre fresca y deliciosa. He disfrutado de todo, desde desayuno completo/hachís mexicano (yum) , hasta tortitas o sándwiches a la hora de comer. Nunca me ha decepcionado y siempre estoy encantado de presentar el lugar a otro amigo. Comida muy recomendable, personal amable y de buen humor, ambiente encantador!
