Guinness Open Gate Brewery
Dublin
09/06/2026: An absolute gem of a Brewery/Museum. Gained a lot of insights into the making of Guinness. The tour was well structured and it ends with a lovely pint at the bar on highest floor. Amazing food served at the restaurants as well.
08/06/2026: Cool and good ! Food was good ! Beer is “ British type beer” (you like it or not :-))

AGAVE DUBLIN
Dublin
25/07/2026: Amazing food! Really enjoyed the Al pastor and Cochinita tacos.
14/07/2026: For my taste—though that's not saying much—the food was a bit too spicy. Of course, that's to be expected when eating at a Mexican restaurant. The quality of the food was still very good. The service was very friendly and unobtrusive. From ordering to receiving the food, it only took a few minutes.
The restaurant was rather small, but there were quite a few customers.

Chequer Lane by Jamie Oliver
Dublin
07/07/2026: It was very warm inside. The decor was as expected for Jamie’s restaurant. The fish and chips were tasty. The Chicken Caesar salad was huge.
We ordered dessert, mine was the peach crumble. The waitress set it in front of me and walked away and I reached for it to pull it closer to me by the handles of the dish and badly burnt my fingers. I had to leave the table to run cold water over my fingers. The waitress guided me and said she was sorry for not warning me. I was shocked to find the bill fully intact when it arrived minutes later. Disappointing.
05/07/2026: Great food and service best fish in town

02/08/2026: Lovely food. Nice place. I had a Massaman Curry, he had Singapore noodles. Both very nice. The Singapore noodles were the best of the two. Would definitely recommend for nice Thai Food. €60 total without any drinks or starters so make of that what you will. The staff are very nice and accommodating. We arrived half hour earlier than booked with no issues. Toilets were a bit smelly but that’s toilets for you I suppose 😂

La Cocina Cuevas
Dublin
20/07/2026: Fantastic. Food was delicious and in comparison to some locations prices were reasonable and not overly expensive. Staff were friendly and the little huts that serve as the seating areas were clean and tidy. Worth knowing that it’s BYOB. Will definitely be back.
19/07/2026: Definitely the best Mexican food I’ve had in Ireland but once you go it’s the kind of place you’ll wake up craving and there isn’t anything else that’ll do the trick! Really sounds guys as well, even gave us a jump when the car died. 10/10!

Mister Magpie Coffee
Dublin
11/07/2026: Great coffee, super friendly staff, and seating outside is perfect for people watching!
01/07/2026: A coffee chain's local Ballsbridge favourite, you'll always notice it from a distance, no matter the time of day—it's usually packed with tourists, office workers, and regulars.
It's small but cosy, and the menu has all the classic basics, from cappuccinos to lemon cake.
Bonus: Mister Magpie partners with Bean Inspired Coffee Roasters, a local Dublin-based roastery that sources and roasts specialty coffee grown by women farmers.
Most importantly, they're not too stingy with the ceremonial-grade matcha powder—meaning the matcha latte is consistently vibrant green and full of flavour (a rare gem to find in Dublin, in my experience, so far).
Our choice: Matcha Latte (€4.50), Flat White (€4.10), and Raspberry & White Chocolate Cookie (€4.50) — all on point!
Bill for two: €13.10
Overall verdict: 10/10 if you manage to get the cool window seating. Otherwise, it can feel quite cramped, especially on the terrace.
