The best restaurants in Dublin

09/04/2025: I visited Kehoe's for my first ever pint of Guinness as suggested by my partner and it was absolutely fantastic. Creamy, thick and exactly how I'd imagine a perfect pint would be at a very reasonable price. The barmen were your classic Irishmen. Funny, down to earth and chatty and made us feel very at home. Kehoe's was our first pub we visited when we touched down in Dublin and I'll be coming straight back every time I visit Ireland in the future.

27/03/2025: Just got a margherita, exceptional. Crunchy, fresh, thin, great base. Good vibes from the staff. Can recommend.

21/03/2025: We tried several menu items and all were great. In particular, the pizza was outstanding and had one of the best crusts I have tasted. The burrata salad was top notch, very creamy. If I lived in Dublin, I would be a regular diner here!

24/02/2025: We had a wonderful meal at the Garden Room at the weekend. We had a fantastic seat by the window, really lovely relaxed atmosphere. Food was absolutely delicious and the experience was made even better with our very attentive waiter, Timothy. His knowledge of the food menu and the wine list was also very helpful.

23/02/2025: It was an experience dining in Garden Room. I treated my sister nephews to a wonderful occasion there. From start to finish we all felt the service and food was amazing.

11/04/2025: Went in on a warm sunny day. Was promptly sat down. Ordered the seafood chowder and pork belly. Chowder was hot but very good. Pork belly was small but ok. Did not like the mashed potatoes. Not sure why so many more upscale restaurants feel the need to put shallots/green onions in their mashed potatoes, but I wish they'd stop. Other than that, was a nice place to eat that provided a nice respite from the heat and sun outside.

30/03/2025: 8a is a great restaurant. Consistently great. Today I turned up with 7 people for a Mothers Day lunch and I had made booking for the wrong day. They found us a table in what is probably one of the busiest days of the year for restaurants. We had super food and brilliant service. It's my favourite restaurant ❤️

11/04/2025: I visited the restaurant today and ordered the "Berlin Shawarma", which I’ve tried before and was familiar with how it’s usually served. The person at the cashier — who I later found out is the owner (as confirmed by one of the staff) — the payment is made before the food was served It seems the restaurant offers complimentary lentil soup to customers, and the owner simply pointed at it and told me to help myself. I did not like this ; it would have been much more courteous if he had served it directly rather than just pointing at it. When my order arrived, I was surprised to see that the shawarma was wrapped in Arabic bread instead of the usual type. I also checked their Instagram account and saw that the Berlin Shawarma is normally served in a different style of bread ( I attached a picture) I asked one of the staff whether they had changed it, and she explained that they usually use Turkish bread, but it was unavailable today — so they substituted it with Arabic bread. What really bothered me is that the owner himself took my order and did not mention that that the original bread wasn’t available. This felt disrespectful to the customer. I ordered this shawara only because I want to repeat eating the bread Additionally, the Arabic bread used was oversized and touched the table, which was concerning for me due to hygiene sensitivity. The table wasn’t clean enough when I sat down, which made things worse. I spke to a staff who I must say that was very kind and offered to change my order, which I appreciated. Even though the owner clearly saw me visibly upset and leaving the restaurant, and he made no effort to address my concerns or speak to me. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be returning there again!

24/03/2025: One the day in question they were short staff upstairs but the girl was so professional you would not notice food was so good and quality if I was to pick out a fault was no veg with the food extra price if wanted I paid 65 euro for a 12oz steak cooked to perfection would recommend and go again thanks for a great day also great bar downstairs keep up the good work

22/03/2025: Went in for a late lunch. Ordered the Tom Ka Gai soup again, and it was just as delicious as the last time. The red curry was made spicy at my request, which turned out just right as the spiciness did not take away the Flavour. The server was very friendly and attentive. The place has a rustic atmosphere which works. Will definitely keep coming here.

28/03/2025: Our booking for 5.15pm was ended abruptly at 6.45pm. Dessert was not an option due to next booking. Is it me or should we get at least 2 hours at our table. Disappointing to have our meal at such a rushed pace.

22/03/2025: Comida deliciosa, cada plato era impecable! El vino fue cuidadosamente elegido y realmente complementó la comida. Lo malo fue la atención constante de las camareras preguntando si queríamos más y quitando platos tan pronto como se había comido ese bien. No nos habían informado de que era una hora 45 minutos sentados al hacer la reserva o cuando estábamos sentados, pero nos apresuraron al final. Se llevó de la experiencia, especialmente porque había muchas mesas vacantes disponibles. No me dejaría fuera de la reserva de nuevo, pero la gente debe ser consciente de que van a entrar y salir!

31/03/2025: Fantastic, one of the best destinations to visit when in Dublin. I've been here twice now, it's great, the experience is authentic and very informative. Getting samples doesn't hurt. Make sure to book ahead of time to make sure you get to do a tour. The oak draw tour is a let down though, you may try some pot still whiskey, but it should have been longer and more interactive from a visitors perspective. This is way better than the impersonal Guinness tour. Take your time and enjoy. Thanks for the high standard of tour even if it does come across as a bit commercialised as opposed to what you guys did 20 years ago... Highly recommend, most enjoyable
