Update:
Great spot for climbers of all ages. Instructors are excellent — patient, encouraging, and really know how to get the best out of kids (especially through the NICAS program). The bouldering area is fun and well laid out, with plenty of variety to keep things challenging.
Nice bonus for parents: good coffee, comfy sofas, free Wi-Fi, and sockets for charging while you wait. Toilets are clean, and the centre also runs great birthday parties for kids.
💡 Tip: Book in advance — NICAS and kids’ sessions fill up quickly.
13/08/2025: Had a brilliant time on a 1 hour introductory session with the kids today. Thomas, our instructor, was great - super patient and knowledgeable. We'll be back!

Staff are very attentive, and the service is excellent. A big congratulations to the owners for creating such a welcoming place.
Highly recommended – a must-visit spot in the area!

15/08/2025: Similar to the Ethiopian food we had in the states so I assumed its authentic. :) I am no expert but food are all delicious and taste fresh. The use of spice is nice if I have to criticize the meat is a bit overdone. Also unlike those in America, the food was not served altogether on one plate for all guests on the same table.
All in all happy experience and recommend it.
11/08/2025: Gorgeous food with strong flavours and at least six vegan options. Affordable too and friendly service. Get into Mulligan's next door after for some Guinness as dessert.

The Helix Cafe
