The best restaurants in Dublin

02/06/2025: Possibly one of the nicest Thai meals I’ve had in Dublin. The standard in Dublin in general is not that high but the meal we had was 10/10, the restaurant was so lovely and cosy and the service was great. We will definitely be back!

The layout is beautifully designed, with a modern yet character-filled interior that sets it apart from any other cinema in the city. My favourite part? Without a doubt, the screens. Having watched films across all four of their auditoriums, I can confidently say the picture quality is unmatched. Their 4K laser projection systems are calibrated to perfection, delivering razor-sharp images and vibrant colour that genuinely enhance every film, whether it’s a classic re-release or the latest blockbuster. And the sound? Impeccably crisp, balanced, and immersive, the kind of clarity that pulls you right into the story. The projection team clearly knows their craft, and it shows. The Lighthouse doesn’t just play movies; it presents them. Another standout feature is their thoughtful programming. From indie gems and foreign cinema to Hollywood favourites and legendary marathons (like the lord of the rings extended edition trilogy that I attended back in July 2024 an unforgettable experience), there’s always something exciting on offer. It’s a place that celebrates cinema in all its forms. The staff are always warm, professional, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Since discovering the Lighthouse Cinema in 2021, it’s become a must-visit every time I’m in Dublin. Whether you’re a dedicated cinephile or just looking for a memorable night out, this is the cinema that delivers every time.

26/05/2025: We ordered takeaway from Umi Falafel and it was delicious. The food was prepared super quickly, and the service was very friendly. We had a vegan shawarma, a falafel box with bread and various sauces, and a tabbouleh salad with lots of herbs. Everything was delicious, and the falafel was nice and crispy. We highly recommend this place.

23/05/2025: We had breakfast in this bakery during a weekend in Dublin and we were really satisfied! The coffee and cappuccino were delicious (said by two Italians it is worth double..), the pastries we had were a pleasant discovery of Argentine pastry, very tasty and well made. The availability and professionalism of the two girls was excellent and their kindness was put to the test by me.. who unfortunately dropped, while I was putting my jacket back on, a decorative cup, breaking it into pieces. Despite the damage caused, I was treated with kindness and empathy. (I apologize again..). The location is very convenient, especially if you plan to visit the Guinness Storehouse. I absolutely recommend it :)

23/05/2025: Now there’s a really good REAL specialty coffee in a tiny outlet. When the weather allows, there are two small tables outside on the quiet square. Otherwise it’s strictly takeaway. But GREAT coffee and friendly service.

14/05/2025: This is one of my favourite places to go in Dublin and I always recommend it to friends or people visiting. The staff are so cute and they offer you soup for free with your meal!! It’s always good and it has a really special vibe that is hard to fine in temple bar when there’s so many chains around.
