22/03/2025: Good coffee. I enjoyed the relaxed choice of music. And the decor. It has tables inside and small parking on the street it was easy to find a slot. There is a variety of cookies, donuts and tartares something to try next time. Its not very busy even on a Saturday. Thing to improve only to be served with real cups if seating vs paper, still the coffee is very good and I reccomended a visit.

Pros: Beautifully kept grounds Peaceful atmosphere Lovely outdoor spa area and use of outdoor tubs & sauna is complimentary Lovely touches for a birthday celebration Spacious room, very comfortable bed, stunning bathroom with free standing bath and excellent shower Service from majority of staff was exceptionally good Superb value for a triple room on a Sunday night Delicious dinner - highlights of which were bread, scallops, squid, pork, cod, John Dory & wine Beautiful decaf cocktails at the end of the night Golf buggy to our room at the end of the night was much appreciated! Cons: A very rude barman who was working at lunch time on Sunday 11th May - we were appalled at his lack of professionalism. In stark contrast to this, the two young barmen that night could not have been any nicer! Desserts at dinner were not to our taste at all, maybe just a personal preference though? Turn down service was underwhelming Breakfast was a bit of a let down

25/04/2025: Got takeaway from this restaurant on Uber Eats. Fish and chips had some skin left on the fish which isn't common. Kebab was decent but had limp brown pieces of lettuce which I had to remove while eating. Banoffee was €4.50 for a tiny slice and when I went to eat it it was a horrible bitter taste, something must have been gone off. Would not recommend.

22/05/2025: It must be said that the atmosphere is rather nice and elegant, especially the bar facing the garden. The service was efficient and there were no mistakes were made, however, for a restaurant of such style, there was no wow factor. Wine is served rather casually and I asked for ice cream for a desert and I was told that is not on the menu, minutes later it was served on the tables next to me.. And the food, the starter that I had was tiny and that was very welcome as the taste was awful ( extremely salty and heavy), it was a seafood cocktail and one could not taste any seafood. Another guest on my table thought the same, I would give it 3 out of 10. The main was a sirloin steak with chunky chips and pepper sauce. The steak was lovely, 8 or 9 out of 10 but the chips and pepper sauce didn't impress in any way. No greens on the side. The desert was a praline mousse, and I think the taste was fine but the presentation failed to impress (even the children on our table). Overall, the only thing that deliver to me was the grilled meat. It is a fine atmosphere and I thought that some live music would be a very nice touch. It is a nice experience, but at that price people do expect more.

04/05/2025: Excellent cocktail (clarified piña colada), great food and very warm service. Booked as an early birthday dinner with my partner. We had the bread & butter, sea bream crudo (excellent), steak and agnolotti, and chocolate mousse. All very good, and quality ingredients. Nice ambiance, small venue so book ahead, overall would recommend!

21/04/2025: If you are a foody... Take the taxi trip out of Dublin to here, it's well worth it. Amazing food, host was really nice. Small cozy Operation. The Lamb Ragu was world class

26/03/2025: RACIST… I’ve never pulled the race card but I have also never been harassed out of a bar before! My friends and I who were visiting Ireland for work were harassed by this woman who was a friend of the owner or one of the staff. We thought she was a random drunk but when we told the waitress about her the waitress ignored us, looked at the woman, and took her order like we didn’t exist! The woman kept asking us if we were sex traffickers and when we asked her to leave she kept insulting us and saying if we aren’t careful her friends in the back would come out and talk with us. Then we saw that everyone around us was white and got the message to leave. As we left with our drinks unfinished the woman was talking to an older man who looked like the owner or manager, as though they were friends. You go and make your own judgements on the place but look around and see if you see anyone who isn’t white being served. This was just our experience and unfortunately it was horrible. 03/06/2025: DJ’d here for a 21st birthday recently. The upstairs function room is good and spacious. Load in with equipment was ok. Plenty of parking outside. I would recommend this venue for any event. If you need a DJ for this venue contact me through Instagram @ DJStephenPaterson
