The best restaurantsof irish in Cork

26/01/2025: This review is a couple of months late, with my apologies. We enjoyed a spectacular meal in November 2024 and I had wanted to say thank you so much. The pumpkin & parmesan croquettes were life-changing... the gnocchi sublime. The thing that made it perfect though was the service which was warm, enthusiastic and professional. Our server was unflappable even when the table next to us set their napkin on fire, and seemed completely uninterested in putting it out. We got an awful fit of the giggles but she was serenity itself as she saved the day. I would come back to Kinsale just to visit The Black Pig. The food was truly the best meal I've had in 10 years, maybe more - every dish perfection. The prices are a steal compared to the highway robbery that's taken over Dublin with largely boring, poorly executed food.

01/02/2025: Just one more beautiful restaurant in west Cork. Did not have booking when we arrived. Place was buzzing beautiful building staff excellent. Seem to be enjoying their work a rare sight these days.food was excellent good menu lots to offer. Would definitely advise a visit if ur in the area.

19/01/2025: We ate here on a winter Saturday night. It was so cosy and the atmosphere was lovely. We both had a steak sandwich which was the best steak sandwich I’ve ever had! Apple crumble was delicious also! Service was brilliant. Will be back again 😊

16/01/2025: I journey to Cork monthly, on return to Kerry I stop at Mia Fitz's. Superb food, consistent prices and the staff are friendly.

22/12/2024: Review is for restaurant only. We had the 5 course dinner. Exceptional service, great festive ambience crew and excellent food made this a memorable meal. Nice range of options for the 5 courses. John Dory appetizer was exceptional. Mains highlights were the duck, beef and lamb that our party had. All cooked and seasoned perfectly. Desert trolley has a nice range of options to round off the night. Highly recommended.

01/12/2024: Visited my hometown last weekend. Had the lamb roast dinner.. it was absolutely georgous. A true taste of home. Portions were massive great value for money. Waiters/waistresses very attentive and hard working. Thank you. Until the next time 👍🙂

16/02/2025: My partner and I went to Man Friday on Valentines night and it was incredible! We were seated at a table in the heated patio over looking the long quay in Kinsale. We had the hot oysters, starter scampi, sirloin steaks and one sticky toffee to share, everything was genuinely 10/10. The staff were and always are super friendly. I cannot recommend this place enough.

15/02/2025: I was there for a 50th birthday party, but I have had many a meal there before, and was allways happy with the food I got, good wholesome food, at a good price.

08/02/2025: Went here for dinner with my boyfriend yesterday. The staff were warm and welcoming, as was the homey vibe in the restaurant, I believe they also have accommodation there. Bandon is a lovely area and I’d love to come back there for Copper Grove

03/02/2025: It is better to book a table in advance! We ordered Greek salad, seasonal seafood salad, hake, fish of the day, halloumi sweet potato and piri piri chicken. They brought compliments of salad and a mini-bucket of potatoes. They prepared it very quickly and served everything for 5 people at the same time, for which special thanks!

19/02/2025: Food absolutely fantastic, never fails to disappoint. Service airy fairy. Nearly ten minutes from first main course to the table to the last and it wasn't a bit group. Ordering desert before water was brought to last few at table. Extra sides not brought at all.

18/02/2025: A bit out of the way now with the motorway bypassing it, but lovely food and enough on the plate to fill. The lamb shoulder was fab, lasagne great, Beef lovely but I wouldn't recommend the steak sandwich with toasted bagette/ciabatta. Both of us struggled with it as it was so hard.

11/02/2025: Gorgeous food, good coffee and deserts, perfect stop after a walk in the park.
