06/06/2025: Hands down, our favorite spot in town. The food and atmosphere at The Black Pig are always top-notch. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the service is consistently excellent. This place is an absolute must if you're visiting Kinsale!

16/05/2025: Generous and tasty dishes, several options has part of their daily menu and a lovely and attentive staff. We were 15 and we did not have a table big enough to fit as all in the same table and the acoustics weren’t great, but besides that it was a great experience.

27/05/2025: First dinner in Kinsale and Ireland and it was incredible.We were sat at a table in the covered terrace by the big open fireplace.The cooked oysters lobster and black sole were perfectly cooked so fresh - even the green salad was a highlight with the mix of leaves and dressing and such friendly efficient staff

26/05/2025: The food was ok although Fishy Fishy across the harbor is much better. The hake was good and salad was fresh. Nothing out of the ordinary or extraordinary.

02/06/2025: Stopped in skibbereen for lunch and found this amazing restaurant in tje town centre. We hadn't booked but they managed to find us a lovely table for 2 upstairs. My wife said her fresh fish and chips was the best she had ever eaten, as for my large portion of mussels in white creamy garlic sauce absolutely fantastic.

02/06/2025: --- ## The Church Restaurant, Skibbereen: A Delicious Taste of Asia! What a delightful surprise to find **The Church Restaurant in Skibbereen** offering such exceptional Asian cuisine! After a few weeks away from home, I was truly craving those familiar, comforting flavours, and The Church absolutely delivered. I tried the Pad Thai and it hit the spot! The other dishes were also packed with authentic taste, fresh ingredients, and clearly prepared with skill and care. The beef was also great and service exceptional staff making sure we were well looked after and meeting our dining requests. Hospitality unbelievable but busy as the place was fully booked when we ate there. Beyond the wonderful food, the setting in the converted church adds a unique and memorable ambiance to the dining experience.

12/06/2025: Super tasty breakfast! Got the focaccia sandwich and the mushroom toast. Excellent flavors and super fresh ingredients. Vanilla cardamom latte was the cherry on top! Everyone raves about this place for a reason.

06/06/2025: Very welcoming host. Had mushroom on sourdough with Halloumi …absolutely perfect. Home made lemonade, and cappuccino. Lovely banter with staff. Very cute interior. It felt like walking into a friend’s for breakfast.

15/05/2025: First visit today. Lovely food and venue, lovely waiting staff but bloody heck, the guy behind the bar doing restaurant payments badly needs a refresher course in customer service!! Not a smile, please or thank you from the time I approached him to pay my bill. In fact, only for my thank you when he presented me with the card machine and another thank you from me when he gave me the receipt the whole interaction was done in silence. Not a good look for any establishment. Do better!

30/03/2025: The staff and service was lovely, ordering and serving was fast. However, the food was bad. The lasagne was watery and cold, the chips were half cooked and was soaking with oil as if it was sat in oil and it felt like it was microwaved. The lasagne had little to no flavour and the only thing I ate was the garlic bread. The brownie was okay as well but was cold. The service and the staff were amazing throughout the whole experience but food wise, wasn’t the best.

29/03/2025: This place was busy but our food was served quickly. We had the roast beef special and it was amazing.

17/06/2025: I was there for a 50th birthday party, but I have had many a meal there before, and was allways happy with the food I got, good wholesome food, at a good price. Four of us had a meal and it was amazing, and desserts, not one of us, could say it was anything other than perfect, lovely staff very clean, lots of parking

The atmosphere was lovely and comfortable, with a cozy, homey feel that made us feel right at ease from the moment we walked in. The food was delicious, with a menu that not only celebrated Irish roots but also playfully incorporated a few international twists. Surprisingly, everything came together beautifully — the flavors were balanced and thoughtfully crafted. Prices were very reasonable, and the staff couldn’t have been kinder. Attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Highly recommended if you’re looking for great food in a relaxed, heartwarming setting.

24/04/2025: No reservations needed, as walk in's only. Place was full told to call bk in 10mins. We returned, absolutely 1st class food, super fast service & value for money. More of a pizza place, although has a great looking special board! Definitely worth a stop, in this heaven off a place, tgat is Skull

14/05/2025: Fab place, and service. Popped in on the off chance they had a table and served food last week. Great service from the lovely staff, and the food was divine. Gorgeous fresh fish. We had the Fish goujans and Hake. And to our surprise the prices were so reasonable. We'll be back for sure, as the menu had a great selection. 😊
