I kicked off with huge juicy oysters, followed by scampi that was golden, crisp, and downright addictive. The back sole? Melt-in-your-mouth magic. And fair play to the staff—Natalie had the whole thing running like clockwork, no fuss, just good vibes. €96 well spent, no regrets. If you’re in Kinsale and not eating here, you’re missing a trick.

07/01/2026: We booked on New Year's Day based on the menu advertised at the door that day. When we went that evening the 2 dishes, muscles and steak, that we had travelled for were not available. It was so disappointing 😞 I ordered the fish which was to have a herb gnocchi with it but instead I got a type of potato cake thing. So all in all it was so disappointing. On the flip side tho, the staff were polite and attentive.

Top atmosphere and drinks...reasonable prices...

A great discovery in a small town.

29/11/2025: Had the most amazing family dinner here lastnight and I had to share the experience! We were a table of 8 people, some had starts and dessert, all had mains ! Everything was amazing, the service was brilliant , super friends and welcoming staff ! Service was perfectly timed that it wasn't too long or too quick for food either ! The flavours were out of the world! Even the mushroom soup which wouldn't be a first pick for me was insane! Will definitely be back again!

16/01/2026: Okay, if you want a roast dinner, there is literally NO WHERE better!! The service is truly amazing!!! We usually have our food arrive before our drinks (and that’s only because it takes a minute to pour a Beamish)! Service is excellent and the food is even better! Just go and have dinner and a pint! You will NOT regret it!!!

07/01/2026: Very disappointed with service, food quality and price. The standards have slipped drastically since I last visited. Paid €183 for 5 adults and 1 child, 3 starters 5 main courses and no desert. Food portions were small, overcooked and little flavour. Example of poor service; we were given a bunch of cutlery and told "that should be enough" and walked away!!!
Looks like The Mills has lost its way from what it was and I will be checking for reviews before I return again.
28/12/2025: Had brunch and it was delicious! Staff was very friendly and the vibes were great and cozy! Make sure to stop inside the little store outside afterwards cute clothes and items!

I'm new to Cork, Clonakilty and Ireland in general and was denied entry simply because I was alone.
Although I've never been in.... I'll certainly never be back.
Head to GG's instead!
These guys are funny as hell saying they were closing at 21:00. Lots of lads had said the "security" staff packing roofies. Didn't believe it until that night.
