10/07/2025: Again a perfect lunch at Scannells. Usually David and I go to this wonderful place on our own. This time we had David's 90 year old parents from Australia with us. The food was as always exceptional. It was great to hear the 90s soundtrack playing - especially The Verve Sonnet - and we just had a yet again perfect lunch. Thank you Shane and the team. We will be back very soon!
08/07/2025: I had lunch here recently, although I had a long wait for my food, it was very tasty when it arrived! it was an incredibly busy weekend but staff were friendly and helpful!

21/07/2025: Never fails to put a smile on my dial. The food is fab. There's always a lovely crowd and buzzy atmosphere. The staff are warm and attentive. And the tablescapes in Summer are so pretty. I love a place that puts in this much effort across the board.

My duck main was phenomenal, my fiancé wasn't overly impressed with the aubergine main but maybe just wasn't hungry enough. Would try something else instead.
Everything was delicious. Everybody elses food looked top class.
Lovely atmosphere and ambience
The creme brulee was the most mouth watering we've ever had. Celebrated our engagement and birthday in style. We will be back again
Great service also.

30/03/2025: The staff and service was lovely, ordering and serving was fast. However, the food was bad. The lasagne was watery and cold, the chips were half cooked and was soaking with oil as if it was sat in oil and it felt like it was microwaved. The lasagne had little to no flavour and the only thing I ate was the garlic bread. The brownie was okay as well but was cold. The service and the staff were amazing throughout the whole experience but food wise, wasn’t the best.

What a nice surprise!
The atmosphere was lovely and comfortable, with a cozy, homey feel that made us feel right at ease from the moment we walked in.
The food was delicious, with a menu that not only celebrated Irish roots but also playfully incorporated a few international twists. Surprisingly, everything came together beautifully — the flavors were balanced and thoughtfully crafted.
Prices were very reasonable, and the staff couldn’t have been kinder. Attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for great food in a relaxed, heartwarming setting.
24/04/2025: No reservations needed, as walk in's only. Place was full told to call bk in 10mins.
We returned, absolutely 1st class food, super fast service & value for money. More of a pizza place, although has a great looking special board!
Definitely worth a stop, in this heaven off a place, tgat is Skull

14/05/2025: Fab place, and service. Popped in on the off chance they had a table and served food last week. Great service from the lovely staff, and the food was divine. Gorgeous fresh fish. We had the Fish goujans and Hake. And to our surprise the prices were so reasonable. We'll be back for sure, as the menu had a great selection. 😊
