21/11/2024: We got so lucky to find Black Pig in Kinsale. We arrived in town after a long drive in the off-season and didn’t have reservations for dinner. We “found” Black Pig and luckily they had 2 seats at the bar. This is an exceptional dining experience. Its warm embrace comes from the ambiance of the intimate rooms and the welcoming staff. Veal carpaccio was a special of the night; it melted in our mouths. Monkfish bites and liver pate were to die for!!! It has a local, neighborhood vibe…many patrons knew each other which adds to the hospitality of the place. We’ll be back. ☘️

17/11/2024: Stopped in late November, they must have just put the Christmas decorations up, arrived with no booking on a busy enough Sunday evening and the hostess at the front desk went out of her way to find the best seats for us upstairs. Menu had loads of options and everything that came out was the kind of food that you'd hope it would be. Just really solid, well cooked gastro food that looked great on the plate. Every course was delicious and the staff were really helpful and attentive. 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Skibreen

23/11/2024: I has the pleasure of having a meal in this beautiful establishment recently and it was delicious. As I am coeliac I was catered for very well, most dishes if not all were adaptable. Lovely atmosphere and great servers. Warm. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

We had our Christmas lunch there today, and as always, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff are a pleasure to deal with every time. 16/11/2024: Excellent as Always. Tonight we did a takeaway from Mai Fitzs restaurant. We eat in as often as we do a takeaway from them. Food Excellent 👌. Beautiful Steak Sandwich!!. So tender and delicious 😋 the 🍟 fries were originally gold and crispy however I wish they would use strong paper brown bags. As the food is wonderful and hot going into the packaging it makes the outer plastic bag sweat causing the food to be soggy as a result unfortunately. In short . Food 5 star but please rethink the plastic bag for transportation. Otherwise Everything 5 star . Always worth it!!!!!5*****

12/11/2024: Special place for a special occasion.. Really great place here , top class in every way , great food , great service and fantastic location ( ask for a table in the courtyard) .. a little bit more expensive than most but well worth it .. Cheers 🥂

03/11/2024: Went here to celebrate engagement with our extended family. Food was really nice but the service was very poor. Attitude of the waitress was very bad and felt we were inconveniencing her throughout the whole evening. Had to go to the main bar to ask for drinks because no one was coming to our table. Starters came out for half of our party and by the time we had finished it, the remaining starters came . Ordered sticky toffee pudding and mine was cold while others were warm. Ordered soup and garlic bread for a child and only the garlic bread came.
