15/07/2025: So disappointed with this meal. The John Dorey was over cooked and dry with no sauce - a€40 unpleasant plate of food. I had to send back the crème Brûlée as it was definitely old. Not fresh.
Gave it to the waitress and explained it wasn’t fresh and she took it away and never returned. No apology or offer of a replacement!
I’m sorry but for the prices this place is charging they really need to up their game. If the food was spectacular you could possibly over look the naff interior, but the whole thing was a very expensive bad experience!
06/07/2025: OMG. I’ve had seafood stew all over the world. Zappa de pesce, ciopinno, bouillabaisse…. The seafood stew was the best!!!!!! Seafood linguine also awesome. Great atmosphere. Great servers! Love let experience all around! Brilliant!

The Fish Box

05/07/2025: We went here after google recommended here for the best fish and chips in Dingle. A family of 5 and one of us eating a child's portion. We didn't have drinks or starters or dessert. It was just shy of 100 euro plus the tip. My curry portion was small for the price. I expected better. Also my husbands meal the scampi was over cooked. The place was very cramped as people were queuing to get in from the street. The rest of the family enjoyed their meals. The food looked amazing but for the price we were very disappointed and will choose somewhere else next time.
04/07/2025: Gem of a find! Food was really great with a slight twist from your regular ‘fish and chips’. About a 40min wait but they kindly took our number and phoned when ready for us. Service was very friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend

17/07/2025: This is a take-away--and do stop in for take-away. The staff there is friendly, informative, sweet and funny. There were many choices for the fish--haddock and hake, yes. And several more--I had the monk fish. Oh, so delicious. The chips are crispy on the outside, soft and luscious inside. I'm a vinegar and salt lover, so that was my choice. There are picnic tables and walls to sit on at the harbor. Some pubs will allow the food if you order a drink. I sat by the water--and watched the boats and enjoyed the beauty and devoured this delicious late lunch.
16/07/2025: Stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon. We'd had a recommendation that this was the best chipper! And it was.
Hake and cod were sweet and tasty. Chips were excellent. And don't pass up the homemade curry and tartar!

24/06/2025: Tried to get a place at fish box but we where too late. When we arrived at Fenton's, even though it was busy we where seated right away. The service was incredibly friendly and the appetizer calamari was tender and cooked to perfection. We had the monk fish and scallops plate was one of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend for anyone that is staying in or around Dingle and needs a break from the pubs.

I was afraid to eat oysters for a long time in my life since my last experience, as a seafood lover I had to give it a go again so I did try their oysters and it was absolutely beautiful, Very fresh! The mussels were also amazing.
Thanks for the good experience.

06/07/2025: Amazing atmosphere - typical Irish pub experience. The staff was very helpful. The food was rich and flavourful with a variety of options; it was also inexpensive(80-90 euro for 2 kids, 2 adults.) My new favourite restaurant in Kerry!!
23/06/2025: A great cosy Irish pub which does very wholesome food and tasty pints. Anytime I’m back in dingle I visit the Marina Inn and have never been disappointed. Would highly recommend visiting the Marina!

01/07/2025: Had food here twice while in Dingle. It was delicious and the helpings were generous. We didn't have a reservation. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was moderately price. Service was very quick despite being busy. I would highly recommend here for a yummy dinner while in Dingle. They had daily special menu and there were options for vegetarian and specific dietary requirements.

Everyone in our party thought the meal today was excellent… one of Dingle’s finest foodie establishments

03/06/2025: This is a MUST dine! We were told by a couple on our tour that this was the best meal ever, and we made a reservation with high expectations. The food was out of sight! Service was fantastic. And I could actually hear my family and didn’t need to yell. My picky 14 year old ate everything and said she wanted to live in this restaurant. Don’t miss this place!

Staff were awful though, wine didn't come until we were half way through our starters, the mains then came while we were still eating our starters.
There was no professionalism or politeness to them at all, in fact it felt like they were sneering when they asked was everything alright as the bill was paid. I'm not surprised there are other complaints about the service, if I was the owner id certainly be having words with my staff, for the good of the business!
Even though the food was delicious I won't be giving my custom to this business when I'm back in Dingle again. Every other business in the town had exceptional service.
06/07/2025: Slow service and the food is extremely mediocre. Very bland and tastes like it was frozen.

27/04/2025: We decided we would like a bit of “irish” food, so decided to try the Dingle Pub. Everything was great!! We had a good yummy Shepherds Pie. Friendly staff and food service.
21/04/2025: The food was good and the atmosphere was incredible! The live, traditional music and dancer were a highlight of our entire 8-day trip!! We caught the music/dancing around 4pm. Do not miss this special experience if you spend any time in Dingle. Service was great at this family-owned pub.

The Boatyard Restaurant

16/07/2025: Dined here 10/7/25 - 2 adults + 1 child. While the food could be considered average to good it was very overpriced at €100+ Fortunately we were using a gift voucher, which softened the blow somewhat, but overall most disappointing.
The service was awful on the day as we waited almost an hour for food to arrive despite not being busy at the time. Don't like pointing the finger at staff but having young untrained/inexperienced staff reflects badly on management especially with those high prices. Yes we did make a complaint, but a half hearted apology didn't really cut it for us & no compensatory gesture offered
While normally we would leave a tip we reluctantly did not do so on this occasion & most definitely will not be returning after this most disappointing experience.
Need to up your game big time if you want to survive in this demanding business and stop taking customers for granted.
14/07/2025: The oysters were room temperature - service was chaotic with 3 different team members helping with our table of 2 - extremely loud in the atrium area
