07/10/2025: Had an absolutely great experience at Corley’s Ballintubber. The food was top class — everything tasted fresh and homemade, and the portions are big and very reasonably priced. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, really friendly and made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. The place itself has a great atmosphere, cosy and relaxed but still lively. You can tell they take real pride in what they do here. Would 100% recommend to anyone passing through or looking for a nice meal out. We’ll definitely be back!

14/11/2025: Had food here during the summer and it was amazing. Ate again here recently and the food wasn't as good. Menu had changed and options were limited. The staff were wonderful.

25/11/2025: Came in to eat for two different evenings during a short stay with my son. The food was simply wonderful, excellently cooked, and neither cooked to quickly or had us waiting hours. The staff were the best I've come across in a long time. Would recommend to anybody travelling to Westport.

05/11/2025: It’s the decent restaurant for seafood dishes with good quality of the ingredients. They are staffs providing the good service. The atmosphere is cozy and fine dining. It’s lovely place in Westport with a good spot.

09/10/2025: Love coming here, especially with the family. Shirley and the gang provide top-notch hospitality with a warm and welcoming touch. This restaurant caters excellently for kids, with the choice and quality of the kids menu as good as the main one! Great restaurant to visit also with colleagues and friends - all guests and occasions are catered for with equal dedication and excellence.

21/11/2025: Okay, image if Chapter One and the Winding Stair went on holidays and opened a restaurant in Westport, Co. Mayo. It is honest, homely and true Irish fare with one of the best interpretations of a salmon starter. A venison main, which is not easy to present, is one of the finest I've ever had. It is a true test of a fine restaurant on how to offer such a complex meat. It was perfect! The desert brought back memories of my Granny's best rice pudding. Not at all easy to replicate to such perfection. All topped off with excellent service and wonderful atmosphere! Thank you to all the team at An Port Mór! 12/10/2025: We were staying in Dooagh and happened upon The Valley House. Stayed for a few pints and a chat. Absolutely class place, extremely friendly service. We'll check out the accomodation and food on our next visit.

30/09/2025: What a wonderful find on Achill Island! A hidden Victorian house by the sea. A grand estate with a tiny Irish pub in the back. A must visit! The hostel was very well furnished and a comfortable night’s rest. I was very impressed! Breakfast was very generous and a wholesome stay.

14/12/2025: Went for afternoon tea, served by the lovely Rachel from Portugal, her knowledge of the Castle was superb, she showed me around some of the many function rooms, had wine by the fire in one of the many bars.. if you love oldie worldie steeped in history and a Castle that feels like your on a very old ship you'll be in the right place. Will return and try Jack Fenn bistro attached to the Castle.
