04/01/2025: Food lovely. Service was not fast but left plenty of time to enjoy courses. Main restaurant area was a little cold. Overall though, highly recommended.

02/01/2025: Stopped here on the way back from Achill (about 30 mins from Keel) and would 100% recommend. The food was fantastic. We got lasagna and the turkey&ham. All were excellent and delicious. Desserts of lemon meringue and fudge brownie were also class. Proper mugs for tea too! The waiters were brilliant - always checking in, so friendly and lovely. They make the place special.
The only thing that was disappointing was that the hot chocolate - it just wasn't hot.
Definitely stop here if you're in the area. 💯
28/12/2024: We went here for lunch today. The food was lovely as always. Ordered the lasagne but it was already sold out so its an excuse for another visit soon to try this dish. Everyone was happy with what they ordered

28/12/2024: Can’t get over the prices of pizzas in this place! We ordered 3 pizzas over the phone, which we ordered off their menu online. When we went in to collect the pizzas we were charged 33% more than what was said on their website. We were charged €60 for 3 pizzas! Absolute rip off and would not have ordered them if the menu had the current pricing on it. You should really update your website to have the current pricing list of your food. Can’t justify the prices for what you get and have never seen pricing as bad as that (even in big cities), will not be back unfortunately.
28/12/2024: The pizza here is grand, but the prices and false advertising leave a bad taste.
Ordered three pizzas over the phone tonight, only to be charged 33% more than is shown on the online menu at collection.
Over €60 for three pizzas is ridiculous. You wouldn’t pay that in NYC, London, or Paris.
Shocking stuff really. I wouldn’t have placed the order if the real prices were displayed.
I just paid out of courtesy but in hindsight I should have said something.
It’s very bad form, and from reading the other reviews seems to be common practice.

25/09/2024: A cute little bakery with delicious home-baked delicacies. We ordered apple pie and a chocolate cake. Both were super tasty. For our way home we took a chocolate cookie with us, which was also incredibly tasty.
Mary is very nice, a warm welcome as soon as you enter the shop.
Clear recommendation to anyone visiting Ballycastle.

29/11/2024: lovely pub the last time I was in this pub was 2009 on a stag I think the man that owned it then since past . lovely pub great friendly staff had a pint of Murphys and it was good . I will not leave it as long before I go back again. also met Pete on the Saturday.

20/11/2024: We are in Ireland for a couple weeks and have eaten at 2 of the finest hotels on the island but they pale in comparison to the authentic local fare served here at Carney’s. The seafood chowder was exactly what I had hoped for on this cold and rainy evening and was served piping hot with a side of delicious mashed potato. My wife had the Vol au Vents and it was hearty and delicious as well. All served and the Guinness poured perfectly by Katrina who was an superb host and she cheerfully provided local information and was very attentive to our needs. Highly recommend.
19/10/2024: After a trying day Carneys lifted our spirits with a great meal, fresh ingredients and menu and great service. Thankyou!

13/12/2024: Two girlfriends and I went to Bar One last night.
We enjoyed it all so much, the comfort, ambience and really good service. The food was delicious, two had cod special and I had curry. All dishes were amazing.
A particular mention to our waitress Averil, she was so efficient, upbeat and pleasant. I would highly recommend Bar One

24/12/2024: A very enjoyable 2 rounds of golf in Carne. Really impressive links course in Belmullet which ticks all the boxes, scenery, golf, hospilitality and value. 2 great (but tough) rounds of golf but each hole holds a different view. Each one has a charm of its own and would be very tough if the winds were any stronger. Fabulous fairways, greens and tee boxes and a pleasure to play.
17/12/2024: I have been lucky enough to play over 20 courses in Ireland over three trips there from the states. Carne is one of my favorite courses that I have played and that includes a few courses that have hosted the Irish Open. The people at Carne including Gerry and Fiona are some of the best people you will come in contact with anywhere in the world of golf. The course itself is a Hackett masterpiece, weaving through some of the best dunes in Ireland it feels like God laid out the course and Eddie just put in the tee boxes and greens. You have to play Carne if you are heading to Ireland for a golf trip, if you don't I promise that you will regret it.
