23/11/2024: The food was amazing. The chicken wings were incredible, great quality meat and the marinade was really delicious. Pizza equally as good with a really nice beer selection and the service was excellent. The servers were friendly and attentive and didn’t try and push us out with the bill at the end of our meal. 10/10 will be coming back

09/11/2024: stopped in while visiting the area and staff managed to fit us in despite them being full. boy oh boy were we so glad they did ! we ordered a range of dishes - goats cheese salad, pizzas and a burger (and the garlic & cheese 😍😍and truffle fries 🤤🤤🤤🤤 ) and every thing was fantastic. good vibe in the place and prices very reasonable for the dining experience. keep doing what you're doing and hope to visit soon again !

01/12/2024: Nice restaurant with a very good atmosphere in the center of Westport. The best Chowder I've had in Ireland. It was loaded with seafood and very flavorful. The mussels: Masterful. The Guinness Stew: Wonderful. The waiters were attentive the entire time. It is worth eating/dining here for quality/price/service 👌👌👌👌👌👌

14/11/2024: Recommended this place by a taxi driver & severely disappointed (in the food). Setting was nice & service was excellent (waiters were friendly & lovely). My starter was noticeably stale & my main was terrible.

09/11/2024: in the area recently and stayed overnight in the b&b. dinner was very nice and breakfast again top class. busy all day which is testament to the quality of service and food on offer. beside a busy main road so bit of traffic noise audible from the bedroom but all in all would definitely stay again

27/10/2024: Beautiful food, expertly prepared, hospitable service, and a beautiful room. If it wouldn’t require a transatlantic flight I would gladly dine here weekly. We came with a group of 8 rather last minute and they took excellent care of us. We’re already preparing for our next meal in a few months.

From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The Stirzarker family and their staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, creating an atmosphere that’s as friendly as it is comfortable. It’s clear that the team at the Dining Room truly cares about their guests, while the food itself is simply outstanding. Every dish was bursting with flavour, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. You can tell the chef here is passionate about his craft, as the food felt creative and thoughtfully prepared. The combination of excellent food, fine wine and such friendly service makes dining at the Dining Room a truly special experience. If you’re looking for a place where you can not only enjoy an incredible meal but also feel truly cared for by a welcoming team, this is the restaurant for you. 06/12/2024: I stayed there with my Sisters. It was beautifully done up for Christmas and our rooms were lovely too. Breakfast was amazing and Raja on reception was so attentive and couldn't do enough for us..it was a such a lovely experience and I hope to return. All the staff were great.

20/11/2024: We are in Ireland for a couple weeks and have eaten at 2 of the finest hotels on the island but they pale in comparison to the authentic local fare served here at Carney’s. The seafood chowder was exactly what I had hoped for on this cold and rainy evening and was served piping hot with a side of delicious mashed potato. My wife had the Vol au Vents and it was hearty and delicious as well. All served and the Guinness poured perfectly by Katrina who was an superb host and she cheerfully provided local information and was very attentive to our needs. Highly recommend.

29/11/2024: lovely pub the last time I was in this pub was 2009 on a stag I think the man that owned it then since past . lovely pub great friendly staff had a pint of Murphys and it was good . I will not leave it as long before I go back again. also met Pete on the Saturday.

25/09/2024: A cute little bakery with delicious home-baked delicacies. We ordered apple pie and a chocolate cake. Both were super tasty. For our way home we took a chocolate cookie with us, which was also incredibly tasty. Mary is very nice, a warm welcome as soon as you enter the shop. Clear recommendation to anyone visiting Ballycastle.
