The best restaurants in Limerick

12/10/2026: Nice friendly service. Food quality mixed.

11/10/2026: A mixed experience at The Hamptons. Starters arrived within four minutes, which felt rushed. The foie gras was excellent and the duck breast nicely cooked, but the duck rolls were bland and greasy, while the lamb shank was lukewarm, fatty and lacking flavour. Desserts were average. At €125 for two, including drinks, the quality and consistency didn't justify the price. Better value to be found elsewhere in Limerick. Sadly, after four disappointing visits, we won't be returning.

26/08/2026: To start, a Birra Moretti is an absolute must. 🍺 The birria tacos are an excellent choice, especially when paired with some patatas bravas and topped with alioli—the combination takes the flavour to a whole new level. And, of course, dessert was a must. The affogato was the perfect way to round off the experience, turning an already great meal into something truly memorable. Impeccable service from Antonella, a solid 10/10. Thank you so much!

14/08/2026: Last Sunday marked almost a year since the last time I went to Aces, and once again I left wanting to write this review, especially because of Daniel’s spectacular service. Right from the start, he is extremely polite, kind, and attentive. Last year it was my birthday, and a couple of friends of mine had their engagement proposal happen on the same night, and he simply made our experience so much more special. Such attention! Such care! And this past Sunday was no different. We were celebrating Father’s Day, which in my home country fell on last Sunday, and he had my parents, who are visiting me here in Ireland, unable to stop praising him because they were so charmed by his service. I personally love the atmosphere and the food at Aces, it’s without a doubt my favorite restaurant in Limerick, but experiencing a waiter like Daniel is something that transcends any hospitality experience you can have in this city, and perhaps in all of Ireland. Well done, Aces. Well done, Daniel.

25/08/2026: Very kind and professional reception desk. Rooms spacious and well appointed to include US and Continental style electric outlets. Restaurant under construction but dining still available and food was excellent. We would enjoy staying here again.

29/07/2026: We had a good stay, except for the absolute nightmare of a server at breakfast who was very rude to our group. We had a large group and they were absolutely not prepared to handle a large order. She yelled, spoke very rudely, and made unnecessary comments about how we should not be ordering from the main menu, which no one told us about before we were seated. The food for very good and rooms were comfortable, but the breakfast from hell left us with a bit of a bad taste in the end. I hope they are more upfront next time about expectations and management of larger groups.

03/10/2026: This is my favourite place in Adare never fails to dissapoint ,good quality food,try the goats cheese salad followed by the scallops amazing , friendly staff too.

03/10/2026: I dined here with my Mum and we were both very disappointed. My Mum had the Tomato and Basil soup which was like watered down bolognaise sauce and the single slice of soda bread was extremely salty and way too much Bread soda. Not edible and we wait it to the waiter. I had the Bruschetta which was ok. Nothing to write home about. We ordered 2 cheesecakes which were tiny served with cream that was fake. The pot of tea for two arrived with a large pot of water, two tiny cups and the teabags separately. Nowhere to put your used teabags but apart from that we could have done with a mug if you are going to serve the tea that way. I looked around at the other diners and everyone left half of their meals. The bathroom was filthy and had not been cleaned for a long time. Even the windowsills were filthy. I would not recommend the “Award Winning Restaurant “ !!

24/10/2026: We ordered a birria burrito (you can see half a burrito in the photo) and it was delicious. The staff at the stand were also very friendly. I recommend trying it with the mango salsa. 10/10

10/07/2026: I had a fantastic stay here while visiting the area for a wedding. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, and everything about my stay was perfect. The home is absolutely beautiful, exceptionally clean, and thoughtfully maintained. It has such a warm, inviting atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. One of my favorite features was the lovely garden and walking pathway. It was so peaceful and provided the perfect place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Every detail reflected the care that has gone into this property, making for a comfortable and memorable stay. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, welcoming place to stay. I would absolutely return the next time I’m in the area!
