Established in 1965, this traditional pub has all the charm and character you hope to find when visiting Ireland. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this is a place where locals and visitors alike gather to enjoy good conversation, great drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere. The pub has been family-run since opening in 1965, and that sense of hospitality is easy to appreciate. (Flannery’s Bar Limerick) Located in the heart of downtown Limerick, just a short stroll from the beautiful River Shannon, it’s the perfect place to stop after exploring the city. Whether you’re sightseeing or simply taking in the local culture, Flannery’s feels like an authentic part of the Limerick experience. We kept our visit simple with a couple of drinks and really enjoyed them. I ordered the Flannery’s Hazy, which was smooth, refreshing, and full of flavor. My husband stayed true to Irish tradition with a perfectly poured Guinness, and it was everything you would expect while enjoying one in Ireland. Sometimes a great pub doesn’t need an elaborate meal to leave a lasting impression—good beer, a comfortable setting, and friendly service can be more than enough. What stood out most was the genuine atmosphere. This isn’t a place trying to be trendy or touristy. It’s a proper Irish pub where you can relax, enjoy a pint, and soak in the history and culture around you. If you’re visiting Limerick and want an authentic experience rather than a chain establishment, Flannery’s deserves a stop on your itinerary. We’ll certainly remember our visit and would happily return the next time we’re in Limerick.

14/08/2026: Delicious Food, great portions and fair price for what you get. All staff was super friendly, we got a table quick even without reservation. The interiour and the inn itself is amazing.

11/08/2026: I have rarely had a worse steak. My wife's fish was partly uncooked so maybe we got them on a bad night. Portions are absolutely huge.

17/05/2026: Visited the mustard seed for dinner. Lovely atmosphere. Staff very attentive from the moment we arrived. I enjoyed sitting in the front living room, having a drink before our meal by the fire. Cannot fault the food. All fabulous. Due to high price point (but it is beautiful fine dining) I would personally only visit for a special occasion. I will return for a different special occasion and look forward to trying more items on the menu.

22/08/2026: Great value, staff very friendly. €10 each includes parking, bus to castle and guided tour. Tour was approximately 1hr. Our guide Maria was very friendly and engaging with stories and general knowledge on the castle. Definitely recommend.

09/07/2026: The croissants here are absolutely amazing, this café is a must-visit. Every item on the menu is perfectly made and incredibly delicious. Along with the white chocolate croissant and their freshly baked cookies, the hot chocolate is an absolute must-try. Highly recommended!

08/08/2026: First time eating here as a coeliac which always comes with its challenges but our waitress Michelle was absolutely on the ball, as soon as I told her about my dietary restrictions she reassured me that it would be no problem and informed me of all the ways in which they avoid cross contamination putting my mind at ease. She was an absolute breath of fresh air with a vibrant and endearing personality and clearly a very hard worker and asset to the team. As a coeliac I would definitely recommend dining here.
