27/09/2026: I had an amazing stay at the castle and would recommend it for anyone wanting a relaxing vacation in a beautiful location. The staff (especially manager Karen) went out of their way to be accommodating, and I have never felt more taken care of. Definitely worth a stay if you are in the area!

15/06/2026: This might be the most beautiful and delicious cake I’ve ever tasted. We had a last minute request and the result was stunning. The icing was light and not too sweet and the chocolate tasted like the best of a brownie and the best of a cake put together. The decorating was next level, and pictures do not do it justice. We will be coming back for ALL our cakes in the future. She was also so kind and easy to work with. I just can’t say enough good things. Can’t wait for our next birthday!

03/09/2026: For years I have heard of the Launch as the "dodgy bar with a doorbell", but one day I decide to go in and investigate this establishment for myself... And little did I know... I fell in love with it... From being able to get a good quality midday pint at a more than fair price? What's not to love, the pub has provided the best deal I have ever seen for a stout being three pints of Beamish for 13 Euros. Now that deal is no longer available, a standard pint of Beamish is 5 Euros exact. There are one or two other bars in the city which offer a similar price, but the difference is that the Launchs Beamish is a solid 7/10 pint. Besides the pints, the atmosphere there is exceptional and the bar staff are A1. It's a great spot to meet a friend, chat to a stranger or even have a quiet corner to yourself. The Launch has become my number one go to bar in the city.

26/09/2026: Where will I start! Service unreal, food exceptional, Guinness lovely and creamy. Girls Sasha and Aine were sharp, on point and very polite... I got roast duck which was presented on the plate like we are in Michelin star restaurant, tasted unreal! My wife got mussel's and kids goujons and chips both were fresh and tender and very good. I had one of the best Guinness in a long time in a Gastro pub, nice and creamy... Overall we definitely will visit this side of town a lot more often... Thank you The Top House...

08/08/2026: First time eating here as a coeliac which always comes with its challenges but our waitress Michelle was absolutely on the ball, as soon as I told her about my dietary restrictions she reassured me that it would be no problem and informed me of all the ways in which they avoid cross contamination putting my mind at ease. She was an absolute breath of fresh air with a vibrant and endearing personality and clearly a very hard worker and asset to the team. As a coeliac I would definitely recommend dining here. 25/10/2026: Visited this lovely restaurant today with my son. We chose well. Food excellent. Staff friendly and very attentive. Pavlova was to die for. 10/10 from us and we will definitely call again and recommend it to others 👍
