17/09/2025: Pretty good / decent enough size car park. And a very handy convenient location just off the M7 Motorway and close to Limerick City. Good size Bar / restaurant with an upstairs, 2nd story level and a wide selection of setting and table options. With a relatively varied menu that should suit all tastes, palettes and most dietary requirements ! With a good, friendly, helpful, outgoing, chatty staff who provided a very good, quick, speedy, effect and very satisfactory service.

30/08/2025: My fiance, her family and I visited the East Room at Plassey House for her graduation yesterday. The food the service and the ambiance were all first class. Goran and the rest of the front of house staff took care of us from the second we arrived and made our evening special. Would definitely recommend.

23/08/2025: The dining room felt rundown, decor was tired, the table linen was frayed and looked well used and plastic flowers on the table. The breads were so burnt the crusts were inedible. The crab starter tasted nice but it contained less than half a teaspoon of crabmeat. The Halibut main course was supposed to include mussels, but didn't. The featherblade steak, was cooked well but the accompanying skin that should have been crispy was undercooked. The skin-on fries arrived in an unclean, greasy wooden bowl which was very off-putting. Dessert was described as a warm cherry cake, wasn't warm and was so small it was difficult to find. Overall, very disappointing.

03/11/2025: 3 out of 4 times I went here I was satisfied and delighted. Ambiance and food just leaves me wanting to go back again. I always get the pork belly but got a bad one once so consistency isn’t their strongest suit. Oh and have I mentioned their appetizers and desserts - don’t skip them! I recommend to get the full course.

04/08/2025: Stayed for one night bed, breakfast and dinner with my good friend. We had 2 single rooms, bed and pillows were so comfortable. Everything catered for in the room. Fabulous old world charming building, with its own orchard and garden growing herbs, vegetables, flowers etc. The food was amazing. Dinner menu had varied choices to suit and was presented so well. The homemade bread was fabulous. I had scallop for starter and Monkfish for mains and a rhubarb dessert. All delicious. My friend had a fish starter and rack of lamb. Potato and vegetable served on the side along with a cheese board. Food was fantastic. We really enjoyed our evening. The owner John Edward hands on approach is wonderful, a true professional 👏 and to all his team. There was a personal friendly feel. I would definitely go back there again. Great value for money. It would be a very special place for a small wedding, family get together, or friends gathering for a night or two. We bumped into old friends of mine who joined us in the drawing room for a great catch up. Added bonus to our lovely stay at The Mustard Seed. They accept blue book vouchers too.

07/10/2025: I dropped into Bobby Byrnes Gastro Pub in O Connel St Limerick this evening Thursday the 18th of December Absolutely gem of a bar restaurant All the staff made me feel so welcome and at home Especially the Lady called Aishling? who served me and looked after me Plus I also booked a table for 4 for tomorrow evening it was that good Guinness world class and the food was awesome Thank you for looking me Kind regards John P Corbett

09/05/2025: Stani was so accommodating to my last minute request for a cake. 1 week before. We emailed a few times and she took the order. Arrived to collect on a Sunday and it was amazingly done. Loads of detail on the cake. We expected this to be a chocolate biscuit cake ( as i hadnt specified a preferance and that is the norm usually) but when we cut in we were delighted to see a 4 layer chocolate sponge and chocolate buttercream icing. The cake was delicious and everyone enjoyed it so much at the celebration. It was well presented and
