Hunt museum cafe
Limerick
19/11/2025: We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Hunt Museum last Saturday between 3–4pm, thanks to our wonderful tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging and clearly passionate about the history of Limerick and the collection in the museum.
He gave us a fascinating overview of the origins and evolution of the city, weaving together historical facts with memorable storytelling. His explanations of the paintings and the stories behind them added so much depth and context, things we never would have noticed or understood on our own. Every question we asked was answered with insight and enthusiasm.
The tour was the highlight of our visit to Limerick and we left feeling enriched, inspired and with a much deeper appreciation for both the museum and the city itself!
14/11/2025: The best thing about the museum was it was so quiet. You can easily cover everything in one hour.

Taikichi
Limerick
30/11/2025: It was our first visit to the restaurant, and unfortunately we left disappointed. The temaki was incredibly small (the smallest I've seen in Ireland and whole world to be honest!) and a tiny piece of salmon. , The edamame didn’t taste very fresh.
There was also an issue with the card machine not working, and I was directed to the cash machine across the street. When I returned, the cash I withdrew was not accepted, which made the situation uncomfortable.
I hope this feedback is helpful, as we were really looking forward to the experience and would love to see improvements.
29/11/2025: Best sushi place in limerick by far, beautifully furnished small restaurant. I've been here multiple times and its always been exceptional. I would recommend trying the spider roll, its amazing

The Top House
Annacotty
23/11/2025: Having opted for somewhere to eat that we'd never had experienced before, I can honestly say that'll be my first and last time having food here. Food was on the warmer side of cold. Steak sandwich was poor, baguette was small and hard/stale, steak was minimal and barely warm as were the chips. Daughters chicken wings were a ridiculously small quantity for a mains having had chicken wings in several other establishments in Limerick city with a larger quantity of wings for far less money and better quality. My wife's beef burger was pretty similar to my steak sandwich. Glad we didn't go for a starter and definitely weren't going for dessert having had the disappointment of the mains. Staff were pleasant but it's first place I have dined in that I hadn't been asked either while eating or having finished a meal, "if everything was okay". Anyway, won't be back
18/11/2025: Service was a little slow, given that we had submitted our order in advance, but having said that none of our group of 21 had any complaints about the food.

Foley's
14/09/2025: Staff could not have being nicer. The food was excellent there was 5 adults and 2 children in our party and everyone's meal was very good. Our 6 year old got a burger from the kid s menu and it was something else. Even he said. Better than mc Donald's which is high praise from him
09/09/2025: This place was just ok all around.
Burger was a touch disappointing but chips were good & the garlic cheesy bread as well. Prices are too high for mediocre quality

Woodfield House Hotel
Limerick
19/12/2025: Dined here recently, good spot in the Ennis Road area to stop for food. Little bit out of Limerick City centre but if in the vicinity for Gaelic Grounds/Thomond Park/TUS/Millenium Theatre, this place is ideal. Good food and service.
30/11/2025: Lovely hotel about 3kms from the city centre. Loads of surface parking out the back, lovely staff. Comfortable bedrooms, good bar food and a big heated outdoor seating area. Always stay here when in Limerick.

Aroma Coffee House
Limerick
16/09/2025: Value for money, friendly staff
13/09/2025: Small but super cute, went there on a late Saturday afternoon to read a book and got a place to sit, I imagine it would be very hard to find a seat at breakfast/lunchtime. The single seats are unfortunately high seats so a bit uncomfortable to stay longer then 30ish mins but I understand they're there to save on space. The coffee was nice and I got a super cute design, I also got a brownie and it was fab, not too sweet. Highly recommend

Zest
Limerick
12/09/2025: A nice break from the shopping in Caseys
13/08/2025: The place was really great value for money. We ordered some large trays of chicken curry and some breads that were fantastic. Staff were really friendly and the dining area cool to sit in. Only in a hot sunny day sitting with all those windows got a bit hot but at least it's Ireland we don't get many of those. There were tables away from the windows as well.
