29/09/2024: Edit: I was maybe a bit harsh with this review. IPA was bitter and not great, but the political messaging in the place is a real turn off to people who don’t already subscribe to those belief systems. I think you’re turning away customers with that kind of stuff.

20/10/2024: Myself and my husband had our wedding reception at The Dunraven Arms in July 2024 and we cannot speak highly enough of our experience throughout. From the first day of meeting Louis and his staff, we were made to feel so welcome and were so assured by their kindness and professionalism. In preparing for the day, we were given ample time by Louis to meet, discuss and plan everything according to our wishes. The day itself will be etched in our memories for the rest of our lives. Everything was top class from start to finish. The food, the staff, the ambience. We could not have wished for better. Our enthusiasm was shared by our many guests who were effusive in their praise of the hotel, the entire staff, and the delicious meal enjoyed by all. A special word of thanks to Hugh, Denis, Mariah and the wider catering staff. In summary, we loved our time at The Dunraven Arms. The staff were all exceptional and the standard of catering and accommodation was superb. A very sincere thank you to you all. Hats off on a job superbly done. Mary Thérèse and Brendan Crowley

18/10/2024: A disappointing stay in The Dunraven for me. I had a lovely memory of a break here a number of years ago. As a result I booked a two night's special, as a treat for my husband, who is recovering from recent surgery. I thought he would benefit from some peace and quiet in warm comfortable surroundings. I was so taken aback when we were shown to our room. A ghastly, lurid electric blue, hard leather sofa and chair assaulted our senses. Gone also were the carpets and curtains and everything that contributed to that lovely memory of my previous stay. The room was the opposite of calm and restful. I had a visceral reaction to the jarring colour and lack of comfortable seating and asked if we could move to another room with soft furnishings. I was told this wasn't possible without paying extra for an upgrade to a junior suite, all the executive rooms were decorated to the same standard. I had to pay the extra to escape the awful decor. Visitors beware, if hard leather electric blue seating is your thing, you'll be in heaven, otherwise you might share my dismay at the "upgrade". In the hotel's favour the bed was magnificent, it was like sleeping on a cloud. The breakfasts too were excellent. A special mention to Alyssia and Anyssia in the dining room, they were so lovely, gentle and professional and helped lift our spirits.

23/08/2024: Lovely pub but music very loud. No escape, even outside. Not my kind of music (disco I'm told) but everyone else seemed happy enough. Really nice pub otherwise. Very mixed crowd which is always nice.

08/09/2024: V disappointing service and abuse from Maureen tonight, ordered over the phone got a burger tat was not correct and was told I didn't hear rite, then my daughter returned it for refund and told my 12 yr old, I didn't hear rite, so wish calls are recorded, and also told me when I rang how she spoke to my daughter embarrassing her in a busy shop I am always complaining, not the truth unless food wrong, which happens a bit tbh. Luv tis chipper and spend alot of money weekly and just felt really talked down to and annoyed to have to post tis,

14/11/2024: Often go to the Westward Ho, unfortunately the food was not good during this visit. Soup was not blended which did not suit some at the table,some items of the mains were over cooked some under cooked, chips tasted like they were re heated more than once. The service overall was slow but the staff were very pleasant. Disappointing visit

30/10/2024: Always brilliant! Group of 5 friends. Fantastic service, very tasty food. Steaks were amazing. Not an ounce of fat on them. This place never fails us.
