The best restaurants in Wicklow

14/09/2026: 43 Euros 65 cents for food that was very hard to eat. Far too much cold salad - a plate of salad with our orders - Salad with a ham and cheese bap and for the kids with sausage rolls. I could stomach it, and it didn't taste too bad in all fairness. But for the kids they couldn't stomach cold potatoes and mountains of coleslaw. I don't know this cost much - how is it possible? Sausage rolls can cost a Euros or two in town, and salad is salad. Cold salad too. Nothing special. Very disappointing.

19/07/2026: Nice cafe with plenty of place to sit outside, inside, in the shadow, on the sun. Coffee was good.

22/07/2026: My experience with Naomi was flawless from start to finish! I reached out with maybe a more unique request, and Naomi delivered beyond my expectations! She was prompt with responding, detail orientated and an absolute joy to plan with. If you are considering baked goods for a special occasion, you won’t find better service or taste anywhere else. The personalisation and delivery was exceptional and I assure you that you won’t get a better and more personal experience elsewhere. Thank you so much again!

26/06/2025: I paid a visit to to this cafe while passing through the town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I ordered a toasted chicken and stuffing sandwich which arrived promptly and was delicious. I would highly recommend this cafe

10/05/2026: Always a pleasure to pop in for a treat. Real old fashioned baking. We also got a fresh cream birthday cake personalised with our own photo. It tasted like heaven and they were so helpful with my order So lucky to have them in arklow, a pillar of the community

13/12/2024: i’ve been here many times and the staff are very rude, the cookies were disgusting, and way they’re too expensive for their quality.

03/11/2023: Delicious coffee and good service, but the decor and ambiance aren't really to my taste.

30/08/2025: Ate in Hugo’s restaurant. Food was ok but not what we would have expected in a 5 star hotel. Service was appalling however. We had a birthday celebration and the birthday guest asked for both of her dishes to have small changes (sauce served on side). Multiple waiters failed to either listen or process and the dishes were served without the changes as requested. Otherwise, it’s a nice hotel and a good location, but it’s a bit too Fawlty Towers for my liking.

01/03/2026: I had a very disappointing experience with Cake Angel. I ordered a specific cake and even provided a photo as a reference. Unfortunately, I received a completely different cake without any explanation. It was only after I followed up I learned that Alison was unable to make the cake I had ordered and should have communicated this beforehand. This was particularly disappointing given that the cake was ordered well in advance. Despite being in touch prior to the collection date, Alison did not consider it important to inform me that she would not be able to make the cake as requested.
