The best restaurants in Wicklow

14/07/2024: Visited here a few times whilst staying at druids glen and as it would turn out 3 differing experiences food wise. Started with Afternoon Tea the day we checked in with petson i was staying at hotel with and it was both our first time having such. The service was top notch. The menu was very tasty across the board and overall very enjoyable. First evening we quickly realised that in order to avoid sitting in the bar or a long wait reservations are required as it can be busy. Eating in bar wasnt that enjoyable seats way to low which when your over 6ft isnt easy. Food the first night well when you order the steak which on the plus side was cooked the way i liked but was as tough as anything to cut through very sinnuy and you end up saying the garnishes were far more plesent to eat then that aint good for price. Even more so when you wish you had ordered the smoked salmon begal the other person had. Service was good Second night we had the sense to book but again where we sat made for a challenging experience again due to how low seats were. This made the experience of eatting the very tasty pasta we both ordered an interesting challenge so we didnt spill or drop it. Again though service excellent The two drink only experiences we excellent. Cocktails are made fresh to order and even made me a mojito which wasnt on menu. A couple of quibbles one wish bulmers was on draft instead of bottle and second wish for rock shandy they had club orange and lemon instead of fanta. Been a whiskey geek decent selection wish they had the local fercullen whiskey range. Overall enjoyable. Prices a little punchy for bar menu but quality overall excellent apart from the vey chewy, sinnuy hard to cut steak.

06/04/2024: Lovely comfortable setting with very welcoming and friendly staff. Food is basically overpriced bar food with a burger and chips for E25. Children's menu is well below par. Very disappointing. Frozen pizza should never be served in a 5 star hotel! Service fantastic, food mediocre and over-priced.

14/12/2024: The chips were absolutely superb the whole chippy was well lit with perfect lighting and the staff working were delightful. the perfect place to go to quench that chippy itch.

02/08/2024: I have been burning candles for years & by far the Max Benjamin's candles are the nicest.. They burn down evenly & the fact this is an Irish company is just the icing on the cake.. I bought the Mimosa and Sweet Amber from the old fragrances & it was beyond beautiful.. Unfortunately, it's now discontinued 😌

12/05/2024: Very nice scent. However, had to pour liquid into an empty diffuser bottle with wide-angled reeds to get the desired effect. Now, it works perfectly! Unfortunately, the new bottle/design with the reeds standing almost upright, doesn’t work for me.

09/03/2024: Lovely venue, a great welcome, great food and great value value for money. The portions are very generous, fab sea bass and black pudding dishes 😋

20/08/2024: The best restaurant I've had the opportunity to visit in a very long time, and the best in Ireland after a month's visit. For a very reasonable price (78 euros) the menu is simply incredible. Furthermore, the service is impeccable, the cocktails very good, and the wines of excellent quality and at a fair price.

08/08/2024: Absolutely fantastic service, very polite friendly service from the staff. We were guests with a 1year old baby and couldn’t have been more welcomed. The food was top top drawer. Simple as. I only gave 5 stars because there was no sixth.
