26/05/2026: Service is very poor as we walked in an no one approached us or let us know where to sit! We ordered the steak sandwich and it was literally a lump of steak on bread? I have never in my life had a steak sandwich like that. It was expensive and lacked seasoning. We also asked for the steak to be medium rare but it was practically well done and chewy. Honestly a waste of money :/

26/05/2026: I went because it looks beautiful but my friend and I order a burger each and they took almost an hour and a half to bring them and that was only because we asked one of the waitress if our food was coming or not after we saw all the tables around us had already their meals even when they ordered after us. She took care of the situation but nobody came to ask if we still wanted our food and just brought it on the next 10 mins or less without apologising or acknowledging their mistake because they clearly had forgotten about it. After that, the waitress, Hannah, who solved the situation at first was the only one that took constant care of our service and was friendly but the whole situation delayed our plans and kept us hungry for a while. We both work in hospitality and we can understand delays or mistakes happen, but at least they could have asked if we still wanted the food and take accountability for the mistake.

26/03/2025: Nice cafe but toilets are always dirty. Toilets need proper cleaning. Sometimes staff aren't busy and just chat instead of cleaning place.

20/04/2025: We had a family lunch on Easter Sunday in Hugo’s Restaurant. Rayon and Saibhe provided excellent service. The food was delicious and the set menu was good value. There was entertainment for children in the hotel ballroom which was a nice touch and my daughter loved the face-painting and balloon making. Overall a lovely lunch experience.

01/08/2023: DON'T ORDER FROM HERE! They are closed down, They didn't do any admin for their site or any 3rd party applications, I put an order in for €50 only to find out they were closed down when the order didn't confirm for 10 minutes. No update to any of their information other than a handwritten sign on the door of the shop. I'm currently talking with the Garda to get this money back to my account as this is effectively fraud. 24/09/2024: Perfect food with good portion sizes and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Also so many options of food to choose from. Can’t recommend enough!

30/12/2024: Very disappointed, I ordered a wrap with side salad. Received a wrap with a spoon of potato salad and a tidy amount of crisps. Mens toilet was disgusting, not cleaned .

11/07/2024: This is our 2nd time here this week the atmosphere and drinks/snacks are great. Really good value and my family loved the local pub atmosphere. Everyone knows everyone My daughter asked for extra side with her order and not a problem. Lovely little rural pub with good food. They want to return before they leave next week
