Grainstore Restaurant
Aughrim
26/05/2025: The food was very good but the service was disappointing. Very slow for everything— ordering, drinks, food, and they got our drinks order wrong (I had to insist when they claimed it was correct, admitting eventually that they had run out of what I ordered.) The waitress actually said “I hope it was worth the wait”!

04/12/2023: Food was amazing But I almost lost my order so -1 star
30/11/2023: Visited on Saturday for our first time out with the little one and it was amazing. Having ran pizzerias myself in the past I can be very critical however this hit the mark on all aspects especially on service where the host/manager was lovely and congratulated us with a starter on the house. This is what I call going the extra mile and I look forward to returning to this establishment. The bathrooms are immaculate also which is also a positive when you have a child who is quite young.

The Meath Arms Bed and Breakfast
Aughrim
12/04/2025: Excellent friendly staff so helpful and inviting, food was good but so expensive €25 for fish and chips come on it's not a seaside town (freshly caught fish) portions very small I still felt hungry leaving,if they had a food menu display and prices outside the hotel we would have walked away.

Tinakilly Restaurant
05/04/2025: My sons brought me here for lunch as a Mothers’ Day treat. We were directed to a dining room which we could smell before we could see it: an overpowering chemical smell which made the simple act of breathing deeply unpleasant.
The room felt like an overspill space - not the main dining room we were used to from previous visits, The decor of the room was so bad I struggle to find words - the sickly green colour on the walls, the random furniture to name just a couple of its problems. The broom cupboard left open with mops and trays of glasses (together!) on view as we walked in added to the impression of a little-used overspill area. We would have ordered a glass of something to mark the occasion if we’d been asked. The staff were rushing around, clearly under pressure and the food had arrived before we had a chance to order any drinks. At that stage we decided just to eat up and get out of there as fast as possible. Two positives: the staff were pleasant and the apple pie was delicious. Overall verdict however: depressingly awful.

18/05/2025: Terrific coffee, teas, and eats. Great staff. Very friendly, welcoming, and cheerful. From the second floor terrace you can look out over The Strand and the Bray Seafront. Not a coincidence we made it here every day for our start!
