The best restaurants in Cork city council

09/07/2026: I used deliveroo for this order and got my regular large burrito wrap, unfortunately they sent me a really small one that too untoasted and when asked for a refund or a replacement both deliveroo and restaurant denied any help at first, then after 2 hours of chatting and then another day of chatting with deliveroo and endless emails to zambrero they agreed on some refund and vouchers but I denied cuz just for one wrong order which wasn't even my fault I have to keep on checking with both of them for a refund seems like a really low bar for customer service. Sorry.

22/08/2026: We ordered online for collection from Dinos Bishopstown. We normally go to the Ballincollig location, but after having a few disappointing experiences there recently, we decided to give the Bishopstown location a try instead. Unfortunately, we were left very disappointed again. When we got home after collecting our order, we realised that a garlic cheese chips, which was part of my meal, was missing. I then had to drive all the way back to Bishopstown to have it sorted. When I explained what had happened and asked if my meal could be remade, as it had gone cold after having to drive back out because of their mistake, the gentleman behind the counter made a face as though I was being unreasonable for asking. He said he needed to speak to a manager, which is fair enough, but while my food was being remade, both he and the girl at the counter were sniggering about the situation between themselves. I found this extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable, particularly when I was already inconvenienced by an error that wasn’t mine. I do want to mention that the Irish lady who I assume was the manager was absolutely lovely. She was very kind, apologised for the mistake and handled the situation professionally, so I have no complaints about her whatsoever. Unfortunately, the food itself wasn’t great either. The chips were stale and tasted as though they had been sitting around and then put back into the oil to heat them up. Considering the time and money spent, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. We genuinely hoped Bishopstown would be better than our recent experiences in Ballincollig, but unfortunately it seems Dinos has really gone downhill across the board. There are plenty of other chippers around that provide much better food and, more importantly, basic customer service and professionalism. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time and money here.

18/08/2026: Its been a while since I had gone to that pub. I used to go there for lunch with my parents and there used to be an amazing carvery and a great choice of sandwiches (hot and cold). I must say its all changed. When we walked in I was looking around as it was so changed inside but a waitress came straight to us and sat us at a table by the main entrance which wasn't very private or cosy. The pub was practically empty and I would have preferred to sit by a window. We were given a very small choice menu. I took a cajun chicken sandwich which was very sad looking. Barely buttered, a slice of lettuce and a piece of flavourless chicken in the middle. It was dry and tasteless. I was disappointed with my food and the cost.

23/08/2026: i dont like when places like yours or others making people fools..Customers should stop buying on weekend.Prices are fixed you cant rise prices if people are drunk on weekend and after 11 pm...I turn around and walk away..scam...Dublin prices even better ..

29/07/2026: Miserable food! The food looked and tasted stale. When the waiter came to ask if everything was okay, we said no, it wasn't great. Answer was: "okay..." and left. Not even a show of concern. We had to pay €36.80 for food we couldn't eat. Shameful.

09/07/2026: My experience was unfortunately not positive. I placed an order through Too Good To Go and arrived at the store about 12 minutes before 7:30 PM. The pickup time had already been announced on the app, but the attendant didn't even look at me and, quite rudely, simply said that pickup would be at 7:30 PM. What bothered me most wasn't waiting a few minutes, but the way I was treated. Too Good To Go is an official partner of the store, and customers shouldn't be treated with disregard for using this service. If the staff disagrees with how the partnership works, that's a matter between the company and the app, not with those who are following the stated rules. Furthermore, I didn't think the contents of the bag offered good value for money. Based on my experience, I wouldn't buy from Too Good To Go again at this location. I hope the store invests in a more cordial and welcoming service for all customers, regardless of how they make their purchase.

23/03/2026: We were looking for some food after the cinema and found here. The lady taking the order was really lovely and the food was excellent and very good value. The interior needs some renovation.

16/05/2026: Tried this place tonight for the first time and will definitely be going back. Food seemed a bit expensive at first glance but the food was lovely and the portion sizes were massive. The staff were really friendly as well. Very impressed all round.

25/08/2026: As an out of town (out of country) tourist I did go in expecting that sort of locals-only welcome here. The lights were on, music pumping, tables full, vibes were high. Reminded me of bouncing pubs of yesteryear, community venues, places to go and have fun. It didn't ever feel exclusive though, grabbed my pint, sat at the table near the bogs, and watched the golf with the older crowd. One and done, but one I enjoyed.

07/09/2025: I’ve been to Golden Bites today, the new shop on Washington Street, with my young son. We were warmly welcomed, and the atmosphere was very pleasant and aesthetically nice. However, I do have some concerns. When placing my order, I made it very clear that my cappuccino should be made with oat milk (for health reasons I cannot consume dairy). Unfortunately, I received a cappuccino with regular milk. I didn’t complain at the time because I’m not the type of person who likes to create conflict at an establishment, but I mentioned twice at the counter that it should be with oat milk. Another point: I’m not sure if I was charged for two portions of grilled buttered bread since I received four slices, but I only ordered one portion, which I believe should be two slices. I also wasn’t given a receipt, so I couldn’t verify the charge. Once again, the environment is very pleasant, and the staff was kind and attentive. However, we have already experienced issues with delivery orders in the past — missing items, wrong orders, etc. I expected that visiting in person would be different, but unfortunately, the same kind of issues happened. This makes it a little difficult to want to return. I truly hope this is just something temporary due to the new location

03/05/2026: I have bad experience yesterday I bought Thai red curry & red Tom kha gai soup & I could not tell difference between them. Thai red curry did not felt like curry & consistency was almost wali to soup. I most of the time eat here, but I was very disappointed with the curry standard. Hope you take this recommendation & improve the curry consistency.
