The best restaurants in Cork city council

02/07/2025: Every single time I go to this place they get my order wrong, and it takes at least two tries to get it right. All I ever order from here is a plain halloumi burger with sweet chilli sauce NOT sweet chilli mayo and Every single time i either get a burger with sweet chilli mayo or with everything on it. Is it really that difficult to make a plain burger with sauce?

13/02/2025: It went from 4 stars to 1 star! I went here on December 19, 2024, on my birthday as a treat with my friends, and my experience was terrible! I got a burger with cheese and onions and 7up, and it all came to €14, and after I ate here, and had cake with my friends, and went for a rest, I woke up vomiting after 2 hours and 9 minutes! The time it happened was from 15:56-16:04, and I felt sick that I had to cancel my visit to my friend's birthday on December 20th! The food was really bad, the fries were not bad, and the 7up was average. This was the worst experience I ever had, €14 gone after getting sick after having fun from 2 hours and 9 minutes! That's the last time I visit here, and I will not eat here anymore, I gave it 4 stars, but now it's 1 star! I'll avoid eating here for now on, and I will have burgers in McDonald's, KFC, Burger King, and more! Won't eat here again, unfortunately! 👎👎

17/08/2025: Kura sushi has not only amazing food but also staff! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, plus you can see them working hard at making every dish! The food was incredible, we liked it so much we came back the next day. California roll was so refreshing, the spicy chicken roll was not too spicy (perfect for me), the tempura prawns were light and crispy, the prawn katsu was beyond amazing! Over all this place is worth a visit!!

13/12/2024: Lovely place for a pint, Willie junior and senior are very welcoming. Theres a Dart board or pool table and when the fire is on it's hard to leave the place.

22/08/2025: Exactly what you want for a late night, post-pub recovery mission. The guys even threw in some complementary chips when I only ordered the fish. Had to chuckle at the leftover covid measures that were still up on the counter.

09/08/2025: The taste is amazing, the staff is very friendly. It is a bit overpriced, but definitely worth a visit. Their spice level are a bit skewed to the milder side, so if you have even a little spice tolerance go for fiery. Chicken was very juicy and tasteful and was served within 10 mins.

07/08/2025: Rude staff terrible service . 3 people at our table today and they got all our orders wrong. When it was pointed out the girls threw dirty looks and where extremely rude never again will we set foot in the place .

07/04/2025: Called in for quiet casual drinks. Very unfriendly team. We both said hello. Non verbal back. Not even a smile. Thankfully no food served here. Toilets disgraceful, filty. Toilet roll dispensers and hand soaps dispensers all opened and hanging down. 3 toilets filthy. 1 toilet sanitary bucket on top of lid with a stand on floor as not to go in. Loose taps. Hand drys blowing cold hair. Very run down place.

29/11/2024: Como local siempre me ha gustado este lugar, pero tengo que decir que ha cambiado completamente en el último año. Si bien las pintas son un € 5 que es genial, la calidad de las instalaciones no es grande. La falta de mantenimiento parece ser el mayor problema, especialmente en los baños femeninos. Es una lástima ya que podría ser un establecimiento fantástico para todos.

10/05/2025: Great food at a good price. Not fancy decor but we were there for the food! A good range to choose from and Jimmy and his staff were authentic. Wine prices were reasonable too.

21/04/2025: Nice restaurant. Not many options for vegetarians but lots of options in non veg and it really tastes good..!!

07/06/2025: The restaurant is a nice setting off the lobby of hotel. I didn't think the food was anything special, but the service provided by the staff was excellent.

26/05/2025: Beautiful restaurant, staff are warm and attentive. Lunch menu is small but perfectly formed, covers lighter bites and a more substantial meal. The stuffed chicken breast was 11/10. Lovely for a group catch up or solo dining. I will be back!

10/08/2025: Delicious food and nice place, the wings are very good and the lasagna too, a little less so the mushrooms and the meat of the day, still a good place to stop and a very nice and attentive waitress

30/05/2025: Waitress was so rude and food was awful, you could tell the oil hadn’t been changed in days. The girl acted like it was bothering her that she had to do her job, she shouted across the bar talking about how “manky” a group of customers were to another coworker, didn’t come check on us once to see if we liked the food and when i asked her could i get the sauce on the side for the food i was ordering she rolled her eyes and said no. She also had to ask the table next to us what was on the menu because she didn’t know herself. She got their food wrong and tried to convince them that was what the ordered and what they wanted wasn’t on the menu when it was! Food was drenched in oil, soggy in some parts and dry in others. I didn’t know it was possible for food to be both dry and greasy at the same time.

29/05/2025: It’s gone down in my estimations. Food is thrown together and not half as nice as the naturaly nourished food in the city. Had a curry and the chicken was dry and there wasn’t much sauce either. Disappointed especially when it’s not cheap.

28/06/2025: really weird vibe in there, felt unsafe. everything was overpriced, too and the sound quality was bad.

24/05/2025: Live this place and the entertainment it runs is unique in Cork.

21/08/2025: Absolutely amazing place, the staff are so friendly and accommodating, the owner came over to welcome us and ask if everything was to our liking, The food is so tasty too and very reasonable

06/07/2025: Been going there for 10 years. The boss knows us by going there. Never ever once gave us a free pint.
