The best restaurants in Cork city council

17/01/2025: Had a Irish ham, salad sandwich , which was fine and tasty. Also choose a spiced apple slice, equally as fine and tasty!

14/01/2025: We mentioned this bakery, in the ratings for the park. Really nice food and drink, it's just a shame we don't live closer, so we can go every weekend.

29/08/2025: We weren’t expecting much of Aye, to be honest. We just met a couple of friends there to grab a couple of pints and, by the end of it, we were in awe with their food. We started by ordering the crispy sushi rice and they were incredibly tasty with just the right amount of spice to it. After that, we noticed we were still hungry, so we ordered two other dishes to nibble at while drinking: the Garlic & Chilli Atlantic Prawns and the Shredded Chicken. The Atlantic Prawns were very good, but a bit expensive for its size (€16). But the Shredded Chicken was the highlight of the evening. Incredibly tasty and its price was very good for its portion size. The staff serving us were very efficient and super friendly during the whole evening and I wish I knew their names because they deserve the compliments and recognition.

10/06/2025: Me and two of my friends went out for something quick to eat and drink. The food was fabulous and the service was quick and very pleasant. The atmosphere was lovely. Couldn't be happier. We've had the charcuterie board, smashed potatoes and spicy king prawns. All were top-notch 👌

13/07/2025: I don't know why, but the coffee here always tastes like crap. I don't know if it is the batista or just this Starbucks as if I get the drink in another Starbucks, it tastes fantastic.

04/05/2025: Service - We didn't know that the store closes at 6 pm(we don't come here often) went in with a baby, sat the baby down. Ordered 3 Toasties and 2 flat whites. Lady at the till never once mentioned that they're closing in 10 minutes, instead just gave us everything in takeaway bags. It was only after we complained, that the supervisor asked us to take our time. Food - Flat whites were extremely watered down. Tasted like it was sitting out for the whole day. Toasties didn't agree with us. Let's just say it was a marathon to and from the toilet the whole night. Please improve your quality.

18/07/2025: Popped in because we heard live music. Had a quick pint of Storehouse lager, not our favorite but needed to try it. Open space bar, more modern with the TV and projector so i guess it depends what you are looking for

11/06/2025: Nice place and could be 5 stars But price for Hawaian breast in bun is mad . 9 euros you pay for extra mini slice of pineapple and skiny slice of bacon. It's not right. Bun is not bigger than a standard breast in bun . Jaw drop on the floor. A way too expensive. And if you want meal add 4.5 extra 😳

25/05/2025: Llegó el sábado por la noche. La joven detrás del mostrador era encantador, muy educado y acogedor. La comida salió bastante rápido, tal vez 10 minutos más o menos. Lo único es que estaba un poco caliente por dentro, pero la comida en sí era preciosa. Volvería a aparecer seguro.

24/07/2025: Very good coffee is drunk here with some very good snacks, although everything is very good, breakfast, lunch and snacks, the competition is very fierce here in the city of Cork in relation to cafes and snack bars. A few years ago, you didn't see a cafe, so to speak!!! Now they are everywhere. What I mean is that this cafe called Noir has to create its brand, its specialty, so that people are interested and identify with it. I hope it stays open for a long time and I wish you the best of luck in its development.

03/07/2025: Had brunch here last Sunday morning. Group of 4. Lovely cafe . Food was delicious but the staff especially Denise were so friendly . Would definitely recommend and return.

05/08/2025: Very YUMMY drinks food yummy one thing i ordered and payed for a tall aka large strawberry acai refresher guess what they gave me a small done in 5 minutes literally but VERY nice service 4/5 well done very good food and the only starbucks i ever go to!!

24/07/2025: Nice ambience and very clean, but the cappuccino was disappointing and tasted of burnt coffee beans. It was quite, but freezing cold.

24/07/2025: I recently stayed at this hotel, and I have to say, the staff was a major letdown. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was bothering them. The front desk staff (Martha) seemed uninterested and gave off the vibe that they'd rather be anywhere else. Throughout my stay, I encountered similar attitudes from other staff members. Requests were met with delays, and it felt like pulling teeth to get any kind of assistance. It's a shame because the hotel itself had potential, but the poor service really dragged down the whole experience. I won't be returning, and I'd advise others to consider other options where the staff actually cares about their guests. We had tried to complain to the manager Joe about the attitude of his staff, he told us “customers like you are not worth being customers”.

05/08/2025: The food is wonderful and the place has a great vibe. However, the service could be improved. During my visit, there were three staff members inside the café chatting, while the outdoor area was full and the staff member assigned outside seemed overwhelmed. I understand that there may be designated roles for indoor and outdoor service, but when the outside is busy, it would be helpful if the indoor staff could step in and assist. More attention and proactiveness from the team would really enhance the overall experience.

28/07/2025: Very cheap very tasy high quality food. Staff are lovely too. if you’re looking for a place to eat this definitely is it definitely recommended.

05/08/2025: Best bar outside the city center, amazing little nooks to be left alone as well as large open areas for large party's or functions. Amazing bar food. Id like to see some unusual Irish whiskey on the shelf to complement the already unusual mezcals and other cool bottles. Top marks.
