22/04/2025: I had a great time at Old Reliable Irish Pub! I picked it off Google just wanting a quick pint, and I am so glad I did. It use to be a Mens only pub 20 years ago. 02/10/2025: I was there last night. We didn't know they closed the door at 6pm there was still a queue, so we popped in to grab our coffee. The stuff didn't say anything they will close the shop. There were still a few ppl inside. Anyway, we grab our coffee and sit down on the table, and then the boy named Jose or a very similar name starts screaming "guys we are closing," in a very rude way. We were actually kicked out. The coffee was disgusting. Milk was burnt order were wrong. Was actually a very bad experience. I definitely will not go back there!!

19/08/2025: Outstanding service and very friendly workers all you want see, people full of energy and the customers not wanted wait to much time, it’s like a production line never stop or if something wrong happens only with machines a part of that Starbucks keeps rolling, Starbucks franchise is one of the best you can get is half away for success.

15/10/2025: Even when it's busy (and it can be quite busy), the staff always take the time to fill the burrito to a high standard. Also, they are always friendly and at times I can see they're under pressure but they are very patient and friendly with kids. My 5 year old loves it, and he only wants burritos from Zambrero so I put that down to the friendly atmosphere the staff create. Also, I never had an issue with the food, they're generous with the fillings and we do leave full and satisfied and as my son says...."it's Delicious".

30/09/2025: Crazy prices for mediocre food. I got a large burrito with double beef, cost me €17 and I was struggling to find the beef. Absolute joke!

25/10/2025: Coffee was nice to be fair ,but the staff are horrid ! I bought 2 capuchinos and one latte from the cafe Marius .As I was drinking my coffee me and my mother pulled out a muffin we had from earlier (to match to me coffee I just bought ) I got screamed at by the staff that it’s not allowed to bring personal food even tho I bought 3 coffees from them just 2 mins earlier.Disgusting attitude

12/09/2025: I don’t just want The Cottage… I ache for it. The mere thought of their food sends shivers down my spine. The way the curry clings to the rice, silky and luscious, feels almost indecent. The naan — soft, warm, perfectly charred — is a scandal I can’t resist sinking my teeth into. Every order is an intoxicating rendezvous. I open the bag and the steam rises like a lover’s sigh, teasing me, taunting me, promising satisfaction. One bite in, and I’m undone. The Cottage doesn’t just feed me; it possesses me. This isn’t takeaway — it’s temptation incarnate. I’d give it a thousand stars if I could, because five isn’t nearly enough to capture the delicious torment of craving The Cottage.” Everytime I step through those doors and smell the aroma of the curry cooking in the back I just KNOW that mr shaikh and his son Nauman are cooking up a storm!

31/10/2025: i bought garlic bread from here and to be fair they gave us a lot but my god was it a waste. it tastes like i was eating RAW garlic with a bit of bread it was the most vile garlic bread i've EVER eaten do NOT waste your money on this i can't even call it food this is a disgrace it's atrocious preposterous even my goodness if i could take back time id never buy this greasy disgrace i wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy a homeless man on the side of the road could do better my goodness. i am appalled. they're pizza tho that's a diffrent story. it was pretty good my friend likes it more but eh

31/10/2025: We went in for some food and were told when we ordered all sandwiches and wraps are already pre-made and we weren’t allowed to make any modifications to them. Upon hearing this information we expected food to be done quickly as toasted sandwiches and wraps don’t take long to make. We waited 40 minutes before our food was brought out to us while multiple tables that ordered after us were served. When the food arrived there was no red onions in the wrap and no sauce, it was meant to be Cajun chicken and there was no flavour at all, the outside was hot but cheese on the inside was not melted. The garlic bread might as well have been just bread and cheese as there wasn’t even the slightest hint of garlic. They also don’t have sweet chili sauce. Not once in the hour that we were there did anyone come up to check on us or offer us anything more. Also the pricing for a bottle of still ballygowan water was €3 the same price as a coke zero and for water that is expensive. Overall very disappointing and probably will not be returning the food wasn’t nice and the service was poor.

07/10/2025: Very similar experience to those listed; was expecting a 'Michelin star standard' experience and was very disappointed. The service was excellent but the prices for the standard of food were astronomical in comparison to what you get. Regardless if the image has been changed, the prices are not representative of the standard of food. Very overpriced and underwhelming. An extremely underwhelming wagamama or soba springs to mind.

01/10/2025: This restaurant is an airless casual wine & soba bar, not a fine-dining, high-end Japanese restaurant. No sashimi, sushi, or really anything that we were expecting. I reserved for the "main bar counter," about a month in advance as it is advertised as a chef's counter. It is instead a server station/overflow space where all we witnessed was three gals struggling to pour a pint. Menus are cheap paper with a long (tiny printed) specials board listed on a chalkboard. It is recommended to take a photo of these specials on your phone & "zoom in." We were not walked through anything despite saying it was our first time. I have never been asked to take a photo of something at an upscale restaurant in my life. Service was poor. Food was boring and expensive. For a bistro with a long list of specials, I would have expected to hear about a few of them. And for a wine bar, maybe a pairing could have been suggested. I would have rather spent our night in Cork anywhere else.

25/08/2025: Terrible experience. This was my fourth visit to the place and I have to say today was the last one.We went for lunch today and we found the entire staff sitting and eating.The man who took our order was constantly getting up to bring drinks and food and then sitting down to eat again.While he was takin our order he was very impatient. This is very unprofessional.We got the wrong drinks order. Looking at him eating we didn't even bother complaining. I work in the restaurant for more than 20 years and I really understand the restaurant dynamic and that the staff needs to eat but paying customer shouldn't be involved in the process.

25/04/2025: We loved eating at Soba for the second time, it’s a great place. The food is really tasty, but the service is the best! The waitress was very kind and careful. We are very happy to have this place close to home. Thank you!
